Lots of action for you this week, folks! We've got some great events in the store this weekend. We're announcing some cool upcoming events. And we've got the first truly compelling slate of new releases of the new year for you tomorrow. Let's dig in...
I'm excited to announce that we will host Bring Me the Horizon for an in-store meet & greet and signing. The band will join us on Thursday, January 24th, at 5PM to meet fans and sign copies of their new album amo. The band is playing at Municipal Auditorium that Wednesday and the album drops on Friday, the 25th, so you'll get to meet the band and get the new record a day early. We are taking preorders for the vinyl ($25.99) and the CD ($13.99) beginning tomorrow, Friday, January 18th, at 10AM when we open. For each LP or CD you buy, you'll receive a wristband to go through the signing line on the 24th. We will begin taking orders over the phone (615-226-3811) on Monday, January 21st, at 10AM. See more details on the event detail page!
We also announce this week that The Mute Group will join us for a free, all ages live set in the shop on Saturday, January 26th, at 5PM. And please join us this weekend when Bill Lloyd rocks the shop on Saturday the 19th at 5PM. And Neyla Pekarek will serenade us with tunes from her debut solo LP this Sunday, January 20th, at 2PM. January is Poverty Awareness Month and Grimey's has partnered with the Martha O’Bryan Center to host a Hygiene Drive. We're collecting essential needs like toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, hand soap, disinfecting wipes, liquid bleach, laundry detergent, window cleaner, paper towels and tissues to donate to MOC, who will then put these items in the hands of those that truly need them. Some other rad local businesses are participating as well. Click here for more information and help those in need by dropping off your donations at Grimey's.
Thanks for reading and for supporting your local record store. We're here for you.
