Hitting The Racks

Here's your weekly rundown of what's hitting the new release racks at Grimey's

New Releases

The Beaches - No Hard Feelings LP (Beaches Touring)

The Beaches have spend the past decade building something unstoppable. Their third album 'No Hard Feelings' finds the band blaming themselves (rather than their exes), embracing their partying ways and accepting the occasional semi-self destructive thoughts and actions. The LP includes the last-call anthem "Last Girls At The Party", fan favorite "Jocelyn" and self-reflective "Takes One to Know One."

The Beths - Straight Line Was A Lie CD/LP (Anti-)

New Zealand indie rock heroes The Beths latest album Straight Line Was A Lie is a catchy, instant classic out on August 29th. Written in Los Angeles and self-recorded in the band's hometown of Auckland, Straight Line Was A Lie (their first release for ANTI-) follows 2022's critically celebrated LP Expert in A Dying Field. Lead singer and songwriter Liz Stokes delves deeper into her psyche to address everything from roundabout progress to physical and mental health challenges, and fraught family dynamics. Inspired by The Go-Go's, Olivia Rodrigo, filmmaker Akira Kurosawa, and Stephen King's On Writing, amongst others, Stokes' songwriting has achieved startling new depths of insight and vulnerability. Fans will agree that Straight Line Was A Lie is the most sharply observant, truthful, and poetic Beths project to date. "One of the greatest indie-rock bands of their time." - Rolling Stone [Indie exclusive sky blue marble vinyl.]

Blood Orange - Essex Honey 2xLP (RCA)

Essex Honey explores themes of family grief, England, and the healing, communal power of music throughout a lifetime. Lyrically, the album is diaristic yet communal, existing in the haze of memory that often follows a loss. Musically, this is reflected sonically through analog recordings, recurring cello motifs, nods to earlier Blood Orange projects, and various musical interpolations from Hynes' youth. Sonically, the album includes an array of arrangements and instruments like the acoustic guitar with a punk distortion and melodic ethereal tones that were woven into his dreams as a kid growing up in Essex, imagining his future. Essex Honey features contributions from The Durutti Column, Mustafa, Caroline Polachek, Daniel Caesar, Lorde, Zadie Smith, Tirzah, Brendan Yates (Turnstile), and Mabe Fratti. [Double LP pressed at 45rpm.]

Sabrina Carpenter - Man’s Best Friend CD/LP (Island)

Man's Best Friend is the latest album from multi-hyphenate global popstar Sabrina Carpenter. Coming off her GRAMMY-winning project, Short n' Sweet, and numerous multi-platinum singles added to her resume, the latest from Carpenter is bursting with high energy pop and criss-crossing genres in only a way that she can. [Available in standard and indie exclusive variants.]

Marshall Crenshaw - From the Hellhole LP (Yep Roc)

From The Hellhole is the latest studio album from Marshall Crenshaw, and his first studio album since 2009's Jaggedland. It is a collection of studio tracks that Marshall mostly recorded between 2012 and 2014, although one of the recordings, "Walkin' Around," was recorded in 1990, and another, "Couldn't I Just Tell You," was recorded in 2020. All songs were remixed and remastered for this album. The album contains three previously unreleased songs. 3-sided LP is pressed on Sunburst Splash vinyl and is limited to 750 copies worldwide.

Rodney Crowell - Airline Highway CD/LP (New West)

Full of deep empathy, sober insights, and lively guitar licks, Rodney Crowell's new album takes its title from a seemingly mundane stretch of four-lane blacktop that runs deep into Louisiana. It's the road he and producer Tyler Bryant drove to reach the remote studio where they recorded these songs, hauling a truckload of gear on a two-day journey that ended in swamps. Along the way Crowell looked up the route they were driving: Airline Highway. It's the southernmost segment of Highway 61, also called the Blues Highway or the Great River Road, and it follows the Mississippi River from Minnesota down to New Orleans. Crowell is intimately familiar with this part of the country. He grew up on the east side of Houston, just a few hours west of the state line, and made wild forays into Louisiana as a young man to drink or carouse or mostly to catch live music. Airline Highway is an album full of old, abiding loves, whether it's a favorite song or a lover you remember fondly. Songs like "Sometime Thang" and "Rainy Days in California" (the latter featuring Lukas Nelson) raise a glass to old romances and encounters with different women in California or down in Louisiana: falling in love, toughing out hard times, growing apart until they become "that small voice on your phone," to quote a devastating line on "Taking Flight," co-written with and featuring Ashley McBryde. Some are fictional, Crowell explains, but they all contain some kernel of truth. "At a basic level there are a lot more years behind me than there are ahead of me. Now it's just about the work and what a blessing it is to be able to do it. The work truly feeds me in the moment."

dim star - Slipstream 12” (Liliput Records)

Slipstream is the debut 12” single from four-time grammy nominated production and writing duo, dim star, out August 29, 2025, featuring billy woods and Anais Mitchell. dim star emerged in 2023 after co-writing and producing Allison Russell’s Grammy-winning The Returner. On their self-produced first release, they lean into mystery and melancholy, blending synths, drum machines, and ghostly harmonies in a dreamlike mosaic for the eclectic pairing of the acclaimed emcee (woods) and the alt-folk queen (Mitchell).

Coyle Girelli - Out of This Town CD/LP (Sun Records)

Produced and performed by Coyle Girelli, Out of This Town is a tribute album featuring unreleased songs by the late Grammy Award-winning songwriter Mac Davis. Before Davis' passing in 2020, the two artists began with a collection of Mac's handwritten lyrics on yellow legal pads. Davis equated Coyle's powerful voice to Roy Orbison and declared him the only one fit to sing these songs. The album features duets with Davis, KT Tunstall, Cassandra Lewis, and Jaime Wyatt.

Guedra Guedra - Mutant CD/LP (Smuggler’s Way)

On his second album MUTANT, Moroccan producer Guedra Guedra sculpts irresistible rhythms and sounds from his analogue synths and drum machines, blending them with percussive fragments, field recordings from Morocco, Tanzania, Guinea and more, gathered while travelling across the vast landmass. MUTANT explores themes of identity, Pan-Africanism, Afrofuturism, and decolonization, bridging the musical heritage of the continent with elements of techno, bass music and dub. [Limited edition white bio vinyl.]

The Hives - The Hives Forever, Forever The Hives LP (Play It Again Sam)

The Hives Forever, Forever The Hives is the bands 7th studio LP, a razor-sharp culmination of their rupturing, signature powder-keg (The New York Times) rock n roll energy that initially captured the zeitgeist during the garage rock revival in the early 2000s. The Hives continue to reach sky-high on the new album, with the majority of it recorded in one take at Yung Lean/YEAR0001s studio and riksmixningsverket a studio owned by Benny Andersson of ABBA in Stockholm. The record was produced by their longtime collaborator Pelle Gunnerfeldt (Viagra Boys, Yung Lean, Elvira) as well as the bands old tourmate Mike D of the Beastie Boys, who flew out to Sweden specifically to work on the album and hosted the band at his studio in Malibu. Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age consulted on the record, too. [Indie exclusive gold vinyl with signed insert.]

Eiko Ishibashi & Jim O'Rourke - Pareidolia LP (Drag City)

For this collaborative release, Eiko & Jim edited and remixed material captured at shows they played during a lovely two week tour through France, Switzerland, Italy and Ireland in April 2023. Pareidolia shapes an ideal collage from the best resonances and relationships from those nights. A dynamic medley of color and shape to pulse through earbuds, speaker cones and the air around you, appealing to your suggestibility, wherever you find it.

Barney Keen - Harbinger LP (Touching Bass)

Multi-instrumentalist producer and songwriter Barney Keen makes music for the long drive and nature's embrace; influenced by a dynamic range of styles including Brazilian MPB (having spent time in northwest Brazil, stayed with the great Milton Nascimento, learned Portuguese and written songs on classical guitar), experimental electronic music, folk and soul. Harbinger -- his 10-track debut album -- is a cinematic journey exploring imagination, revelations of the day-to-day and life itself; landing via London's Touching Bass.

Lathe of Heaven - Aurora CD/LP (Sacred Bones)

Lathe of Heaven return with their second full-length album Aurora, a bold expansion of their sonic and thematic palette that unfolds like a series of vivid, emotional vignettes. Aurora is an iteration of Lathe of Heaven's sound previously unexplored, one that offers a delicate balance of their punk roots with captivating new-wave and 80s post-punk aesthetics, incorporating influences from mid 80s British and Finnish post-punk, combined with subtle nuances from 90s and contemporary underground pop. Recorded with Ben Greenberg at Circular Ruin and mastered by Brad Boatright, the album sonically is inspired by The Cure's melodic rock, Musta Paraati's gothic post-punk synth and intense drumming, and A Flock of Seagulls' art pop vocals and guitar riffs. Envisioned as a collection of sci-fi short stories, it is deeply influenced and lyrically driven by themes of anti-colonialism, diversity, and equality. These stories are inspired by Ursula K. le Guin, Octavia Butler, Greg Egan, and Peter Watts' novels, leading listeners to mythical, bold, and somewhat unnerving realities. [Limited edition Hyperion blue vinyl.]

Valentina Magaletti & YPY - Kansai Bruises LP (AD 93)

Drummer, percussionist and composer Valentina Magaletti (Moin, Holy Tongue, Vanishing Twin) has combined forces with musician, producer and composer YPY (aka Koshiro Hino of Goat) for their LP, Kansai Bruises, out via AD 93. The pair crash through Osaka's neonlit streets with abrasive drums and handcrafted Japanese electronics that hit like pavement against skin. This is bliss carved from bruises -- hope and fear tangled in metallic percussion while dreams of pesto float through sake-soaked alleyways.

Mayurashka - LSI Dreaming 12" (Rhythm Section International)

The Japanese sensation Mayurashka arrives on Rhythm Section International. Known for her delicate, subtly psychedelic approach to production -- all subtlety is thrown out of the window on the opener, "Parents and God." It slams, jerking in and out of tempo like Ron Hardy in beast mode. Out of nowhere a soulful church organ arrives -- at first for a brief respite -- but then for an extended solo, which gives way to an '80s electro style breakdown before reverting back to form. It shouldn't work, but somehow it does -- to a dizzying extent -- and heirin lies Mayurashka's magic: a blatant disregard for norms and a deft touch that makes the unorthodox so compelling. "Notango" takes another big left turn -- sitting somewhere between tribal seance and rain dance, it's mostly organic drums and otherworldly sound effects that combine to drag us deeper into the wormhole before "Cat Murmur" takes listeners back into the light with its uptempo disco energy and giving way to heavy chugging bass.

Brad Mehldau - Ride Into the Sun CD/2xLP (Nonesuch)

Nonesuch Records releases pianist and composer Brad Mehldau's Ride into the Sun - a songbook record of music by the late singer, songwriter, and guitarist Elliott Smith. Featured musicians include singer/guitarist Daniel Rossen (Grizzly Bear); singer/mandolinist Chris Thile (Punch Brothers, NickelCreek); bassists Felix Moseholm (Brad Mehldau Trio) and John Davis; drummer Matt Chamberlain (FionaApple, Tori Amos, Randy Newman, etc.); and a chamber orchestra led by Dan Coleman. Ride into the Sun's ten Elliott Smith songs are complemented by four Mehldau compositions that he says are "inspired by, and reflect, Smith's oeuvre." Also included are interpretations of Big Star's "Thirteen," which Smith also covered, and "Sunday" by Nick Drake, who Mehldau says, "I look at in some ways as sort of Smith's visionary godfather."

Tift Merritt - Time and Patience CD/LP (One Riot Records)

Tift Merritt has long been a torchbearer in Americana. To mark the 20th anniversary of her Grammy-nominated album Tambourine, Merritt returns with Time and Patience - a companion piece of intimate re-recordings and new songs from Merritt's Tambourine era. Several of the recordings strip her beloved classic songs back to their raw essence - recorded at home, just voice and acoustic instruments, 20 years after it first made her a critical darling. [Limited edition translucent yellow splatter vinyl. Also released - a 20th anniversary reissue of Tamourine, on red vinyl.]

Nídia & Valentina (Magaletti) - Estradas LP (Latency Recordings)

An electrifying dance music album by multi-instrumentalist Valentina Magaletti and Afro-Portuguese beat-maker Nídia. Estradas ("roads" in Portuguese), born from the Sicilian heat and refined under English rain, transcends cultural and environmental barriers, showcasing the duo's rhythmic expertise and connection through intricate beats and infectious melodies. The album celebrates the universal language of music, immersing listeners in a world where rhythm reigns supreme and movement is inevitable. Nídia and Valentina continuously meet "on the road," sharing a sonic adaptation to the urgency and context of different environments. Their exchange of vibes and beats resonates with all these diverse places. Produced by Tom Halstead (Raime/Moin), Estradas masterfully blends syncopated drum patterns, pulsating marimba lines, and melodic interludes.

Nova Twins - Parasites & Butterflies LP (Marshall Records)

Nova Twins have risen from the UK's independent scene to become one of it's most transformative acts, rewriting the rules of success and redefining alt. Rock music's future. Sharing stages with Foo Fighters and Muse, earning two BRIT Award nominations, and making history as the first Black rock band shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, they've cemented their legacy as trailblazers. Praised by legends like Tom Morello and Elton John, their electrifying presence continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Their latest album, Parasites & Butterflies, is a genre-defying journey through life's chaos and beauty, blending hip-hop, punk, rock, pop and electronic influences. Fearless and unflinching, it explores empowerment, identity, and mental health, balancing turbulence with clarity and vulnerability with strength. [Limited edition translucent blue vinyl.]

Margo Price - Hard Headed Woman CD/LP (Loma Vista)

For nearly a decade, Margo Price has created a lane where independent-minded, insurgent country music can exist and thrive alongside the mainstream. Now she's back with an exquisite, timeless album that reconnects with her roots. At it's core, Hard Headed Woman is about that furious instinct to never waver - especially when our values and future are so clearly on the line. It's country music as only Price can make it: free of rules, cherishing tradition, hard headed but with a delicate beating heart. Limited Edition CD includes the bonus track, "Too Stoned To Cry," featuring Billy Strings. [Indie exclusive red velvet vinyl, signed by Margo! Available in the shop and in the Grimey’s webstore.]

Runnner - A Welcome Kind of Weakness CD/LP (Run for Cover)

Runnner's sophomore full-length, A Welcome Kind of Weakness, emerged from a simultaneous tear in songwriter Noah Weinman's body and life. Written during the months spent bedridden and healing from a torn achilles and the drastic upheaval of a breakup, the 11 songs on this record are Weinman's most bracing, inviting the perceived vulnerability of the album's title willingly. But at the same time, these songs are Runnner's most present, defiant and self-assured, a reminder of the resolve that can come from gracefully accepting submission. [Claritin blue vinyl.]

Shabason / Krgovich / Tenniscoats - Wao LP (Western Vinyl)

Wao is the spontaneous and dreamlike new album from Joseph Shabason, Nicholas Krgovich, and legendary Japanese duo Tenniscoats. Recorded over two unplanned days at the oceanfront artist haven Guggenheim House in Kobe, Wao captures the magic of pure improvisation, the joy of instant connection, and the quiet poetry of everyday life.

STRFKR - Miracle Mile LP (Polyvinyl)

There isn't a single song on Miracle Mile that every member of STRFKR didn't contribute to and ultimately improve. For proof, look no further than first single and opening track "While I'm Alive," a song that bursts out of the gate with what can only be described as swagger. Not overconfidence or false bravado, but the undeniable sound of a band that knows exactly who they are: swirling keyboards that take you up, down, and all around, rhythmic guitars, irresistible basslines, and drums that keep an unrelenting beat. Disco-y standout "Atlantis" is the paragon of this formula, with vocal and musical hooks seemingly custom fitted to a spot so deep inside your eardrums they'll never dislodge. But upbeat isn't Miracle Mile's only tempo. In fact, it's in quieter moments like "Isea," which briefly slows down the album's pulse with gentle "oh-oh-ohs" over acoustic guitar, that the record truly coalesces as a complete whole that couldn't have come together any other way. Just like STRFKR. [Limited edition pink vinyl.]

Zach Top - Ain’t In It for My Health CD/LP (Leo33)

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Zach Top is back with his highly anticipated new album Ain't In It For My Health, following last year's breakthrough debut album Cold Beer & Country Music. Zach recently achieved his first #1 song at country radio with "I Never Lie."

Reissues, Comps, Live Recordings, Vault Excavations...

David Axelrod - Songs of Experience LP (Elemental Music)

The second album by composer, arranger and producer David Axelrod, Songs of Experience (1969) follows his debut Song of Innocence. It was recorded after the death of his son Scott, and is, thus, a work concerned with mortality and spirituality. Again, it was inspired by the 18th-century poems of William Blake, set to the urban bombast of a full Los Angeles orchestra, with Wrecking Crew vets contributing dark funk. The album includes the hits "The Human Abstract" and "The Fly," the former later sampled by DJ Shadow. Songs of Experience showcases powerful orchestral textures, smooth jazz vibes, and experimental sounds that were ahead of it's time, remaining a timeless masterpiece.

Roy Ayers - He’s Coming LP (Elemental Music)

Roy Ayers' iconic album He's Coming presents the jazz-funk-soul vibraphone master at the top of his game. Inspired by the Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar - with even a cover of a song from the show - this LP showcases Ayers' spiritual and social beliefs. In addition to Ayers' core Ubiquity band, the album features legendary sidemen saxophonist Sonny Fortune, bassist Ron Carter and drummer Billy Cobham.

Chuck Berry - St. Louis to Liverpool LP (Elemental Music)

The seventh studio album by rock & roll master Chuck Berry, St. Louis to Liverpool was issued by Chess Records in 1964 and peaked at #124 on the US Billboard album chart, the first of his studio LPs to appear on the chart. Contains four of the five 1964 Chuck Berry charting singles: "No Particular Place to Go," "You Never Can Tell," "Promised Land," and "Little Marie." "You Never Can Tell" gained new fame after being danced by John Travolta and Uma Thurman on Tarantino's 1994 film Pulp Fiction.

John Coltrane - Giant Steps LP (Rhino Reserve)

A game-changer in jazz and an RIAA-certified Gold classic, Giant Steps marks John Coltrane's legendary Atlantic Records debut, featuring some of his most iconic compositions-including the groundbreaking title track "Giant Steps" and the soulful "Naima." Now pressed locally on 180-gram premium-quality vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing's new plant in Oxnard, California, as part of Rhino's exclusive Rhino Reserve line.

John Coltrane - The John Coltrane Quartet Plays LP (Verve Acoustic Sounds)

Recorded in two sessions just a few months after working on A Love Supreme, this album makes for a perfect introduction to Coltrane's final period as a leader. Though Art Davis plays second bass on "Nature Boy," the classic quartet of Coltrane with McCoy Tyner (piano), Elvin Jones (drums) and Jimmy Garrison (bass) is at full heat, leaning hard into more free improvisation with a matter-of-fact confidence that will become more normalized over his concluding two years. Verve Acoustic Sounds Series features transfers from analog tapes and remastered 180-gram vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.

Florence + the Machine - How Big How Blue 2xLP (Republic)

2015 album from the critically acclaimed alt-pop outfit. Produced by Markus Dravs (Bjok, Arcade Fire, Coldplay) with contributions from Paul Epworth, Kid Harpoon and John Hill, the third album by Florence + the Machine is live-sounding, tune-rich, unhinged in all the right places and powerful in all the best ways. In voice and, ultimately, outlook Florence has never sounded better.

Funkadelic - Funkadelic 2xLP (Org Music)

Released in 1970, Funkadelic's self-titled debut was a radical collision of psychedelic rock, gospel, blues, and soul - a chaotic, genre-defying statement that redefined the possibilities of Black music. Where Motown aimed for Polish and crossover appeal, Funkadelic dove headfirst into distortion, improvisation, and spiritual ambiguity, offering a sound as gritty and unpredictable as the era itself. Backed by a ferocious young band - including Eddie Hazel, Billy Bass Nelson, Tawl Ross, Tiki Fulwood, and Mickey Atkins - the album rejected convention in favor of raw groove and existential noise. Tracks like "I Got a Thing..." and "What Is Soul" pulse with menace and joy, bookended by surreal monologues that echo both street philosophy and space-age gospel. As part of Org Music's Westbound Records reissue series, this edition restores the album's full impact across multiple formats. The deluxe double LP, mastered at 45RPM directly from tape by Dave Gardner at DSG Mastering, offers the highest fidelity to date. Gardner and restoration specialist Catherine Vericolli archived and restored the original master tapes at 54 Sound Studios in Ferndale, Michigan, with assistance from in-house engineer Nick King. A single LP edition, cut from high-resolution tape transfers, is also available, alongside CD, cassette, and digital formats. [Limited edition purple splatter vinyl.]

Ahmad Jamal - The Essence Vol. 1 CD/2xLP (Diggers Factory)

When this album came out in 1995, it was an incredible breath of oxygen that penetrated the lungs of jazz, until then asphyxiated by young wolves, or let's say young clones, who were competing to see who could best imitate McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans or Herbie Hancock. Surrounded by a rhythm section he knows very well (his friends James Cammack, Jamil Nasser and Idris Muhammad are all part of the project), and with the exception of Israel Crosby and Vernell Fournier, Jamal has never felt more at ease than with these three. He also reunites with Manolo Badrena on percussion and George Coleman, an unfortunately little-known tenor saxophonist with an impressive track record (from Max Roach to Chet Baker and Miles Davis). Jamal's style is percussive piano, incredible finesse and suppleness of play, and an unheard-of sense of revival and dynamics. In short, if this pianist is unavoidable, it's also because he's a sacred monster with his own identifiable "sound", right from the very first bars.

Tift Merritt - Tambourine LP (One Riot Records)

Tift Merritt's Grammy-nominated Tambourine returns to vinyl to mark the 20th anniversary of the album. A landmark in Americana music, the album blends soulful instrumentals, heartfelt lyrics, and standout performances from legends like Mike Campbell and Robert Randolph. Remastered and pressed on translucent red vinyl, this long out- of-print classic is finally back where it belongs, on turntables and in the hands of fans old and new. [Limited edition translucent red vinyl.]

Motorhead - No Remorse 2xLP (BMG)
Motorhead - No Sleep ’til Hammersmith LP (BMG)
Motorhead - No Sleep At All LP (BMG)

New reissues on splatter colored vinyl for Motörhead’s classic compilation and their two live albums.

Neon Indian - Vega Intl. Night School 2xLP (Mom+Pop)

Neon Indian’s third album showed founder Alan Palomo embracing every fluorescent color of the ’80s music scene to create a synth-pop masterpiece. Fans and critics were dazzled by a unique melding of influences from The Police to Prince to Blondie and The Tom Tom Club, landing Vega Intl. Night School in the Top 20 of Billboard’s Rock, Indie, and Alternative Album charts, as well as best-of lists from Pitchfork, Complex, Under The Radar, and others. [Limited edition blue vinyl.]

Mickey Newbury - Heaven Help the Child CD/LP (Fat Possum)
Mickey Newbury - ‘Frisco Mabel Joy CD/LP (Fat Possum)

Back in print! “ Mickey Newbury quietly shaped the sound of American music. A key player in Nashville at the turn of the 1960s, it was Newbury who was responsible for bringing Townes Van Zandt & Guy Clark to Nashville and introducing Roger Miller to Kris Kristofferson's 'Me and Bobby McGee.'  Every door was open for Mickey Newbury. Penning songs like “An American Trilogy” (Elvis Presley), “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)” (Kenny Rogers and the First Edition), “She Even Woke Me Up To Say Goodbye,” (Jerry Lee Lewis), “Funny, Familiar, Forgotten Feelings” (Tom Jones), and other hits for Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Andy Williams, Etta James, Solomon Burke, Ray Charles, with many more (over 1,500 acts) covering his work over the decades, including more recently Bill Callahan, Phish and Vampire Weekend. Newbury wasn’t just a songwriter’s songwriter. He was wildly ambitious in his own recordings—pushing boundaries in production, song structure, and emotion long before other contemporaries. Mickey Newbury himself was by far the best interpreter of his own songs. His albums were intimate, cinematic, and decades ahead of their time. Rain & train sounds included. His works have been out of print for years, something that Fat Possum Records will change having acquired both master recordings and publishing for his entire catalog from Mickey Newbury’s estate.”

Chalino Sánchez - El Pela Vacas LP (Craft Recordings)

El Pela Vacas by the Godfather of the Corrido, Chalino Sánchez, was released in 1992 on Discos Musart. This classic recording features some of his greatest corrido compositions "Ya después de muerto," "Corrido del Gallito," and "La muerte del Pela Vacas." This is the first vinyl reissue since it's original pressing, and it features (AAA) lacquers cut from the original master tapes.

Wayne Shorter - Introducing Wayne Shorter LP (Craft Recordings)

The debut album from the legendary jazz saxophonist, Introducing Wayne Shorter was originally released on VeeJay in 1960. Included are five Shorter originals and cover of "Mack The Knife," with Shorter joined by Lee Morgan (trumpet), Wynton Kelly (piano), Paul Chambers (bass), and Jimmy Cobb (drums). This new edition of the album is released as part of the Original Jazz Classics Series on 180-gram vinyl pressed at RTI with all-analog mastering from the original tapes at Cohearent Audio and a Stoughton Tip-On Jacket.

Supertramp - Crime of the Century LP (A&M)
Supertramp - Crisis? What Crisis? LP (A&M)

Crime Of The Century' was Supertramp's era-defining third album that catapulted them to global success in 1974, breaking them into the UK Top 5 and Billboard Top 40 album charts for the first time. As the album fast-tracked the band's global popularity, they would write and record 'Crisis? What Crisis?' that was released just 13 months after 'Crime Of The Century.' With oversight of the band and co-producer Ken Scott, these 50th anniversary reissues have been remastered at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios on 180g vinyl giving them greater detail and the best possible clarity.

Sublime proudly announces the first release on their new label, Sublime Recordings, Look At All The Love We Found: A Tribute to Sublime. Co-released with Jakob Nowell's SVNBVRNT Records, this all-star compilation features over 30 covers from artists like Zac Brown Band ("Wrong Way"), Jack Johnson ("Badfish"), Pennywise ("Same In The End"), Michael Franti, G. Love, and more - all honoring Sublime's legendary legacy. The album pulls together tracks from two out-of-print tribute collections, 2005's Look At All The Love We Found and LAW Record's The House That Bradley Built and adds 8 unreleased songs to the mix. Pressed on vinyl and packed with heart, it's a must-have for alternative-reggae/punk fans and Sublime heads alike.

Billy Woods - Today, I Wrote Nothing CD/2xLP (Backwoodz Studioz)

10th anniversary repress. When Billy Woods released Today, I Wrote Nothing ten years ago, it was an unexpected departure from a rapper who was just starting to make waves in the indie rap scene. After spending the earlier part of his career in the wilderness, woods had managed to crawl out of obscurity with the minor success of 2012's History Will Absolve Me. Dour Candy, 2013's collaboration with underground legend Blockhead drew accolades, which only increased with Armand Hammer's debut Race Music. Then, woods dropped out of sight for two years before returning with Today, I Wrote Nothing, a record that deviated significantly from what had come before. [Limited edition coke bottle clear vinyl.

Hiroshi Yoshimura - Green LP (Light in the Attic)

Originally released in 1986, _GREEN_ is one of Hiroshi Yoshimura's most well-loved recordings and a favorite of the artist himself. Recorded over the winter of 1985-86 at Yoshimura's home studio, the compositions unfold at an unhurried pace, a stark contrast to the busy city life of Tokyo. As Yoshimura explained in the original liner notes, the album title in the context of this body of work is not meant to be seen as a color, but is rather used to convey "the comfortable scenery of the natural cycle known as GREEN"-which perfectly encapsulates the soothing and warm sounds contained on the album, although it was created utilizing Yamaha FM synthesizers, known for their crisp digital tones. This edition marks the first reissue of the highly sought-after and impossible to find album. It features the original mix preferred by Yoshimura himself, previously available only on the initial Japanese vinyl release (a limited edition remixed version of the album, with added sound effects, was released on CD in the US). Additionally, this release is the first in our ongoing series, WATER COPY, focusing on the works of Hiroshi Yoshimura. [Indie exclusive green swirl vinyl.]
