Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country is set to release their highly-anticipated third LP, Horizons, on August 22nd (Retrace Music), the same day that they’ll be performing at the Ryman Auditorium and playing a midday set at Grimey’s! We hope you’ll make plans to join us in the record shop at noon, on Friday, 8/22, for an intimate instore performance by Donato at the ‘Other Church’ before he heads downtown to the ‘Mother Church’. In addition to playing in the shop, he’ll also be signing copies of Horizons for event attendees.

All who preorder the album from Grimey’s, either on our site here or in the record store, will receive a wristband with their purchase for Donato’s post-performance signing. Like space in the record store, wristbands are limited. Wristbands are required for the signing for those 13+ and guarantee entry to our event. (Kids 12 & under don’t require wristbands if attending with a wristband holding adult.) You can read more about our event on our site here. Daniel Donato has carved out a unique and individualized spot for himself, one that speaks to the deep American music heritage that inspires him - and that he's pushing towards the future with inspired, intentional vigor. It's an organic rock band aesthetic with plenty of roadhouse twang; Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country a showcase for Donato's instrumental virtuosity and facility for melodically infectious songcraft.

Led by acclaimed singer/songwriter and guitar virtuoso Donato, Horizons finds the band injecting a bolt of lightning into a wealth of American music with their signature brand of cosmic country and fearless musical explorations. The album is steeped in a foundation of country, rock, bluegrass, funk and more, with no walls or boundaries in sight. If features Donato (guitars/lead vocal), Nathan “Sugar Legg” Aronowitz (keyboards/vocals), Will “Mustang” McGee (bass/vocals), and William “Bronco” Clark (drums & percussion).

Horizons is available to preorder here as a 2 LP set pressed on clear blue vinyl. All preorders will include a wristband for Donato’s 8/22 album signing that also guarantees access to our event. Preorders are limited to total of TWO TOTAL per customer / household. For each album preordered, you’ll receive one wristband such that two LPs preordered = two wristbands, one LP preordered = one wristband, etc. All who place preorders in advance will receive an email with preorder pickup and event details on or by the day before our event.

At the event Donato will sign up to two albums per wristbanded attendee. Wristbands are required for the signing for all 13+ and guarantee entrance to our event. (Wristbands are not required for kids 12 & under attending with a wristband-holding adult.)

Preorders placed for local, event pickup will be available starting at 11:00 AM on the day of our event with Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, Friday, August 22nd.

*Event preorders for store pickup will be held for three months after the event date. Please pick up your copy of Horizons no later than November 22nd.
