Chat Pile - Who Loves the Sun CD/LP/cassette (The Flenser)
In a world increasingly shaped by disposable content, Chat Pile answer with something defiantly real and organic, a mentality that permeates Who Loves The Sun, their third full-length record. Since the band’s formation just over six years ago, the Oklahoma City-based quartet has grown from a scrappy passion project into one of the defining heavy acts to emerge from the 2020s underground. Charley Crockett - Clovis CD/2xLP (Atlantic)
Clovis is Charley Crockett's fourth full-length LP of original music in just 16 months, and his 17th studio album since his 2015 debut, A Stolen Jewel. Co-produced by Charley Crockett and his longtime creative ally, Grammy Award-winning producer Shooter Jennings, the album was largely written and recorded with The Blue Drifters in Clovis, New Mexico. The sessions took place at the iconic Norman Petty Studios, a national landmark where legends including Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, and Waylon Jennings cut some of their biggest hits in the 1950s. Steve Cropper & The Midnight Hour - Watching the Tide CD (Provogue)
To anyone who knows the roots and branches of American music, the passing of Steve Cropper in December 2025 was seismic. As guitarist, songwriter, producer and engineer - not just for the iconic Stax record label but on a forest of sessions and solo releases - the Tennessee soul man was the DNA that coursed through the post-war era. Little did we know this towering figure had one last ace to play in his lifetime, with Watching The Tide gathering A-list names including Eric Clapton, Brian May, Ronnie Wood and Billy Gibbons for 12 brand-new songs that Cropper ranked amongst the best of his career.

Riley Downing - Landfill Poetry CD/LP (Oh Boy)
For years, singer-songwriter Riley Downing has collected stories about life's overlooked moments and underappreciated people. He's unearthed these tales of castaway truths and once-faded recollections for Landfill Poetry, a sophomore solo album and Oh Boy Records debut. A native of small-town Missouri, the husky-voiced Downing may be best known as a member of noisemaking Americana outfit The Deslondes, a New Orleans-born band that he co-founded after meeting likeminded musicians at a folk festival in Oklahoma. On Landfill Poetry, his six-string worldbuilding takes listeners to the back of the trash truck ("Landfill Poetry"), inside the lonely hours of the graveyard paycheck ("Night Shift") and to the quiet moments after a hard day of work ("Porch Song").
Evanescence - Sanctuary 2xLP (BMG)
Released on CD in June, now available on vinyl. Entering a bold new era, Evanescence continues to push boundaries with their new album, Sanctuary. Hollow Hand - Wish Road South CD/LP (Loose Music)
The latest album from the project of singer-songwriter Max Kinghorn-Mills, following his 2023 album Your Own Adventure and subsequent tour with MJ Lenderman. While working on Wish Road South, Kinghorn-Mills was living with members of the band Holiday Ghosts, and exploring guitarist Sam Stacpoole’s record collection would find them listening to groups like The Clean, Violent Femmes and The Modern Lovers together. These influences, combined with his perennial love of 1970s folk-rock like Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, and Heron, plus a whiff of Coney Island Baby-era Lou Reed and some hard rock licks here and there, resulted in a distinct sonic palette for his sparkling new songs to be pushed through. The album is littered with similar examples of Kinghorn-Mills’ hook-laden songcraft, which is boosted by a production that is rich, warm and engulfing.

Thorn Wych - Aesthesis LP (Tompkins Square)
Thorn Wych, based outside Manchester UK, makes instruments from tree branches; bowed strings, flutes and percussion that she runs through a chain of loopers, pitch bending glitches and delay pedals. Strange songs sung in tongues, mashed up chewed and spat out. As the adder weaves her way through the dirt and mycelium hum, we play in the mud and converse with insects.
Ecca Vandal - Looking For People To Unfollow CD/LP (Loma Vista)

Lily Allen's era-defining iconic debut album Alright, Still celebrates its 20th anniversary with this limited-edition picture disc pressing. Housed in a gatefold sleeve with silver foil featuring new anniversary artwork, the tracklist includes the hits 'Smile', 'LDN', 'Alfie' and 'Littlest Things', plus the bonus track 'Nan You're a Window Shopper'.
Amyl & the Sniffers - Truth or Consequence CD (Amyl & the Sniffers)
Truth or Consequence is a live album following the concert film of the same title, in which Amyl and The Sniffers perform country-influenced versions of their songs, two unreleased tracks, and a cover of the Slim Dusty classic 'Lights On The Hill'. It was recorded and filmed in front of an intimate and increasingly rowdy audience at El Coyote in Los Angeles, on 28 April 2025, by the band's long-time collaborator, John Angus Stewart.
Antietam - The Counting Game LP (Dromedary Records)
Antietam rises again! Named after the bloodiest day in American history, the NYC rock trio releases their 14th studio album. "The Counting Game" brings both the classic Antietam sound featuring Tara Key's soaring, melodic guitar solos, and some new, unpredictable elements. Antietam debuted at CBGBs in 1984, and more than 40 years on, still makes innovative, guitar-driven postpunk.
Bob Azzam & the Great Expectation - Bob Azzam & the Great Expectation LP (Real Gone Music)
This 1969 oddity goes for big bucks if you can find it for a couple of obvious reasons. First, the drum break on the cover of Alvin Toussaint's classic "Rain Rain (Go Away)" has become legend among crate diggers and samplers. The other is that the version of the Stones' "The Last Time" is astonishingly psychedelic, a delirium of fuzz guitar, electric sitar, rumbling piano, and throbbing bass punctuated by soaring, Left Banke-esque vocal choruses. But, those highlights aside, this one-off album from Egyptian vocalist Wadie George "Bob" Azzam and his merry band of pranksters is a refreshingly eclectic and highly listenable affair leavened with a hint of electronic weirdness a la Lothar and the Hand People or Silver Apples. Angelo Badalamenti - Blue Velvet O.S.T. LP (Varese Sarabande)
In honor of the 40th anniversary of David Lynch's 1986 masterpiece Blue Velvet, Varese Sarabande is excited to present a new vinyl edition of Angelo Badalamenti's music for the film. Lynch and Badalamenti, who both passed away in 2025 after decades as one of cinema's most iconic creative collaborators, forged a singular sonic world from Twin Peaks to Mulholland Drive. This new edition presents the soundtrack composed and conducted by Badalamenti in a special collectible Rainbow Foil jacket. Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Another Level. This is Blackstreet's second studio album, released in 1996 through Interscope Records. The album represents the group at their commercial peak, blending smooth R&B harmonies with hip-hop production and a polished, radio-ready sound. Another Level was a major commercial success, earning multi-platinum certification and solidifying Blackstreet as one of the leading R&B groups of the 1990s. The album played a key role in shaping the fusion of R&B and hip-hop that defined the era.
Meredith Brooks - Blurring the Edges LP (Capitol)
Meredith Brooks released her debut album, Blurring the Edges, in 1997 on Capitol Records. It spawned the era-defining smash hit, "Bitch," a Top 10 single in multiple countries that earned her Grammy nominations for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and Best Rock Song. Produced by David Ricketts, the album also includes the singles, "I Need" and "What Would Happen."
Various Artists - Can't Stop It! II - Australian Post-Punk 1979-84 2xLP (Chapter Music)
The second instalment of Chapter Music's acclaimed Australian post-punk compilation series Can't Stop It! is released on vinyl for the first time as a deluxe double album. The compilation was originally released on CD in 2007 and presents an incredible array of inventive and often previously unheard music from the period 1979-1984. This is a fantastically rich and dynamic time in Australian music history, a time when Australia stepped out of the shadows of overseas influence and asserted it's own musical identity for perhaps the first time. Can't Stop It! II features tracks that have now become touchstones in Australia's post-punk history, including Lamborghini by Severed Heads and proto Oz-rap classic Do the Job by Use No Hooks, plus early works by the likes of Dead Can Dance's Lisa Gerrard and Hunters & Collectors' Mark Seymour.
Case/Lang/Veirs - Case/Lang/Veirs 2xLP (Anti)
Deluxe edition of the 2016 album from the supergroup of singer-songwriters Neko Case, kd lang and Laura Veirs. case/lang/veirs is a true collaboration between three phenomenal, self-driven artists: "the strongest voices in their field - lang the full-voiced seductress, Case the hurricane, and Veirs the wry storyteller" (Pitchfork). The women wrote all 14 songs and shared lead vocals equally, sometimes even within the same track. Full of stunning harmonies and spellbinding rhythms, case/lang/veirs travels through aches and eras, torch songs and tributes to the undersung. The Cranberries - Live at the London Astoria II, 1994 2xLP (Island)
In 1994, while on tour promoting their breakthrough debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, The Cranberries made a stop at the historic London Astoria II, and the recording from that performance has been remastered for this release. Featuring performances of the now classic hits "Linger" & "Dreams," as well as tracks that would be released on follow-up No Need To Argue, including "Zombie."
Dada - Puzzle 2xLP (Real Gone Music)
There is a long list of early '90s albums that were unjustly ignored in the wake of the era's grunge explosion. A lot of them were metal releases, but when it comes to alternative rock records, Dada's 1992 record Puzzle would be right at the top. Psychedelia and sunny SoCal sounds undercut by healthy skepticism ("Dizz Knee Land") regarding the region's charms render Puzzle worthy of its title, an impression reinforced by the enigmatic, Rorschach-like cover art. Power pop and even some funk add to the allure of this noir-ish album, which is as hard to classify as it is to resist. [Green & yellow "Troll Hair" color vinyl pressing.]
The Donnas - The Donnas LP (Real Gone Music)
Blessed with a formidable frontwoman in Brett Anderson, a guitar heroine in Allison Robertson, and a pummeling rhythm section in bassist Maya Ford and drummer Torry Castellano, The Donnas were one of the greatest punk bands of the '90s, male or female, bringing a uniquely hedonistic yet feminist viewpoint to the genre. And here is where it all started; recorded when they were still in high school, The Donnas' 1997 debut was and will forever be one of the most infectious, sing-along slabs of punk ever waxed. When Freddy Krueger of Nightmare on Elm Street and Jason Voorhees of Friday the 13th butted heads in the 2003 film Freddy Vs. Jason, the result wasn't just the most financially successful film for either franchise; it was also the inspiration for one of the greatest heavy metal soundtracks ever. Drawn from the Roadrunner label roster, the line-up featured songs from Sepultura, Slipknot, Type O Negative, Sevendust, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, Chimaira, and more. Garden Variety - Garden Variety LP (Numero)
The 1993 split point between pop punk and emo is no better illustrated than by Garden Variety's self-titled debut. While Billy and Bivouac flirted with the mainstream, this Long Island trio proposed at the post-hardcore prom. Muscular octave guitar chug with a side of late night zine work at the local diner. Mort Garson - Mother Earth's Plantasia (50th Anniversary) LP (Sacred Bones)
Limited edition Dinked International reissue, pressed on Spruce color vinyl with a bonus Plant Journal. Mort Garson was a composer who scored the 1969 moon landing and helmed arrangements for Doris Day and Glen Campbell, but once he met Robert Moog and began tinkering with the Moog synthesizer, he decided to leave pop music behind in favor of working with this cutting-edge synth. Developed with the Moog synthesizer and released in 1976, Plantasia, subtitled "warm earth music for plants... and the people that love them," was given away for free with house plants sold at Mother Earth in Los Angeles. While the jury's still out on whether playing Plantasia for plants truly helps them to be happy and healthy, Garson's album of bright and bubbly synth compositions has garnered critical acclaim and a cult following decades on from its original release.
Allen Ginsberg - Howl and Other Poems LP (Craft Recordings)
Released to mark the centennial of Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997), this edition of Howl and Other Poems captures the raw urgency and cultural force of a recording that helped define the Beat Generation. Ginsberg's unmistakable voice brings new intensity to the poem's fearless rhythms, radical candor, and emotional precision, preserving the energy and defiance that made Howl one of modern American literature's most influential works. Elliot Goldenthal - Stephen King's Pet Sematary (Music from the Motion Picture) LP (Real Gone Music)
While it obviously references such classics of the genre as Bernard Herrmann’s Psycho and Lalo Schifrin’s The Amityville Horror, Elliot Goldenthal’s first-ever Hollywood score for Stephen King’s Pet Sematary displays the avant-garde verve we’ve come to expect from his subsequent work in the classical, theater, and film (e.g. his Academy Award-winning score for Frida) worlds. Employing the wordless vocals of a boy’s choir, a small orchestral ensemble, and electronics, Goldenthal creates an increasingly unsettling atmosphere, highlighted by “The Return Game II (Louis and Gage),” which is like the music to the shower scene in Psycho on steroids. Grateful Dead - Live At Ted Askey's Pig Farm 1970 2xLP (Ozit)
Grateful Dead's first ever gig in UK and Europe 1970. 56 years ago the Grateful Dead made their first trip across the pond to play at the Hollywood Festival. The two-day outdoor event was packed with a variety of local and national talent, which included the likes of Traffic, Ginger Baker’s Airforce, Mungo Jerry, The Flamin Groovies, Tony Joe White, a very young Black Sabbath, and Jose Feliciano. The Dead performed a fine electric set despite the tiny stage, crowded press arena, and a PA and monitoring system that they weren't able to hear. No problem, the boys played full tilt for three hours straight to the delight of the Newcastle-under-Lyme freaks and adventurous locals. One reviewer said “It represents a band playing at the edge of new possibilities and ideas.” [Indie exclusive red vinyl pressing.]
Greet Death - Die in Love LP (Deathwish)
Greet Death is a five-piece shoegaze band from Michigan. The band's dizzying melodic nature shines throughout the nine tracks on their beautifully melancholic 2025 album, featuring delicate acoustic shimmers, somber percussion, and high-volume post-everything fuzz.
My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade LP (Reprise)
The third studio album by My Chemical Romance, first released in October 2006. A concept album, it is centered on the story of a man suffering from terminal cancer known as "The Patient", as he nears the end of his life. In 2006 the four-piece began writing their first songs in Norwich, UK, releasing "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot..." and "Open Closed Open" in 2008 on the retroactively titled First CD (aka demo or free cd), the original physical copies of which were homespun and given away gratis at shows. Squint your ears and you’ll hear it — Pat Metheny-clean fancy-chord guitar puzzlings, each patiently layered into languid, hypnotic Steve Reich math cul-de-sacs; interlocking hammered dulcimer and vibraphones that fall and billow like the rare heavy snow day in a southern town; the hushed-n-confident vocalizations of Patrick Phelan and Nathan Lambdin, backed by the steady rhythms of drummer Tod Parkhill.
