Here's your weekly rundown of what's hitting the new release racks at Grimey's
New Releases
After - Fell Asleep in the Sun CD/LP (Mom + Pop)
After is the Y2K-tinged trip-hop pop project of Graham Epstein and Justine Dorsey. Born on the same day, August 23, 1995, the duo channels influences from Michelle Branch to Portishead, Fountains of Wayne to Enigma, crafting music that feels both nostalgic and new. Standouts like "Take Me to Sunrise, " "Promise (When You Go), " and "Snowburn, " showcase After's signature blend of dreamy melodies, textured production, and emotional resonance. [Metallic silver vinyl pressing.]
Ashe - The Girl of Your Dreams CD/LP (Atlantic)
The highly anticipated fourth studio album and Atlantic debut from multi-platinum-certified singer-songwriter Ashe. The album features the hit single "Stop The Wedding!" and follows her acclaimed trilogy of albums - Ashlyn, Rae, and Willson - as well as her recent collaboration with FINNEAS on "The Favors." [Indie exclusive blush pink vinyl pressing.]
@ - Autosmile CD/LP (4AD)
Songwriters Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak are the creative force behind @, a singular duo whose inventive collaboration has reimagined psychedelic folk for a new generation. On Autosmile, their first album for 4AD, the pair expand on the acclaimed promise of their debut Mind Palace Music, blending timeless songwriting with adventurous arrangements, dense harmonies, and a playful spirit that constantly pushes beyond genre boundaries. Recorded largely at home with a humble collection of equipment and enriched by contributions from close friends on cello, violin, and drums, Autosmile transforms lo-fi methods into something remarkably lush, immersive, and emotionally resonant. The album moves effortlessly between haunting folk textures, progressive flourishes, indie-pop hooks, and moments of cinematic beauty. [Soil brown color vinyl pressing.]
The Avalanches - No Bad Memories 2xLP (Astralwerks)
The Avalanches return with their fourth album No Bad Memories, inspired by the simultaneously magical and unsettling ways advertising, technology and pop culture become woven into the fabric of our memories. 'No Bad Memories' is an ambivalent love letter to the nostalgic pull of commercial jingles, start-up chimes and forgotten audio logos. Featuring collaborators including Karen O, Jamie XX, Portraits of Tracy + many more. [Yellow vinyl pressing.]
Babehoven - I See Them, I See Me CD/LP (Double Double Whammy)
The third album from the Hudson NY based indie folk duo of Maya Bon and Ryan Albert. For the first time in Babehoven's prolific output, Bon and Albert blew the doors open on their process, inviting in three different engineers to capture the songs in four different studios. The all-star line-up includes Sam Evian, Kevin Copeland, and Phil Weinrobe, who also acted as co-producer. From the opening track "You're a Liar," the band establishes a new palette: a rollicking blend of indie and alt-country that sparkles with slide guitar, hardanger fiddle, and a sprightly vocal twang paying homage to Emmylou Harris and Patsy Cline, with classic folk-rock artists like Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and The Band as further touchstones.
Benny Sings - 22 Durnham Dew LP (Stones Throw)
22 Durnham Dew follows Benny Sings' acclaimed 2023 album Young Hearts, which was produced in collaboration with Kenny Beats. After decades of touring and recording, Benny has recently embraced a more grounded, family-focused lifestyle. "The new music is all about that, my adult life as a real person. It sure is something." Benny Sings is one of the most distinctive voices in modern pop, a master craftsman whose music radiates warmth and effortless charm. Blending soul, jazz, and feel-good groove into a sound that feels both timeless and forward-thinking.
Bibio & Dorian Concept - Answers LP (Warp)
Longtime friends Bibio and Dorian Concept reunite for a collaborative instrumental album. Having known each other for over a decade, the pair build on a natural creative rapport shaped through recent joint efforts - including Bibio's rework of Dorian Concept's "Hide" (2024) and their track "An Unopened Letter", the closer on Dorian Concept's latest album Miniatures (2025). Bibio, an English producer known for blending folk, ambient, and lo-fi tape textures, brings his tactile, guitar-led warmth, while Vienna's Dorian Concept, a self-taught keyboardist and synth improviser, contributes his fluid, exploratory approach to electronic composition. The result is an instrumental album full of texture that feels less like a debut collaboration and more like a continuation: two distinct voices meeting in a shared language shaped over years of mutual influence.
Mary Bragg - Secrets to Strangers CD/LP (Single Lock)
Every great song is essentially a secret told to a stranger. And when the truth is clear, the stranger recognizes themselves in it. Mary Bragg describes the title Secrets to Strangers as a "zoomed-out representation" of her latest release, a collection of deeply personal stories offered to the outside world. The hooky "Kid Flamingo," the bossa-tinged "I Like It Here," a poetic embrace of life's messiness: all come to life with co-producers Ben Tanner and John Paul White, stretching Americana to include indie rock, pop, early '80s radio vibes, and southern soul. A dream team of players including Chad Gamble (Jason Isbell's 400 Unit), bassist Zac Cockrell (Alabama Shakes), and guitarist/keyboardist Jay Gonzalez (Drive-By Truckers) helped build the album alongside collaborators Maia Sharp, Mindy Smith, and John Paul White.
Car Seat Headrest - Teen of Denial: Joe's Story CD/2xLP (Matador Records)
Car Seat Headrest's Will Toledo re-imagines the band's breakout on Teen of Denial: Joe's Story. On the original record, Toledo used the name "Joe" as a stand-in for himself. Revisiting Teens in the run-up to its 10th year, he felt compelled to give Joe a backstory and began tweaking the album to tell that tale. "The resulting work feels more like the album Teens of Denial was meant to be," Will Toledo writes in a new message to fans. "When you're writing from a dark space, it's hard to have perspective on where you're at. This time, I could pull from memories of that darkness, and use the distance and additional perspective of ten years of life to shed a fuller light on the experience."
Rachel Chinouriri - I Think I Spoke Too Soon LP (Parlophone)
The second studio album from the English singer-songwriter, featuring collaborations with Lucy Dacus and Mary Weitz. [Indie exclusive clear blue vinyl pressing.]
Steve Cropper & The Midnight Hour - Watching the Tide LP (Provogue)
Recently released on CD, now available on vinyl. To anyone who knows the roots and branches of American music, the passing of Steve Cropper in December 2025 was seismic. As guitarist, songwriter, producer and engineer - not just for the iconic Stax record label but on a forest of sessions and solo releases - the Tennessee soul man was the DNA that coursed through the post-war era. Little did we know this towering figure had one last ace to play in his lifetime, with Watching The Tide gathering A-list names including Eric Clapton, Brian May, Ronnie Wood and Billy Gibbons for 12 brand-new songs that Cropper ranked amongst the best of his career.
Dummy - do you love the color of the sky? CD/LP (Polyvinyl)
On Dummy's new album, the Los Angeles-based 5-piece deliver a breathtaking piece of work that introduces new textures and rhythms to their already varied and refined catalog. For the band's third album, the group focused on intentionality and experimentation, exploring downtempo dance beats and electronic music while pushing the guitar as far as they could, using new self-sampling and processing techniques. Percussionist Alex Ewell's overall sound design and production skills can be heard across the album, with layered drum sounds and rhythmic tremolo techniques shining throughout. Tracks like "Full Spectrum Dominance" and "Alluvial Fan" showcase the band's tasteful pop sensibilities, while closing track "Heaven's What You Make Of It" features perhaps the strongest vocal delivery yet from vocalist/keyboardist Emma Maatman. [Yellow vinyl pressing.]
Steve Earle / Los Lobos - Volver a Celaya / City of Immigrants 7" (New West Records)
Steve Earle teams up with Los Lobos for a special 7" that bridges borders and generations. Side A finds Earle and Los Lobos on "Volver a Celaya," a fiery reimagining of the classic Mexican folk song, produced by Steve Berlin. Side B pairs Earle with Brooklyn's Forro in the Dark for "City of Immigrants," the beloved anthem from his acclaimed album Washington Square Serenade.
Eels - Cookie Happened CD/2xLP (Play It Again Sam)
Critically acclaimed rock group Eels present their 16th studio album, Cookie Happened. It follows 2024's critically acclaimed Eels TIME!, which saw Eels continuing their remarkable late-career run with a collection of songs that balanced reflection, humor, and hard-won optimism. With its latest offering, Eels once again demonstrate that few artists are better at finding meaning in life's messiest moments. Speaking about the album title, E (Mark Oliver Everett) says: "All of this will be forgotten. Every joy, accomplishment and hardship will one day become so irrelevant it will be as if none of it occurred. But as the great philosopher of our times, Cookie Monster once said: 'Me no cry because cookie is finished. Me smile because cookie happened.' This will all be forgotten. But isn't it still a beautiful thing that it happened?" [Indie exclusive green vinyl pressing.]
Fontaines D.C. - Dopamine Chamber CD/LP (XL Recordings)
The fifth album from the Irish post-punk/alternative rock band, produced by James Ford. Dopamine Chamber arrives like a constellation behind undulating sighs of smog: potent balladry, anthemic melodies glinting through the murk. In a world tipping towards collapse, it asks how pleasure mutates amid peril-and what our pursuit of it reveals about us. It's the sound of a band moving decisively away from the guitar language of their early records into something colder, stranger and more synthetic. [Indie exclusive blue vinyl pressing.]
Morgan Freeman - Morgan Freeman's Symphonic Blues Experience LP (Decca)
Acclaimed actor Morgan Freeman joins Chineke! Orchestra and conductor Martin Gellner for a musical journey through the history and influence of the blues, blending narration with powerful orchestral performances.
Holy Tongue - Basilikum LP (AD93)
Holy Tongue are a trio composed of Valentina Magaletti, Susumu Mukai, and Al Wootton. Accomplished musicians in their own right, they create expansive rhythmic music that moves freely through dub, trance, post-punk, free improvisation and cinematic psychedelia. For their latest album, the trio recorded a series of improvisations in the Swiss Alps and London. Built on the foundation of vintage drum machines and instinctive interplay they created compositions where no stylistic borders apply. The record melts and the musicians’ instruments synergise, with a rawness added with featured vocals from collaborator and experimental vocalist Dali de Saint Paul on two tracks.
Insomnium - Netherworlds CD (Century Media)
Finnish melodic death metal masters Insomnium expand their atmospheric sound with Netherworlds, a release steeped in melancholy, cinematic arrangements, and the band's signature combination of crushing heaviness and emotional depth.
Larry June - Who Coppin' CD/2xLP (The Freeminded Recs)
Larry June has built a career on making hard work look effortless, and his album Who Coppin' stands as a masterclass in smooth, lifestyle-driven West Coast hip-hop. The album delivers a high-grade mix of Bay Area luxury, entrepreneurial motivation, and unbothered charismatic flows. Spanning a laid-back audio palette designed for early-morning juice runs and late-night freeway cruises alike, Uncle Larry balances the discipline of a hustle-first mindset with warm, sun-drenched production anchored by crisp organic instrumentation and heavy-knocking bass. [Indie exclusive orange splatter vinyl pressing.]
Marla Kether - Luso LP (Strut Records)
Afro-Latin electronic producer, global-sounds inspired DJ, and bassist for Little Simz, Marla Kether returns with her highly-anticipated second EP Luso. Written and produced across Brasilia and Lisbon, Luso weaves together Brazilian musical traditions, Broken Beat, Afro-Portuguese Batida, Afrobeat and jazz-inflected club music. Features contributions from Sofia Grant, Mez, Reek0 and Margaridas.
Kill Alters - We Can Rot Together CD (Hausu Mountain)
Kill Alters is the genre-obliterating project of Bonnie Baxter and her collaborators, returns to Hausu Mountain with We Can Rot Together. In its most recent configuration, the project has shifted to focus on Baxter as the sole composer, producer, and lead vocalist sculpting a thrilling program of her most direct and dance floor ready bangers as she channels energy from various flavors of 90s-to-Y2K-era rave music. The album throbs with four-on-the-floor kick patterns and jittering saw wave synth lines, squelching acid basslines and synthetic orchestral stabs. As Baxter peppers her lyrics with quotes from 90s dance-pop hits alongside her own surreal wordplay, the feeling of eras colliding and time folding onto itself thickens, as if We Can Rot Together were an unmarked cassette you found in an alley whose provenance you can't quite pin down.
Madonna & Kylie Minogue - Love Sensation 7" (Warner)
A remix of the standout track from Madonna's 2026 album Confessions II featuring Australian singer Kylie Minogue. [Clear vinyl pressing.]
Wyatt McCubbin - 650 CD/LP (MCA)
Wyatt McCubbin is a Nashville-based country singer, songwriter, and recording artist whose music is rooted in the timeless songs and stories that first drew him to country music as a kid in southwestern Ohio. After spending years as a songwriter in Music City, McCubbin has written songs recorded by Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Riley Green, Jon Pardi, and Zach Top, including Zach Top’s breakthrough hit “Sounds Like The Radio.” Now stepping into the spotlight as an artist, McCubbin follows in the tradition of songwriter/artists like Don Williams and Kris Kristofferson, bringing a distinctly personal, down-to-earth perspective to modern country music. [Yellow vinyl pressing.]
June McDoom - Follow the Light CD/LP (Jagjaguwar)
Debut album from the Jamaican-American artist. Made slowly and by hand with her longtime partner Evan Wright, Follow the Light lays the harmony of folk over the rhythm of dub, with Dionne Warwick, Minnie Riperton, Pentangle and the washed guitars of Cocteau Twins haunting its outer edges. Voice and guitar seeking each other out first, then everything else stacked across long days in the studio they keep at home, restraint kept on purpose. Lead single "Without You" is the whole method surfacing, split open and sparkling like a geode in a creek bed. Angelic heroics, and nothing less. [Clear pink vinyl pressing.]
Pardoner - Target Practice LP (Bar/None)
Ripping guitars, pummeling drums, and catchy-yet thoughtful lyrics. These are the tools Pardoner have used for over a decade to chisel their "slacker" tunes. On their 5th LP, Target Practice, they continue to refine their approach in search of a Heavenly Pop Hit™. Sensing a cultural slide back into math-rock and prog, this is their most straight ahead record yet. 10 concise songs, tinged with playful meanness and satire, remain. Flying Nun, Smudge, and the noisier side of Yo La Tengo are all spiritually present.
Charlie Parr - Rooming House CD/LP (Smithsonian Folkways)
"These folks here, in this record, have no idea what's wrong. Or how to help. They are sick with the longing to make everything better. And they can't. Tiny things are important. This house could be anywhere. These things could happen to anyone." With this reflection, Charlie Parr introduces the characters of Rooming House, a conceptual folk opera that chronicles the lives of Upper Midwesterners through his quietly raucous, deeply rooted, and empathetic blues. These are songs of lost memories and hardship, but also of the improvised acts of kindness that help neighbors make do.
Trey Pendley - Signs of Life LP (Leo33)
Hailing from the small town of Toad Suck, Arkansas, Trey Pendley's music blends elements of country, folk, and Americana, shaped by a childhood surrounded by nature, cassette tapes, and a deep love of storytelling. Drawing inspiration from legends like Merle Haggard and George Jones to the grit of Motley Crüe, Trey’s songs explore themes of identity, family, fatherhood, and healing with raw vulnerability and honesty.
Porch Light - Hush LP (Mom + Pop)
Debut album from the indie rock band out of Minneapolis. Their music carries the emotional clarity of confessional writing, delivered through arrangements built for open air; guitars that swell and fracture, rhythms that push forward with quiet urgency, and vocals that can ground you or release you.
Sadurn - The Underworld CD/LP (Run for Cover)
Sadurn's sophomore album The Underworld is a collection of heartrendingly personal and instantly relatable songs. Following years of lingering vocal issues for guitarist G DeGroot, the album is the culmination of an emotional and spiritual journey and a a deeply personal meditation on loss, healing, and transformation. [Clear royal blue vinyl pressing.]
Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith - Ruin: It's Not Just Music LP (Someone Special)
Across the past decade, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith has established herself as a unique voice in experimental electronic music, a composer and synthesist whose work dissolves the boundaries between ambient electronica, contemporary classical, composition, and immersive sound design. Where much of KAS's earlier work explored harmonic environments, her lastest album was inspired by the sound of drum and bass. Breakbeats fracture through dense fields of synthesis, percussive patterns and her signature melodic fragments -- motions that feel closer to the kinetic language of club music than the meditative spaces often associated with her past catalogue. The result is a body of work that feels both recognizably hers and newly charged, music that moves through the body as insistently as it engages the mind.
Superfan - My Piledriver Heart LP (AD93)
Superfan is the songwriting veil of Kali Priya Flanagan, the Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist and producer. While initially imagined as a solo act, ambitious string arrangements crafted in collaboration with cellist Omeed Almassi have come to define Superfan’s noisy and magnetic pop soundscape. My Piledriver Heart marks the first release outside of the record deal Flanagan signed at age 14. The album finds Flanagan embracing a more expansive, experimental vision of indie rock - melding deeply tuned acoustic guitar, cello, and Eastern musical influences into what he calls his “Acousticello” sound.
Ella Thompson - Triumph and Sadness CD/LP (Mr Bongo)
Australian vocalist Ella Thompson presents a powerful and unique new album inspired by a classic sweet soul sound and rooted in the contemporary moment. Recorded over four days at an all-analogue studio in the stunning natural surroundings of rural Victoria (with additional sessions for horns vocals and overdubs at Sound Park in Northcote), Triumph & Sadness was cut direct-to-tape with all the urgency and warmth of the iconic ‘60s and ‘70s sessions that first inspired her. Written alongside Liam McGorry (Temporary Blessings), featuring collaborators from bands Surprise Chef and Karate Boogaloo and mixed by Daptone and The Womack Sisters collaborator Wayne Gordon, it captures the live energy of a band at the top of their game. [Indie exclusive yellow vinyl pressing.]
Richard Thompson - Hippies, Thugs and Heroes CD (New West Records)
Sixty years into a career that began with Fairport Convention and has spanned decades as one of rock's most acclaimed singer-songwriters, Richard Thompson is still chasing surprise. On Hippies, Thugs and Heroes, he let's his subconscious take the wheel, pulling from a cast of old friends, false gurus, former selves, and invented characters who insisted on having their stories told. What emerges is a spiritual inquiry disguised as a rock record - a meditation on the towers we build and the ruin that follows when we invest in them too completely. [Vinyl edition due out 10/30.]
Andrew Toombs - Alloy CD/LP (Shifting Paradigm)
After more than two decades as a sought-after sideman and collaborator, pianist and composer Andrew Toombs releases his long-awaited debut as a leader with Alloy. Blending jazz, soul, and hip-hop influences, the album features Makaya McCraven on drums, Junius Paul on bass, guest trumpeters Marquis Hill and Maurice Brown, and spoken word by J. Ivy. What emerges on Alloy is not a debut so much as a declaration: the sound of an artist stepping fully into himself.
Two Shell - Infinite Now CD/LP (Young)
Following their acclaimed 2024 debut, UK electronic duo Two Shell return with Infinite Now, a reminder of the fundamental power of dance music, the sugar-rush of abandon that comes when you lose yourself to it all and remain in the moment. It's a celebration of the basic reason that dance music exists: instead of asking listeners to understand what's happening and make sense of it, Infinite Now asks them to hold on and feel it. It's still layered, there's still complexity to the production but it's just not that deep. The vaporized vocalists you hear across Infinite Now are unnamed and sound like they've beamed down from another dimension - ghosts in the machine.
Rick Wakeman - Return to the Red Planet CD+Blu-Ray/2xLP (Madfish Records)
Following his acclaimed 2020 album The Red Planet, Rick Wakeman makes a triumphant and inevitable return to Mars with Return To The Red Planet, a sweeping new progressive work that fuses science, imagination and musical virtuosity into one of the most ambitious recordings of his career. At a time when space exploration has moved back to the forefront of human endeavor - with missions to the Moon, Mars and beyond once again capturing the world's imagination - Return To The Red Planet feels both timely and visionary, rekindling the cosmic spirit that helped define progressive rock's golden age. [Clear vinyl pressing.]

Deakin - Sleep Cycle LP (Domino)
Originally released in April 2016, Sleep Cycle is Animal Collective member Deakin's seminal debut solo album. 'Sleep Cycle is about the cycles that we go through being shut down by fear and doubt and how to return back to being awake to life. The songs were written as a form of self-medication, meditations on waking up in the face of fear.' - Deakin [Purple vinyl pressing.]
Lou Donaldson - Sunny Side Up LP (Blue Note)
Alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson quickly became a fixture on the Blue Note scene after appearing as a sideman with Thelonious Monk and Milt Jackson in 1952. He also began leading his own dates that year and had notched a dozen leader sessions by the time 1960 arrived and Donaldson was back at Van Gelder Studio recording his excellent album Sunny Side Up. In many ways a quintessential Blue Note hard bop outing, the set was a winsome program of swinging standards and bluesy originals given deeply felt performances by a quintet with trumpeter Bill Hardman, pianist Horace Parlan, bassists Sam Jones and Laymon Jackson, and drummer Al Harewood.
Dr. Feelgood - Down by the Jetty LP (Rhino)
Before punk had a name, Dr. Feelgood were playing Canvey Island pubs like the building owed them money. Down by the Jetty, their 1975 debut, is stripped to the bone: Wilko Johnson's choppy, pick-free guitar, Lee Brilleaux's snarl, and rhythm and blues played at a speed that made everything around it sound overdressed. Remastered stereo mix.

This limited edition Dinked variant is pressed on purple vinyl LP and includes a bonus mint colored vinyl 12” including 3 extra songs, plus the album is housed in an alternate album jacket. Oklahoma Toad (1970), co-produced by David Rosner and Margo Guryan for CTI Records, was Dave Frishberg's debut as a singer and the record that launched his celebrated career as a pianist-singer-songwriter. Long known as one of the finest pianists in jazz, Frishberg here sang his own songs on record for the first time. This reissue marks the first time on vinyl for the artist-approved producer's mix, presenting all ten original tracks. A bonus 7" single adds Frishberg's version of his oft-recorded classic "Peel Me a Grape" on Side A and a previously unheard Schoolhouse Rock outtake, "A World Without Verbs," on Side B. [Green vinyl pressing.]
Gong - Angel's Egg CD (BYG)
The second chapter in Gong's legendary Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy, Angel's Egg takes the story deeper into the surreal, otherworldly universe first introduced on Flying Teapot. Originally released in 1973, the album follows the continuing adventures of Zero the Hero and the Pot Head Pixies, expanding Daevid Allen's visionary mythology into an even more ambitious world of flying teapots, cosmic transmissions, spiritual awakening, and playful rebellion. Musically, Angel's Egg pushes Gong's unique fusion of psychedelic rock, progressive experimentation, jazz improvisation, and anarchic humour into new territory.
Various Artists - Habibi Funk 035: Beirut City Pop LP (Habibi Funk)
Beirut City Pop brings together ten recordings from Lebanon's private press cassette scene of the late 1970s and 1980s. Created by short-lived bands and studio projects, these songs move between disco, pop, soul, jazz, bossa, rock and AOR. Produced during the Lebanese civil war, many were copied at home and circulated only among friends and local communities, with some surviving solely on hand-copied tapes. Many of the musicians were connected through Ziad Rahbani's Bypass Studio, collaborating across projects and sharing a common musical language. Inspired by the blend of genres found in Japanese city pop, the title reflects both the sound and spirit of these recordings.
Heavens to Betsy - Baby's Gone CD/LP (Kill Rock Stars)
More than three decades after they founded Heavens to Betsy, Corin Tucker and Tracy Sawyer still have something important to say. Just as riot grrrl punk rock and feminism pushed for inclusivity, bodily autonomy, and gender equality in the early-to-mid '90s, there is arguably an even greater need for the scene to rematerialize in an age where women's voting rights and healthcare access are under siege, as is the safety of any marginalized community. Now, the longtime friends and musicians have answered the call by reuniting as Heavens to Betsy, the DIY punk project they famously founded back in the riot grrrl halcyon days, among like-minded Olympia artists in Bikini Kill, Team Dresch, and Bratmobile. In celebration of their reunion, Corin (Sleater-Kinney) and Tracy (The Husbands, The Flying Tigers, The Lies) release their first project since 1994: baby's gone, a 16-track mission statement comprising a never-before-heard demo tape originally recorded by Bratmobile's Molly Neuman (who also provides liner notes for the forthcoming release), plus the 1993 These Monsters Are Real and the 1994 Direction 7" recordings. [Tangerine color vinyl pressing.]
Heavens to Betsy - Calculated LP (Kill Rock Stars)
The lone studio album from the riot grrrl band made up of Corin Tucker (Sleater-Kinney) and Tracy Sawyer (The Husbands, The Flying Tigers). [Lake Louise color vinyl pressing.]

Horse Jumper of Love - Horse Jumper of Love (10 Year Anniversary Edition) 2xCD (Run for Cover)
Ten years ago, Horse Jumper of Love released their self-titled debut, one that not only launched their career but also inspired a generation of shoegaze artists to come. Recorded in a mill space studio by future longtime collaborator Bradford Krieger and first released in 2016 (before a re-issue by Run For Cover in 2017), Horse Jumper of Love introduced listeners to the band’s unique strain of expertly crafted minimalism and haunting lyricism. Tracks like “Orange Peeler” and “Ugly Brunette” capture a gritty melancholy and existentialism that is both youthful and timeless, angst-ridden and sincere. This 10 Year Anniversary Deluxe Edition contains the original album remastered, alongside a disc featuring 13 bonus tracks recorded between the years of 2013-2015, mostly by Dimitri at home on a Tascam Portastudio.
Grace Ives - 2nd LP (Dots Per Inch)
2019 debut album from the bedroom synth pop artist. Grace Ives' melodic ideas simply do not leave her alone. She is always singing. Much of her work stems from simple and relatable nuggets of experience. It is almost as if putting her thoughts to a melody are a way of processing the world as she sees it unfold around her. These humble origins of her ridiculously catchy songs are, she says, result of a 'keep it simple, stupid' approach, one that she pulls off with the fire-y confidence of artists such as Bratmobile or Minutemen. [Yellow vinyl pressing.]
Jpegmafia - I Lay Down My Life for You LP (Peggy)
Indie exclusive graphite color vinyl pressing of the 2024 album from the experimental hip-hop artist.

[Green vinyl pressing.]
London Music Works - Beneath Painted Skies: Music From the Studio Ghibli Movies 2xLP (Diggers Factory)
Beneath Painted Skies is a symphonic reinterpretation of titles from Studio Ghibli, bringing together a sweeping collection of themes and cues associated with the studio's beloved films, from the windswept wonder of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and the airborne adventure of Castle in the Sky, to the delicate nostalgia of Only Yesterday, the emotional grandeur of Princess Mononoke, and the dreamlike beauty of Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Across the collection, London Music Works and Nick Squires bring a rich, cinematic sensitivity to these much-loved works, capturing the sense of flight, memory, childhood, loss, wonder, and magic that has made this music resonate across generations. Manchester Orchestra - You Brainstorm, I Brainstorm, but Brilliance Needs a Good Editor LP (Favorite Gentlemen)
Recorded without a label, outside expectations or even a surplus of material, this 2005 EP found the band embracing spontaneity over perfection and, in the process, establishing the emotional and sonic hallmarks that would become their defining quality. [Baby blue vinyl pressing.]
MC Lars - The Edgar Allan Poe LP CD (Oglio)
MC Lars's concept album blending sharp lyricism, dark humor, and genre-spanning production to reimagine Poe for modern audiences through hip-hop. Tracks draw from "The Cask of Amontillado," "The Black Cat," Arthur Gordon Pym, and more. A gothic true-crime framing device ties it together. This expanded edition pairs fan favorites with 2026 updates featuring Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup, Watt White, and more. (LP is part of the title; this is a CD.)
Freddie McCoy - Spider Man LP (Real Gone Music)
60th anniversary release, first-ever vinyl reissue! A cool jazz/soul jazz classic featuring Freddie with a killer band of Steve Davis on bass, Rudy Lawless on drums, and Charlie Wilson on piano, laying down some tight grooves on such tracks as "Speak Out, Deagan!" and "Hav' Mercy." Adding to the intrigue is the copy on the back cover, which claims that Spider Man was to be the first of a series of Marvel tie-in records. That this album turned out to be the only one leads one to suspect that the deal between Marvel and the Prestige label might have been hastily arranged. At any rate, it's a bona-fide collectible and a lovely listen to boot. All-analog master. [Clear with red & blue "Spidey Swirl" vinyl pressing.]
Jackie McLean - Swing, Swang, Swingin' LP (Blue Note)
By the time Jackie McLean began recording as a leader for Blue Note in 1959, the alto saxophonist had already been a stalwart of the NYC jazz scene for nearly a decade having spent the entirety of the 1950s cutting his teeth alongside bebop legends like Miles Davis and Charles Mingus. Recorded in October of that year, his 2nd Blue Note album Swing, Swang, Swingin’ fully delivered on the album title’s emphatic promise with McLean blowing with gusto through a joyful set in a quartet featuring Walter Bishop Jr. on piano, Jimmy Garrison on bass, and Art Taylor on drums. As the lone horn player, McLean’s distinctive sound shines with his piquant tone and hip harmonic sense igniting impassioned improvisations.

Various Artists - The Return of the Living Dead O.S.T. (Real Gone Music)
There are zombies... and then there are brain-eating zombies! And Return of the Living Dead was the film where brain-eating zombies got their first lease on, er, life. Co-written by John Russo, who was George Romero's writing partner on Night of the Living Dead, this 1985 quasi-sequel introduced more "splatstick" humor to the horror formula as well as the indelible image of ghouls groaning "Braainsss" as they shuffle along. All set to a killer score featuring the greatest punk and death rock bands of the era, including The Cramps, 45 Grave, The Flesh Eaters, The Damned, Roky Erickson, The Jet Black Berries, T.S.O.L. and SSQ. Revolutions Per Minute masterfully balances blistering punk energy with sharp, accessible melodies. Revolutions per Minute profoundly impacted 2000s punk, bridging the gap between raw underground hardcore and mainstream rock & is widely considered a genre masterpiece and the band's definitive underground release. Stepping deeper into the portal opened by the acclaimed 2025 compilation Dream a Dream with Studio G, Nature's World showcases the library music collective's synth-ridden melodies crafted for nature documentaries that zigzag between the grandiose awe of a volcanic explosion, to the psychedelic serenity of a bug resting on a lily pad. Various Artists - Tales From the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight O.S.T. LP (Real Gone Music)
This 1995 film starred William Sadler as the Demon Knight, who, along with his new recruit, Jada Pinkett Smith, is charged with fending off The Collector (Billy Zane) and his army of demons from acquiring an ancient relic that is the only thing preventing the complete destruction of the human race. While the flick did meh at the box office and was panned critically, the soundtrack was easily one of the best of its era and of its kind, an all-star line-up of thrash and heavy metal acts mostly doing otherwise unavailable material (only the track by Pantera appears to have been released prior to the movie). The Pantera, Megadeth, Melvins, and Biohazard entries are particularly good, but perhaps the best tune is "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter, an outfit that hadn't released anything prior to this soundtrack. [Blue and white "Cryptkeeper" splatter vinyl pressing.]
Tears for Fears - Seeds of Love 3xCD/2xLP (Mercury)

The 3CD edition features the original album alongside the essential B-sides, alternate mixes, and rare recordings from the era.

TRSH - String Theory LP (Wax Bodega)
2025 album from the Midwest emo band. TRSH exists in the tension between extremes, a tightrope walk that's volatile and unpredictable yet built on intentional detail. The Springfield, MO-founded quartet's fusion of punk and Midwest emo has cemented them as one of the brightest young acts in the underground. Tracks like the fervent first single "dusty," galloping "drown me in a bathtub" and pained "hyperpop killed my dog" are transparently honest portraits of f***ing up and falling short: bad decisions that felt right at the time, awkward apologies and late-night spirals. [Indie exclusive blue vinyl pressing.]
