It marks the band's first record in ten years since 2016's For All Kings, which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. The phrase Cursum Perficio is Latin for "My journey has come to an end," "My journey is over," or "I complete my journey." It proves apropos for such a complete body of work.

Blood Red Shoes - Stay Lonely CD/LP (V2)
Blood Red Shoes are a raw, intense and unyielding rock duo based in Brighton, comprising guitarist and singer Laura Mary Carter and drummer and singer Steven Ansell. Formed in 2004, over the course of more than twenty years they have developed a distinctive sound that combines raw energy with melodic sharpness. Their seventh studio album was written, recorded, produced and mixed by the duo themselves, without a manager, A&R or external producer. That total control gives the album a direct, unrefined edge: no outside comfort, but also no filters that might soften the core of their sound.
Bonnie "Prince" Billy - Ghosts of American Psychonauts CD/LP (No Quarter)
Recorded in Los Angeles over Valentines Day weekend 2025, in the wake of the horrific fires - Ghosts of American Psychonauts showcases songs from the (at the time) just released album The Purple Bird along with various nuggets from the Bonnie Prince Billy songbook, performed by a stellar band comprised of Emmett Kelly (bass), Ryder McNair (piano), Dv DeVincentis (sax), London May (drums), Thomas Deakin (guitar, clarinet), Patrick Shiroishi (sax) and Jacob Duncan (sax). Aubory Bugg - I Think I Had Something Once LP (Dualtone)

Raised on Bonnie Raitt and Carole King, she found a new blueprint in independent artists like Lizzy McAlpine and Jensen McRae, who were building careers online without compromising their artistry. Now 21, Aubory's debut album captures a pivotal chapter of identity, independence, and leaving home behind. [Olive color vinyl pressing.]
Hannah Cole - Switchbacks LP (Tight Knit)
On her debut album, Nashville-based artist Hannah Cole finds inspiration in the image of the switchbacks - sinuous twists in the road that obscure what's ahead. For a young artist making her way in the music industry, it's a powerful image: we can't really know what's ahead for us but - as Cole has learned - you should honk your horn to tell the world you're coming, and otherwise just enjoy the ride. Melding shoegaze and alternative rock with infectious pop melodies and strains of 90s nostalgia, Switchbacks is a commentary on the pursuit of success and how to protect the pure joy and love that lives at our core. [Violet vinyl pressing.]

Corella - A Beautiful World To Lose CD (Frontiers)
Manchester's Corella has traded its indie-pop playfulness for a "razor-sharp" ferocity on its thunderous second album, A Beautiful World To Lose. The Jason Perry-produced record captures "lightning in a bottle" energy while tackling heavy themes of political discontent and personal grief. The lead single, "Brussels Is Haunted," is emblematic of the band's proud legacy, with a life-affirming chorus worthy of one of post-punk's forefathers. Nearly captured in the wild with just two microphones, the songs on "Songs From The Holler" feel authentic and heartfelt. Jawdropped - Secret to Spare CD/LP (Transgressive)
Jawdropped’s debut album at once feels classic and immediate, with every sunburst guitar hook and sharpened vocal melody hitting the ears like a half-full beer bottle careening towards the brick wall of your favorite dive bar. The Los Angeles quartet have established their sound—a pitch-perfect melange of big-hearted indie rock, the sour-sweet sounds of ‘90s alternative radio, and the shaggy-and-ragged sound of alt-country—in shockingly quick time, making Secret to Spare one of the most fully-realized debut albums in recent memory. Outer World - Home LP (K Records)
Home is an album built from the singular chemistry between Outer World members Kenneth Close (Positive No) and Tracy Wilson (Dahlia Seed, Ringfinger, Positive No), a technicolor love language that layers synthesized sound and samples alongside drums, guitar, bass, keyboards, and voice, blurring the line between modern technology, a shared history, and unified emotional truth. Two years after the release of their album Who Does the Music Love?, Outer World has grown from a duo into a six-member band where Home plays like the soundtrack to an imaginary spy film: high drama and tension ending with tangled bedsheets. There are no walls between genres here, conversations take place between: outernational grooves, Italian western soundtrack composers, Hazlewood's twang guitars, '60s spectropop beat girls, Lagos highlife, contemporary classical choral arrangements, Icelandic avant garde, Bond villains, arty-facts from the first punk era, Eastern philosophy, and Athens GA art school in the '80s - it's all in there, woven into a singular voice.

Told with unflinching honesty, humor, and compassion, Mule finds Peck confronting love, loss, and identity through songs that move fluidly between classic country storytelling, bluegrass, and expansive Americana. [Indie exclusive translucent tan color vinyl pressing.]
Bella Poarch - Picnic at the Cemetery CD (Last Gang)
Bella Poarch's debut album and most personal work to date, a cinematic coming-of-age album about reclaiming memory, rewriting pain, and finding solace in yourself after trauma. Told through surreal fairytale symbolism and Bella's handdrawn characters ("The Bigheads"), the album transforms her difficult childhood into a vivid inner landscape - where the Bigheads guide her through heartbreak, girlhood, and self-repair. OurHome echoes all the transcendence and serenity that Rodrigo y Gabriela have routinely experienced in their journeys to Japan.
Frankie Rose - Hila LP (Born Losers Records)
Frankie Rose has spent fifteen years building one of the most quietly distinctive bodies of work in American independent music. Each record has pushed further into its own atmosphere without abandoning the melodic instincts that anchor all of it. Featuring Justin Welch on drums (Lush, Elastica), Rose's sixth album moves with the deliberate, pressurized quiet of a Michael Mann soundtrack, but filtered through something stranger and more ritualistic - Coil's shadow, Cocteau Twins' density, and the sense of language dissolving into frequency. [Ultra clear & green color-in-color vinyl pressing.]
Emma Ruth Rundle - These Killing Times LP (Errant Child)
Emma Ruth Rundle's These Killing Times is electrifying, emotional and charged with anti-patriarchal feminist rage. The sixth studio album from the multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and multi-disciplinary artist is a reactive anthology, bristling, full of life and full of resistance; it asks us questions of our intentions and of the roles we play in the communities we exist within, and how we choose to counter the chokehold of capitalism. Sleepless nights, moments of horror, and times of anguish could be overlaid atop a timeline of recent socio-political events to map the creation of These Killing Times; the rising power of Christian nationalism, the grotesque circus of political discourse, and related ontological discomfort. But there is also love - as a balm and a tonic, a means of escape. A desire for companionship and connection whilst being confronted by the most violent parts of humanity remains an unresolved tension. [Indie exclusive blue smoke vinyl pressing.]
Slow Pulp - Melodie CD/LP (Anti Records)
With only two albums out, Slow Pulp are one of the defining bands of the generation that grew up on '90s alt rock radio and came of age with the 2000s indie wave. Melodie sees the band exploring beyond their shoegaze roots into new sonic territory with pop-tinged hooks and melodies. [Indie exclusive clear blue vinyl pressing.]
Son Lux - Out Into CD/LP (This Is Meru)
Son Lux returns with Out Into, their first studio album since being nominated for two Oscars and a BAFTA for their work on A24's Everything Everywhere All at Once and scoring Marvel's Thunderbolts. Propulsive, urgent, raw, and vulnerable, the album strives to question assumptions about how music is made and construct their own from a molecular level, cultivating a musical language rooted in curiosity and balancing opposites. Over two decades, the band has released numerous recordings marked by raw emotional intimacy and meticulous electronic constructions.
Standing on the Corner - Standing on the Corner II CD (XL)
Released last week on vinyl; now available on CD. Founded in Brooklyn, Standing on the Corner is a group whose output moves mercurially between composition, performance, film, installation, social work, and sound. Rooted in the cultural exchange between the U.S.A., Puerto Rico, and Africa, the project machinates an intersection between soul, punk, salsa, doowop, jazz, funk, the avant-garde, and rap traditions, filtered through a distinctly New York City sensibility. On SOTC "II" the New York outfit channels their philosophy into a 15-track album recorded by bandleader Gio Escobar and core collaborators Jack "Wacko" Nolan, Buz "Man-man" Donald, and Clérida "Ca$h Clay" Eltimé. The result is a tense, genre-defacing record that exists between fried psychedelia, rock-n-roll, no-wave rap, r&b, and post-hardcore energy; a mirror to a national moment of searching for meaning/nothing/sounds/silence/creation/or destruction, through an overarching instability, alienation, decline, and refusal. Collaborators include: The Warlockettes, Ladybug Mecca, Styles P, Bubba Dupree, Claudette Ortiz, Sonia Sanchez, Solange, and Danny Brown.
Roger Taylor - Violence Insane in a Beautiful World CD/LP (Sony Legacy)
Violence Insane in a Beautiful World is the brand-new studio album from Roger Taylor, legendary Queen songwriter, musician & singer. Violence Insane in a Beautiful World is Roger Taylor's seventh album in a solo career stretching back to 1977 and is his first since 2021's critically and fan-acclaimed top 3 album Outsider. Tove Lo - Estrus CD/LP (Pretty Swede)
Tove Lo's sixth studio album is an emo chic moment, leaning into the contradictions that have long defined her work - euphoria and melancholy, desire and doubt - without trying to resolve them. Balancing visceral, body-moving production with sharply observed writing, the LP captures the full spectrum of feeling in real time across 13 new tracks. Rather than offering answers, Lo stays inside the mess, continuing her core mission: making people feel everything all at once. [Indie exclusive coke bottle clear vinyl pressing.]

Combining down tuned, fuzzed out guitars with two part vocal harmonies, pop melodies and subversive paperback horror lyrics, the band have carved out their own unique sonic world, which continues to evolve. [Indie exclusive purple vinyl pressing.]
Wau Wau Collectif - Teranga LP (Sahel Sounds)
Teranga, the final album in the Wau Wau Collectif trilogy, the dreamy cross-cultural collaboration across cultures, finds the band finally coming together. Taking its name from the Wolof word "teranga" is used to express a welcomeness, a hospitality to others, and something loosely as a shared meeting - an apt title for the album that is an expression of a meeting. The album was composed and performed with a staggering 26 different songwriters and musicians, playing an impressive array of instrumentation, from balfon, ngoni, calabasse, violin, cello, saxophone, and omnicord. At times, dreamy and meditative, but imbued with an organic soul, a wholly unique sound that is both anachronistic and future facing.
Whirr & Luster - Whirr & Luster LP (Free Whirl)
Whirr and Luster have been orbiting each other for years, bound by a shared language of glide guitar, buried vocals, and volume as emotion. A through line that’s only deepened by Nick Bassett’s hand in producing and mixing the majority of Luster’s previously recorded output. The Whirr & Luster Split pairs one of American shoegaze's most storied bands with one of its most vital new voices across four new songs. [Magenta with black splatter color vinyl pressing.]

Chelsea Wolfe - The Dark CD/LP (Loma Vista)
Chelsea Wolfe enters a new era with her forthcoming album The Dark, shaped by a period of letting go, transformation, and confronting inner shadows. Written from a place of becoming "the darkest thing in the woods," it moves through darkness rather than away from it, sharpening her blend of mysticism, memory, grief, and desire into something heavier, more immediate. Produced with Jennifer Decilveo (Hozier, Hinds, Bat for Lashes) and featuring collaborators from Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Tori Amos, and Air. Sharper and heavier than ever, The Dark is where beauty meets ruin.

Five are previously unreleased, and two are unreleased versions ("Casting Me Away From You" and "I Will Love You Forever"). The semi-acoustic album is musically connected to earlier albums in Young's catalog such as "Comes A Time" and "Prairie Wind".

Ben Quad - I'm Scared That's All There Is LP (Wax Bodega)
2022 debut album from the midwest emo group. Ben Quad is a tightly-wound emo outfit with just the right balance of delicate vulnerability, careening guitar-driven energy, and melodic ingenuity. Despite tongue-in-cheek proclamations of being "emo butt-rock," the Oklahoma City-based quartet take their song craft seriously, and the result is a vibrant chemical blend of winning sensitivity, a charming dash of goofiness, and propulsively hooky, cleverly-written gems. On June 29th, 2023, Jeremiah Chiu walked into the Vintage Synthesizer Museum (VSM) in Highland Park, Los Angeles, with no plan more specific than "let's fire this stuff up and see what happens." Exploring the VSM's vast collection of classic, rare and staple synthesizers, he would sequence, trigger, and layer the machines together with help from VSM founder/curator Lance Hill. The resulting collection is an intuitive expression of organic electronic music conceptualized and created in-context by Chiu alone, as he calls on a lifetime of work in sound synthesis to paint a fulgent, refreshingly undercut sequence of cinematic sketches and in-process themes.

Dazzling Killmen - Face of Collapse LP (Skin Graft)
Was Dazzling Killmen a hardcore band? A metal band? The world's gnarliest progressive-rock quartet? "Yes" is the easy answer, but only because it's easy to rewind through two decades of genre fragmentation to hear Dazzling Killmen's influence on any number of "math-metal," "prog-core" and similarly classified bands. At the time, however, this St. Louis quartet occupied a genre of one. When SKiN GRAFT released the Killmen's 1994 sophomore album, "Face of Collapse", that genre had its touchstone. The end result brings several distinct musical moments, recorded sometimes decades apart, into conversation with one another, forming new narratives from building blocks of old ones. There are snippets of improvised playing from each musician, edited together with recordings that Kalma had made in the 70s at GRM, and even moments of audio notes - like Kalma explaining his ideas - that would make it into the mixes. Telefon Tel Aviv - Fahrenheit Fair Enough 2xLP (Ghostly Int'l)
Living in New Orleans in the late 1990s, Joshua Eustis and Charles Cooper were in the thrall of two musical orbits: American staples (New Orleans' bounce, Detroit's techno, Chicago's house) and British electronica, e.g. Autechre, Aphex Twin, and Jega. Recorded over the course of a year in Eustis' childhood bedroom in the Riverbend neighborhood of New Orleans, their debut album Fahrenheit Fair Enough mapped out a potential for American electronic music in a time of hope. The tracks were meant to be "constantly evolving sculptures." Fascinated by IDM, the pair sought to inject "some swagger into it, loosen it up a little but also make it hyper romantic." Joshua Eustis and the late Charlie Cooper created a classic that sits at the edges of IDM, experimental, and bass music, influencing a new generation of artists (Loraine James, Kelly Moran, etc.). Way Dynamic - Massive Shoe CD/LP (Jagjaguwar)

Massive Shoe is minimalist folk-pop, art rock and baroque pop, produced and largely played by Young, who moonlights in Melbourne's beloved Cool Sounds and Good Morning and has played drums with Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra. It's tempting to only compare these songs to those of yesteryear - Young's falsetto, his ear for harmonies and the intricate arrangements all feel timeless. But there's a sensibility, a turn of phrase, that feels deeply contemporary: it's telling that Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield described "Miffed It" as her "favourite song in a VERY long time", and Katie, MJ Lenderman, This is Lorelei and Black Country New Road have all taken Way Dynamic on tour, while Sir Elton John said that he "just cannot stop listening" to "Ibiza".
