Angela Autumn - Believer CD/LP (Gar Hole)

Angela Autumn has always been drawn to the mountains. Raised in the Appalachian region of western Pennsylvania, she channels that landscape in her voice, funneling the timeless influence of mountain streams and rolling foothills into her genre-bending folksongs. But with her second album, she proves she's every bit as interested in the modern age as tradition. Believer is a musical melting pot of a record, blending the rustic music of Autumn's past with the hybridized sounds (including indie rock, psychedelia, pop, and gothic country) of her present. Audiences still call her "The Rose of Appalachia" - a nickname that nods to the Allegheny roots and clawhammer banjo skills that helped her blossom into a critically-beloved solo artist. Bloc Party - Anatomy of a Brief Romance CD/LP (Contagious)

Following a world tour with their friends Paramore and performances at the Reading & Leeds festivals, Bloc Party are back with a new studio album, their first since 2022's Alpha Games. Anatomy of a Brief Romance is a narrative work examining a year-long relationship in intimate and often brutal detail, realized in the studio with the legendary Trevor Horn (Art of Noise, the Buggles). Kele, Russell, Louise & Harry continue to stake their claim on people's affections with a co-headline UK & Europe arena tour with Interpol this autumn as well as a run of massive outdoor shows in the US with Muse. Bonobo - Distance in Static CD/2xLP (Ninja Tune)

The follow-up to 2022's Fragments, Distance in Static is the latest album from British musician, producer and DJ Simon Green, AKA Bonobo, finding Green collaborating with a striking cast of artists including Arooj Aftab, Joy Crookes, Nilüfer Yanya, Ichiko Aoba, Nicole Miglis, & Aanya Martin. Lyrics appear in English, Urdu and Japanese, while historic Iranian samples & guzheng recordings sit alongside Green's own meticulously processed instrumentation, woven together across recording sessions spanning LA, Tokyo, London and beyond – with a significant portion of the record completed at Neil Young’s legendary Broken Arrow Ranch. The duality of Green as a live artist and DJ, introspective composer and club-focussed selector, sits at the heart of the album, a record that is full of depth, detail and emotion; both beautiful and banging. Ezra Collective - Here Because of Hope CD/2xLP (Partisan)

Ezra Collective's latest album is the most ambitious and personal record of their career - conceived as a body of work split into three spiritual and geographical movements, the album traces the movement of Black people across continents and decades, from the music of Africa to the rhythms of the Caribbean, and home to the streets of London. Formed in the youth clubs of London, Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winners Femi Koleoso, TJ Koleoso, Joe Armon-Jones, James Mollison and Ife Ogunjobi have now spent over a decade making jazz joyful, urgent and undeniable. On Here Because of Hope, they push that vision further than ever, asking a simple but profound question: why does so much Black music born out of pain sound so joyful? Brian Fallon - Not Bad for New Jersey CD (Nash York Records)

Brian Fallon reunites with producer Butch Walker (Fall Out Boy, Green Day) for his first collection of original solo songs since 2020's Local Honey. Fallon is best known as the frontman of The Gaslight Anthem (The '59 Sound, Handwritten). Featuring Brandon Flowers (The Killers), Phil Collen (Def Leppard), Lori McKenna, Donovan Woods, and guitarist Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Robert Plant). Eleven tracks of high-energy, power-pop-leaning rock about underdogs turning setbacks into rocket fuel.

FKJ - Tyber LP (Mom + Pop)

Across French producer FKJ's new album Tyber, groove-driven compositions sit alongside jazz-led instrumentals, sample-heavy explorations and more direct songwriting moments, moving seamlessly through funk, alt-pop, R&B and psychedelic textures without ever losing cohesion. The album feels both deeply personal and globally informed, spotlighting an artist documenting his evolution in real time. Tyber also features an expansive list of collaborators including Lucy Park, Baby Rose, Bas, Eryn Allen Kane and Labrinth, further reflecting the breadth of influences and perspectives woven throughout the project. Green Lung - Necropolitan CD/LP (Nuclear Blast)

The funeral bell is tolling, the ravens have left the tower - the long-awaited fourth album from London's lords of the riff Green Lung is finally upon us. Hey, Nothing - Hound LP (Interscope)

hey, nothing is the Athens, GA-based emo-folk duo of Tyler Mabry and Harlow Phillips. Hound is their debut full-length album. [Red and smoke split color vinyl pressing.]

The Hu - Hun 2xLP (Better Noise)

Mongolian folk metal band The Hu return with their new album Hun, pushing the limits of rock and taking the world along with them. Building on the international breakthroughs of The Gereg and Rumble of Thunder, the band sharpens its fusion of traditional Mongolian instrumentation and throat singing with modern rock production. Hug - Hug LP (Luaka Bop)

Frogs, condensed milk, the patter of rain. This is the new collaborative project from Gyan Riley, Devendra Banhart, and Noah Georgeson. Ibibio Sound Machine - Chopping Mountain LP (Merge)

The new record by Ibibio Sound Machine is the clearest rendering yet of the London collective's longstanding mission to promote love, unity, and resistance through music. It is the band's sixth full-length record, and the first to feature the band's Max Grunhard as producer since 2019's Doko Mien. Following their Hot Chip-produced breakthrough Electricity (2022) and the darker, clubbier inflection of the Ross Orton-produced Pull the Rope (2024), Chopping Mountain feels like it was pulled directly from the hearts and experiences of the Eno Williams and Grunhard-led band. Buddy Miller - Buddy Miller CD/LP (New West Records)

Buddy Miller cleared out the kitchen to make room for a drum kit. What followed is his first solo album in fifteen years - twelve songs of soul, country, early rock 'n' roll, and gospel, made with a community of friends and collaborators that spans five decades of American music. Features appearances by Jim Lauderdale, Shawn Colvin, Dan Penn, the War & Treaty, the McCrary Sisters, Lee Ann Womack, Emmylou Harris, and more. The core band (Fred Eltringham, Viktor Krauss, Tim Lauer, Steve Fishell, Fats Kaplin) plays with the understated nuance of musicians who have nothing left to prove. Five of the twelve songs are Julie Miller compositions, and the album closes on her words: "The greatest works of man are just a masterpiece in the sand." [Indie exclusive clear vinyl pressing. Mystery Jets - A Hole to See the Sky Through LP (Fiction)

Mystery Jets are a highly regarded London-based indie rock band, known for their evolving, critically acclaimed albums and captivating live performances. The group returns with A Hole To See The Sky Through, a conceptually rich new album that acts as the inward-facing counterpart to Curve of the Earth, shifting focus from vast external landscapes to the intimate ways we perceive and process the world. The album cover is borrowed (with permission) from Yoko Ono's artwork of the same name. [Indie exclusive blue vinyl pressing.]

Standing on the Corner - Standing on the Corner II LP (XL)

Founded in Brooklyn, Standing on the Corner is a group whose output moves mercurially between composition, performance, film, installation, social work, and sound. Rooted in the cultural exchange between the U.S.A., Puerto Rico, and Africa, the project machinates an intersection between soul, punk, salsa, doowop, jazz, funk, the avant-garde, and rap traditions, filtered through a distinctly New York City sensibility. On SOTC "II" the New York outfit channels their philosophy into a 15-track album recorded by bandleader Gio Escobar and core collaborators Jack "Wacko" Nolan, Buz "Man-man" Donald, and Clérida "Ca$h Clay" Eltimé. The result is a tense, genre-defacing record that exists between fried psychedelia, rock-n-roll, no-wave rap, r&b, and post-hardcore energy; a mirror to a national moment of searching for meaning/nothing/sounds/silence/creation/or destruction, through an overarching instability, alienation, decline, and refusal. Collaborators include: The Warlockettes, Ladybug Mecca, Styles P, Bubba Dupree, Claudette Ortiz, Sonia Sanchez, Solange, and Danny Brown. [CD due out 9/18.]

Sylvan Esso - Ow ∞ CD/LP/cassette (Psychic Hotline)

On their new album, Sylvan Esso metabolizes a life of making music with people into making art that you just love, a tactile and enveloping freefall. Written across four years in the woods in Chapel Hill, the longest the band has ever spent writing a record, Ow ∞ (pronounced 'Ow Infinity') arrives with an intense immediacy. Most of the tracks here are Meath's first vocal takes, and the clarity and humanness of her singular voice anchors the album in something real. It was born from a time of experimentation and collaboration, resulting in a sinewy, punchy, explosive work where the songs want to claw their way out. A technicolor totem of personal destruction, the feeling of being pummeled to silly putty and built back into something that feels almost human, almost familiar but freakish and new - a cartoonish, slapstick grin printed across a ruin. This Is Lorelei - The Singer in My Band CD/LP+7" (Matador)

The last few years have been transformative for Nate Amos. Between delivering breakout records both as a solo artist — under his This Is Lorelei moniker — and with his band Water From Your Eyes, sold out shows across multiple continents, to seeing some of today’s most influential artists cover his songs (MJ Lenderman, Hayley Williams, Jeff Tweedy, Cameron Winter), the ascending songwriter has found his stride. The Singer in My Band takes the building blocks of the Great American Songbook and twists those elemental pieces into new shapes, at once both strangely familiar and endearingly offbeat in Amos’ signature style. These are songs about songwriting as a way of life – messy, debilitating, transcendent – from one of the most gifted contemporary interpreters of the form. The Tubs - Hard Life LP (Merge)

The Tubs have never lacked for ambition - on Hard Life, theirs is to complicate the Tub-ular experience. Having perfected their chemistry across two prior albums, hundreds of shows, and an ever-expanding universe of bands affiliated with London's Gob Nation Collective (The TSG, Sniffany & The Nits, Spike, and Garden Centre), the London-based Celtic jangle boyband push themselves further into the shimmering heart of virtuosic indie rock. The secret to Hard Life's lushness is the addition of fiddle player Chris Haigh, an instructor and session musician who left an indelible mark on British pop on Steps' "5, 6, 7, 8." Mirroring frontman Owen Williams' use of trilling on vocal melodies, Haigh's fiddle shades the vocalist's rueful croon like a bruise. WU LYF - A Wave That Will Never Break CD/LP (Lyf Recordings)

This album marks WU LYF's first full-length release in fifteen years. Rather than arriving through traditional streaming channels, A Wave That Will Never Break was initially made available exclusively through the band's L y F community, where members were invited into a wider world of films, journals, and hidden music.

Richard Ashcroft - Live Vol. 1 2xCD/2xLP

Fresh off the back of his latest #3 UK charting album 'Lovin You', Richard Ashcroft releases his first ever live album, a collection of recordings spanning his solo career as well as highlights from The Verve. This release comes before a summer of festivals and special shows take over. [Yellow vinyl pressing.]

Anna Butterss - Mighty Vertebrate LP (International Anthem)

Mighty Vertebrate is the 2024 International Anthem debut from Anna Butterss. The Adelaide-born bassist / composer has been a first call for LA tour and studio work since relocating there in 2014 – racking up credits with artists across the experimental, jazz, and pop worlds alike – but their most notable contributions to the burgeoning LA scene have been as a member of both Jeff Parker’s ETA IVtet and proto-trance supergroup SML, who Pitchfork says “represents the thrilling next phase of a vibrant L.A. community.” On Mighty Vertebrate, they convene a group of trusted longtime collaborators to bring their compositions to fruition: Ben Lumsdaine (drums, guitar, production), Josh Johnson (sax), and Gregory Uhlmann (guitar), plus a smoking guest appearance from Jeff Parker. Dance Gavin Dance - Pantheon 2xLP (Z2)

Indie exclusive color vinyl edition of the 2025 album from the post-hardcore/metalcore band, their 11th studio album and the first with new frontman Andrew Wells. Enlightenment - Faith is the Key LP (Nature Sounds)

Founded by ordained bishop Larry H. Jordan and his brother-in-law Frank Tinsley in the early 1980s, Enlightment was among the first groups to fuse modern R&B production with gospel themes. Unfortunately, the independent release of their 1984 debut album Faith Is The Key was torpedoed when both their distributor and pressing plant went out of business. "We knew we were getting airplay across the country, but we couldn't get the product in the stores at the time", explains Tinsley of the missed opportunity. Only a handful of Faith Is the Key LPs ever made it into the public's hands. As a result, the record became a holy grail for collectors. 

Geoff Farina - FFF 2xLP (Numero)

Geoff Farina's Southern Records tenure was not just about Karate. His late-90s guitar-and-vocal solo output included the bedroom-recorded Usonian Dream Sequence that echoed The Secret Stars' intimate lo-fi sentiments, Reverse Eclipse that rode the more delicate fringes of Unsolved-era Karate, and the single Steely Dan, a paean to a contemporaneous guilty pleasure. FFF collects all three long-out-of-print releases here on vinyl for the first time, fastidiously packaged and punctuated with Farina's written reflections on their making. [White vinyl pressing.]

First Day Back - Forward LP (FDB)

First Day Back's self-released DIY masterstroke Forward, heralded as the rightful torchbearers of second wave emo, recalls the vocal exasperation of Cap'n Jazz, the twinkle of American Football, and the youthful exuberance of Braid, all while reinventing the sound with the organic additions of violin and harmonica. A love letter to the past, post-dated well into the future. [Indie exclusive ultra clear vinyl pressing.]

The Force M.D.'s - Let Me Love You: The Greatest Hits 2xLP (Tommy Boy)

Formed in the early 80's, the Force M.D.'s began as a traveling street troupe, performing around the city at locations like Times Square, the Greenwich Village and on the Staten Island ferry, wowing crowds with their Hip Hop and R&B hybrid sound, incorporating impressive melodies, harmonies, beat-boxing, and rapping. The Force was discovered by Tom Silverman at the 1983 Afrika Bambaataa Zulu Nation anniversary party where he saw their unique blend of hip-hop with R&B and doo wop harmonies. This collection features radio hits like "Let Me Love You," "Forgive Me Girl," and the Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-penned song "Tender Love," which was featured in the movie Krush Groove and has been covered by artists such as Alicia Keys and the Backstreet Boys. The Frogs - My Daughter the Broad 2xLP (Foreign Leisure)

The Frogs classic 1996 album, originally released by Matador Records and long out of print, is back on random-colored double LP with eight bonus tracks. The Milwaukee duo's absurd improvised songs were beloved by Kurt Cobain, Eddie Vedder, Billy Corgan and many more. The last Frogs vinyl reissue (of 1989's classic It's Only Right and Natural) disappeared in a flash. These hilarious songs ("one of the funniest albums of all time" says Magnet) are not for the faint of heart, but they are incredible.

Funkadelic - Maggot Brain CD/SACD/LP/2xLP/cassette (Org Music)

Released in 1971, Maggot Brain stands as the towering masterpiece in Funkadelic's groundbreaking catalog. Initially misunderstood upon release, the album is now widely regarded as one of the most influential records of all time. Anchored by Eddie Hazel's otherworldly guitar performance on the legendary title track and featuring enduring favorites like "Can You Get To That," Maggot Brain redefined the possibilities of funk, rock, and psychedelic music. There are two vinyl editions available: a single LP pressed on Armageddon Red vinyl, and a 2 LP set that plays at 45 RPM for enhanced audio quality. Also available on CD, cassette, and Super Audio CD.

Gogol Bordello - Gypsy Punks: Underground World Strike 2xLP (SideOneDummy)

Vince Guaraldi - A Charlie Brown Christmas LP (Fantasy)

With such iconic tracks as “Christmas Time is Here” and the instantly recognizable “Linus and Lucy”, the Vince Guaraldi Trio’s soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas remains the second–best-selling jazz title in history, and was certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA in late 2022. Ben Kweller - On My Way 2xLP (The Noise Company)

Ben Kweller's sophomore album, never before released on vinyl. On My Way is a seminal album from the early 2000's garage revival. Upon its initial release in 2004, Kweller was touring the world with fellow NYC luminaries, The Strokes, and the album flew up the college charts. On My Way Deluxe is a 2LP release featuring the original album remastered by audio legend Howie Weinberg, plus 12 previously unreleased rarities including demos and B-sides from the era. Man or Astro-Man? - Experiment Zero LP (Touch & Go)

Originally released 30 years ago and recorded in three days at Man or Astro-man?'s own studio Zero Return in Alabama with Steve Albini, Experiment Zero stands as one of the great modern surf-influenced guitar instrumental records. Wanting Experiment Zero to stand as their masterpiece of the long evolution of surf music, Man or Astro-Man? began to evolve at a greater velocity than ever before. They further morphed their sound, extending the use of their samples, computer programming, keyboards, electronic gadgetry and experimental analog tape cutting and pasting. [Orange vinyl pressing.]

Various Artists - Nigeria 80 CD/2xLP (Strut)

Strut presents Nigeria 80, the next essential chapter in the legendary Nigeria 70 series, diving deep into the explosive sound world of 1980s Nigeria. First-time official reissues of standout tracks spanning highlife, juju, Afrobeat, reggae, and early fusion sounds - from Victor Uwaifo and Nico Mbarga to Evi-Edna Ogholi and I.C. Rock. Osibisa - Welcome Home LP (Prestige Elite Records)

One of the first African-led bands to break into the British mainstream, Osibisa helped define the sound of Afro-rock in 1970s Europe. Formed in London by Ghanaian saxophonist Teddy Osei, the group fused highlife traditions with rock, jazz, funk, soul, and psychedelic influences—creating a vibrant, globally resonant sound. Welcome Home (1975) marked the band’s debut for Bronze Records and a new creative chapter under manager-producer Gerry Bron, capturing Osibisa at a pivotal moment of crossover success. The album includes the enduring hit “Sunshine Day,” a joyous, feel-good anthem that remains one of the band’s most beloved tracks. [Psychedelic splatter color vinyl pressing.]

Osibisa - Ojah Awake LP (Prestige Elite Records)

The pioneers of Afro-fusion return with a reissue of Ojah Awake (1976), celebrating the album’s 50th anniversary. Translating from Twi as “Fire Awake,” the record channels a powerful spiritual energy - an invitation to ignite the inner self through rhythm and movement. Originally released on the Bronze label (with producer Gerry Bron), this era of the band’s sound leans into a sleeker, more commercially polished production, seamlessly blending traditional highlife roots with the shimmering textures of disco. Bursting with infectious grooves and uplifting melodies, standout tracks like “Dance The Body Music” and “The Coffee Song” showcase Osibisa’s signature fusion of African rhythms and global appeal. "This joyous magic is dedicated to all the innocent people suffering from wars and oppression." Teddy Osei’s critically acclaimed Osibisa perform a double-album set live in concert at the Royal Festival Hall - July 19, 1977. The London/African collective of Ghanaian-Caribbean backgrounds fuse highlife, funk, soul, rock & psychedelic influences in the stunning ‘Black Magic Night’. This is essentially a greatest hits collection performed live on stage for fans in the city where it all began. [Blue & gold color vinyl pressing.]

Osibisa - African Flight (Prestige Elite Records)

More world-fusion from this seventies line-up of Osibisa. Big festival energy with bold brass, African rhythms, psychedelic fuzz and disco-highlife. Perfect for listeners who enjoy Santana, Fela Kuti or global brass bands with a danceable edge. This was recorded between Roundhouse Studios and Music Works Studio in London and belongs in the top tier of Osibisa studio albums. It was produced by band-leader and founder, the prolific Teddy Osei. [Yellow bumblebee color vinyl pressing.]

Jeff Parker - The New Breed LP (International Anthem)

Jeff Parker's 2016 album The New Breed was a turning point for both Parker and International Anthem, changing the trajectory of his solo career as well as drawing an abundance of attention to the fresh imprint despite their then very limited catalog. Most importantly though, the album is the first to give voice to Parker's wholly unique take on sample-based beat construction augmented by improvisation and live instrumentation (performed in this case by the high-level crew of Paul Bryan on bass, Josh Johnson on alto saxophone and keys, Jamire Williams and Jay Bellerose on drums, Parker's daughter Ruby on vocals, and Parker himself on guitar, synths, and other instruments). What began as Jeff's interest in understanding his own idea of hip-hop processes (and how they related to his work in jazz) expanded into a blueprint for much of his work since then.

Ann Peebles - Tellin' It LP (Fat Possum)

Ann Peebles' 1975 album on Hi Records, produced by Willie Mitchell, featuring her signature Memphis soul sound, heartfelt ballads, and groovy funk tracks.

Pegboy - Strong Reaction LP (Quarterstick)

Sure, members of Pegboy have been in other bands. Some might even say "seminal". You would expect that Pegboy would garner considerable attention by virtue of their pedigree alone (guitarist John Haggerty was in Naked Raygun, drummer Joe Haggerty served in Bloodsport and Effigies and singer Larry Damore and bassist Steve Saylors were in Bhopal Stiffs). Originally released in 1991, their first full length album Strong Reaction showed the band both fine tuning their considerable grasp on hard charging melodic punk on songs like "Superstar" and "What To Do," and branching into a toe crunching instrumental like "Locomotivelung" - that's what Slayer would sound like if they got haircuts and jobs. Pixies - Bossanova CD/LP+7" (Matador)
Pixies - Trompe le Monde CD/LP+7" (Matador)

Remastered reissues of the legendary rock band's 1990 and 1991 studio albums. As they celebrate their 40th Anniversary with an international tour, Pixies are releasing songs from the vault that have been otherwise unavailable, dating from 1987 to 1991, as part of remasters of their albums Bossanova and Trompe le Monde. Two special limited-edition vinyl pressings, exclusive to Dinked’s newly launched Dinked International Editions, include bonus 7"s featuring two unearthed songs – “Dig For Fire (Albini Version)” and “Go Man Go” (included with Bossanova), and “Brackish Boy” and “Punk Loop” (included with Trompe le Monde). This edition of Bossanova is pressed on Oxblood color vinyl, and Trompe le Monde is pressed on sky blue vinyl. 

Solex - Low Kick and Hard Bop LP (Matador)

Originally released in 2001, available on vinyl for the first time. Solex is the pseudonym of singer-songwriter and former Amsterdam record store owner Elisabeth Esselink, who came up with a deft blend of low-key techno and 'found sounds.' This technique culminates on Low Kick And Hard Bop, where she sourced material from old vinyl, television, the better-looking talk show hosts, films, bootlegs, radio, street noises, and animals. Daniel Villarreal - Lados B LP (International Anthem)

Originally released in 2023. In October 2020, drummer Daniel Villarreal was joined by guitarist Jeff Parker and bassist Anna Butterss for two afternoons of recording in the backyard of Chicali Outpost in Los Angeles. Some choice moments from these sessions made it onto Villarreal's critically-acclaimed 2022 album Panamá 77, but most of the music remained unreleased. Lados B is a deep dive into the high-level spontaneous music made by Villarreal, Parker, and Butterss across those two days in 2020. Villarreal is heard leading the group through various rhythmic modes and structures for improvisation - flow as informed by the Latin funk of Fania Records as it is by the otherworldly humanity trance of Brain Records - while Parker and Butterss draw on their extensive experience playing free together to build harmonic buoys for their spontaneous melodicism.
