New Releases
98 Degrees - Full Circle CD/LP (Xoxo Entertainment)
After more than two decades of captivating fans with their signature harmonies and timeless love songs, 98 Degrees returns with Full Circle, an album that marks a new chapter in the group's storied career. This highly anticipated release features five brand new tracks that showcase the evolution of the band's sound, while still staying true to the essence that made them icons of the '90s and 2000s. Collaborations with powerful vocalists Katrina Velarde and Janine Teñoso bring fresh, dynamic layers to the album, with each artist adding their unique touch to these modern pop-soul anthems. In addition to the new material, Full Circle includes five of 98 Degrees' classic hits, re-recorded and remastered for a new era. The title Full Circle reflects the journey the group has taken-from their meteoric rise in the late '90s to their ongoing passion for making music together. With their signature harmonies stronger than ever, Full Circle is a testament to 98 Degrees' enduring legacy and their commitment to creating music that resonates across generations.
Andre 3000 - Moving Day LP (Epic)
Moving Day captures André 3000 in a very important time. Before New Blue Sun was recorded, filmmaker Dexter Navy films André in Venice Beach, California. The day happened to be when André was moving out of his home and into a new place. The score for Moving Day is a weaving of field recordings from the date of filming, an impromptu Q&A by Navy to André, and post studio recording performed forward then backward while watching the film. The additional track 'Tunnels of Egypt' is an unreleased New Blue Sun sessions recording.
Arcade Fire - Pink Elephant CD/LP (Columbia)
Composed of 10 new tracks, Pink Elephant is produced by Win Butler, Régine Chassagne and Daniel Lanois. When experienced in its entirety, Pink Elephant invites the listener on a sonic odyssey - a quest for life - that exists within the perception of the individual, a meditation on both darkness and light, the beauty within. The layers of this condensed epic unfold to reveal new dimensions with each successive listen. [Indie exclusive ‘total meltdown twister’ red/pink vinyl with booklet & sticker.]
Brandon - Before You Go LP (Secretly Canadian)
Brandon Joseph known simply as Brandon emerged from Southern California's rich creative landscape with a sound that blends understated vulnerability and genre-defying ambition. Brandon found his voice through trial-and-error, persistence and vision, and his songs bear the marks of his resourcefulness: Brandon taught himself guitar by ear, he plays every instrument on virtually every track, and he not only self-produced his debut, he mixed every song as well, finding harmony in their myriad layers. [Limited edition translucent blue vinyl.]
Candlemass - Black Star CDEP (Napalm)
2025 EP release from the acclaimed Swedish metal band. Candlemass, the Swedish godfathers of epic doom, honour their 40th anniversary of pioneering the genre with a four-track EP, Black Star. Packed with canyon-deep riffs, this celebration of doom metal mastery unveils two brand-new songs alongside two cover versions of timeless classics.
Chaparelle - Western Pleasure LP (Mom+Pop)
Acclaimed Texas-based musicians Zella Day and Jesse Woods are the country music duo Chaparelle. Esteemed for their exceptional vocal prowess and celebrated contributions to their distinct genres, Zella and Jesse craft a musical tapestry that harkens back to legendary duets of icons like George and Tammy or Gram and Emmylou. This partnership channels the enduring allure of Country music's golden age, weaving a melodic narrative that resonates with themes of love and the indomitable Texan essence. [Limited edition apple red color vinyl.]
Deradoorian - Ready for Heaven LP (Fire Records)
Deradoorian (Decisive Pink, Dirty Projectors) returns with ‘Ready for Heaven’, dealing with heaven and earth, damnation and salvation. It is a classic forty-minute set of inquisitive pop songs, blessed with a lightness of touch and a sharp focus that can’t help but charm the listener. It conjures up some last, faint afterglow of the old belief that an electronic, programmed beat can smash itself - and you - into another, more egalitarian consciousness. It is a remarkable fact that this bold and open-hearted record is made by one person, working alone. Repeatedly reworking the songs until they were complete is a painstaking process that generated an energy and space where Angel Deradoorian could indulge in the arcana of her artform. “I love the production more than the songwriting. [...] In fact, I don’t even feel like a songwriter at times, I feel like someone who is just inspired by so much music. And I want to try it all out! Like Lizzy Mercier Descloux, Mingus, or ESG and Silver Apples, or making weird krautrock and industrial music. I love dub, and Sly and Robbie. I love the productions of those records and the collective energies released by their creators in the studio. It’s just a weird thing to do it by yourself!”
The Freedom Affair - LP (Colemine)
The Freedom Affair has planted deep roots in soul music from their start, but after nearly a decade together, the group's self-titled sophomore album focuses their sound squarely where Muscle Shoals meets Memphis Soul. It's a masterstroke of impassioned message-music exploring ageless themes of inequity, love, and togetherness. A fateful February 2023 encounter with Grammy Award-winning recording engineer Boo Mitchell (Mark Ronson, Bruno Mars, Al Green) at Royal Studios created a spark that sent the band back to Kansas City with new musical conviction. By November, the band had returned to record all-new Southern Soul-inspired songs in the legendary Memphis studio. The ever-powerful female trio fronting the band-Paula Saunders, Seyko Groves, and Shon Ruffin-has been the hallmark of The Freedom Affair's sound and identity, and their collective vocal prowess is on full display ranging from tough to tender, touching on heartache and hope.
Hammock - From the Void LP (Hammock Music)
Since forming as Hammock in 2003, Byrd and Thompson have released 12 critically-acclaimed albums and are renowned for their unique talent for bringing inexpressible emotion to life. From the Void is an extension of the band's genre-defying 2023 album Love in the Void. Hammock's Marc Byrd explains: "There are four songs we were considering for Love in the Void that weren't fully fleshed out. Listening to them again, we decided they deserved to be brought to life because of how they made us feel. In addition, we decided to create four new pieces inspired by LITV. Adding these pieces and pulling them from the void creates what we think is a bridge between LITV and our next LP, as well as a nice stand-alone document of music."
The Head & The Heart - Aperture CD/LP (Verve Forecast)
"Sun was made for coming out, even though the night is long." Aperture - The Head and the Heart's sixth album and first since signing to Verve Forecast - is the affirming work of a band finding again it's shared footing, reaching unimagined levels of camaraderie and mutual risk as one. With every song fortified by the sense of beginning again, Aperture is The Head and the Heart's most vital and poignant album. Featuring tracks like the album's beautifully arcing opener "After the Setting Sun" and the mighty anthem "Arrow," Aperture is a stunning testament to the collaborative work of a band who decided to let in the light, return to their roots, and forge a new path, together as one. [Indie exclusive clear vinyl. We only received part of our order today. The remainder of our vinyl copies will arrive early next week.]
I’m With Her - Wild and Clear and Blue CD/LP (Rounder)
Since delivering their critically lauded debut, See You Around, and standalone singles like "Call My Name" (2020 Grammy winner for Best American Roots Song), I'm with Her have routinely taken time out from their individual careers to dream up songs together. On their long-awaited sophomore LP, Wild and Clear and Blue, the trio now bring their luminous harmonies to a soul-searching body of work about reaching into the past, navigating a chaotic present, and bravely moving forward into the unknown. [Limited edition blue eco-mix vinyl.] Also out today - a vinyl reissue of See You Around.
Thanya Iyer - Tide/Tied LP (Topshelf)
On her third full-length TIDE/TIED, Montreal artist Thanya Iyer expands on the future-folk designs of sophomore album KIND with washes of jazz-inflected pop and ensemble ambience. While Iyer explored a more personal journey of self-love on KIND, she, her band, and cohort of guest musicians embark on a new way of moving on TIDE/TIED, prizing collective care and communal healing as antidotes to the dissonances of living in a colonial, capitalistic world. [Limited edition ‘Into the Water’ white/blue galaxy color vinyl.]
Kaleo - Mixed Emotions CD/LP (Atlantic)
Mixed Emotions, the highly anticipated third studio album featuring 'Rock N Roller' and 'Lonely Cowboy'.
James Krivchenia - Performing Belief LP (Planet Mu)
“Performing Belief” is the fourth solo album of producer, drummer, and vibrant polymath James Krivchenia, and his first with Planet Mu. Following the hyperactive “Blood Karaoke” (2022, Reading Group), “Performing Belief” builds rhythmic thickets from gathered sounds interwoven with synths, drum machines and other samples. Having built these rhythmic nests, Krivchenia then called on two contemporary mages of the low end: electric bassist and fellow Angeleno Sam Wilkes (Wilkes/Gendel) and double bassist/multi-instrumentalist from Krivchenia’s native Chicago, Joshua Abrams (Natural Information Society). Wilkes and Abrams bring the presence of a grounding human witness to the rhythmic undergrowth, providing a centering and even at times melodic voice to the gathering. This alchemy carries a profoundly fresh sense of time, blurring the edges of the quantized grid and the generic boundaries of electronic music.
Leftover Salmon - Let’s Party About It CD/LP (Compass)
Leftover Salmon reaffirms their status as the most legendary of the bluegrass-rooted jam bands with their new studio album, Let's Party About It. Once again recording at Compass Sound Studio (formerly Glaser Sound Studio, aka "Hillbilly Central" and the birthplace of Outlaw Country), the band is joined by special guests Sam Bush (fiddle, mandolin), Jason Carter (fiddle), Jeff Coffin (saxophone), and more. [Limited edition yellow/purple swirl vinyl.]
Little Feat - Strike Up the Band CD/2xLP (Hot Tomato)

The album was produced by Vance Powell (Phish, Chris Stapleton, Jack White) and features collaborations with Molly Tuttle, Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke), Robert Hunter (Grateful Dead lyricist), and others. [Indie exclusive orange vinyl.]
Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk LP (Mom+Pop)
Magdalena Bay, the Los Angeles-based duo of Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin, create magical pop music that floats in the ether of our collective social cosmos. While they call California home, their essence lies in the clouds, emitting unique yet familiar frequencies of synthesized nostalgia, kitschy catchiness, and warped neo-hooks. Suited for the times, Magdalena Bay blends the known and felt with innovative sonic landscapes. [Indie exclusive translucent light blue vinyl.]
McLusky - The World is Still Here and So Are We CD/LP (Ipecac)
Having formed in the late nineteen-nineties and releasing music, if that is what it was, from 2000-2004, McLusky disbanded soon afterwards in a slow motion farce of not enough drama to get much press off the back of it. Now they are back fueled initially by spite but now enjoying it too much not to do it, and playing to crowds in the UK, US and Australia which are much bigger - and more hygienically inclined - than in their so-called heyday. So far nobody has complained, except for one guy in Leeds (and he was clearly on ketamine). [Indie exclusive silver vinyl.]
Maren Morris - Dreamsicle CD/LP (Columbia)
D R E A M S I C L E marks the highly anticipated 4th studio album from Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Maren Morris, arriving May 9 via Columbia Records. Featuring songs written by Morris with Julia Michaels and Tobias Jesso Jr, plus production by Jack Antonoff and Greg Kurstin, this album is a deeply personal exploration of transformation, resilience, and self-discovery. As Morris describes it, "D R E A M S I C L E takes place in the aftermath of loosening my grip on my personal and professional life. Sweeping through the pits of grief, but never staying too long, and finding the joy in knowing that at my core, I'm still who I am - and that's pretty f-ing great. D R E A M S I C L E became less about the hard lessons and more about enjoying the bumpy ride and finding people who genuinely want to be on it with you because they love you. It's about appreciating and respecting the beauty and nuances of life while it's happening, not after it's too late." [Indie exclusive orange juice color vinyl. See details about how to get in on our signing with Maren Morris next Saturday, May 17th, at noon!]
Kristina Murray - Little Blue CD/LP (Normaltown)
Little Blue, the latest album from Nashville artist Kristina Murray was recorded with producers Misa Arriaga and Rachael Moore. The collection grapples with loneliness, desperation, and existential crises through a series of cinematic snapshots of small-town burnouts and last call lovers. Murray is a country artist in the truest sense, a genuine craftswoman with a keen eye and ear for the little details that bring her working-class characters to life, and her delivery is timeless, blurring the lines between the old school honky-tonk, swampy Americana, and R&B-infused southern rock she grew up on in her home state of Georgia.
PARTYNEXTDOOR / Drake - $ome $exy $ongs 4 U CD/2xLP (RCA)
"$ome $exy $ongs 4 U" emerges as a unique collaboration between Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, weaving a tapestry of sultry R&B rhythms with a hint of hip-hop's punchy edge. Preoccupations - Ill at Ease CD/LP (Born Losers)
New release from the alt-rock / post punk band formerly known as Viet Cong.
Ringdown - Lady On the Bike CD/LP (Nonesuch)
Ringdown is Caroline Shaw and Danni Lee. Their debut album celebrates the feeling of possibility in myriad forms: the possibility of love; the possibility of creating connection and community in a world trying to pull those things apart; the possibility of making music in new ways. The songs on Lady on the Bike draw from subjects such as relationships (good and not-so-good), personal growth, political anger, and joy. The songs were collaboratively written and recorded by the duo, mostly in unconventional settings around the world-at airports, Airbnbs, the Muziekgebouw concert hall, under a bridge in Amsterdam-and often using blankets to create makeshift sound booths and a Neumann TLM 102 mic that Shaw has carried with her for years. Ringdown invited New Body Electric members Leah Vautar and Aaron K. Peterson to perform on and help produce several songs, helping the band crystallize it's distinct pop sound. The album also features Sō Percussion on a new version of Ringdown's previously released single "Ghost." Ringdown appeared on Sō and Shaw's new Grammy-winning album Rectangles and Circumstance, and the groups have been performing together in collaborative concerts since last fall
Mark Pritchard / Thom Yorke - Tall Tales CD/2xLP (Warp)
Mark Pritchard & Thom Yorke release their debut album as a duo via Warp Records. Tall Tales showcases Pritchard's mastery of archaic machines unearthed in synthesizer archives, guiding the music down unexpected and experimental paths. Yorke meanwhile delivers a haunting and expansive vocal performance, evoking Radiohead's OK Computer-era digital FX while delving into dark, introspective storytelling. Visual collaborator Jonathan Zawada's artistry enhances the project with his hyperreal environments that juxtapose uneasy landscapes of natural beauty with the brutal aesthetics of a dystopian world. Spacey Jane - If That Makes Sense CD/LP (Fantasy)
Australian indie rock band Spacey Jane are back with a new album, the quartet's most accomplished and ambitious to date, produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, MUNA, The 1975). If That Makes Sense - often used as a query without a question mark, a request for reassurance that can signal a lack of confidence in what's being expressed. And yet, Spacey Jane have never sounded bigger, brighter, or more self-assured.

Unwed Sailor - Cruel Entertainment LP (Felte Records)
For their tenth LP in a career spanning more than two decades, Tulsa's Unwed Sailor deliver their heaviest riffs, loudest squalls, and most deeply textured arrangements yet. Cruel Entertainment is a catalogue of contrasts - dissonance and harmony, hardcore crunch and post-rock grandeur, complexity and catchiness - that adds a vibrant new dimension to the second phase of their discography, spanning thus far from 2019's landmark Heavy Age up to the "vivid, starry-eyed psychedelia" (AllMusic) of 2024's Underwater Over There.

The album's complexity and depth have earned it critical acclaim and a devoted following, making it a sought-after gem for collectors and audiophiles alike. Notably, "Symbolic" stands out in the vinyl community due to it's rarity, being the only album from Death's catalog that hasn't been reissued on vinyl in recent years, even though it's often cited as the cornerstone album in one of the most impressive death metal discographies of all time.

Gershon Kingsley - Music to Moog By LP (Audio Fidelity)
One of the earliest & most influential Electronic albums OF ALL TIME "Audio Fidelity Records... believes Gershon Kingsley is a true genius and a worthy creative compliment to the electronic wizardry of Robert A. Moog, the creator of the Moog Synthesizer." 1969 The Beatles were influenced by him (and sampled his music on their 1968 Beatles Christmas EP). Since 1972, his music accompanies each day's Main Street Electrical Parade in Disney theme parks. Yet Gershom Kingsley (born: Götz Gustav Ksinski) remains a mystery to many, despite being one of electronic music's finest pioneers and earliest exponents of Robert Moog's synthesizer and the possibilities it's use bought to music. Newly mastered from restored Audio Fidelity tapes - this reissue sounds incredible! The rare non-album B-side The First Step (The Sea Of Tranquility) has been added to the LP while the CD adds additional mono mixes and comes in the album's alternate cover. Both LP and CD include the rare 8-page booklet that came with initial copies of the Audio Fidelity LP. To repay The Beatles compliment of including one of his songs, Gershom Kingsley covered two Fab Four classics in his own unique electronic style and included them on Music To Moog By: 'Nowhere Man' and 'Paperback Writer'. "First-wave Moog enthusiast and electronic music pioneer..." Electronic Sound. [Limited edition strawberry with black swirl vinyl.]
Lamb - An Extension of Now: Unreleased Recordings 1968-69 LP (Real Gone Music)
Released in the early ‘70s, Lamb’s first two albums, A Sign of Change and Cross Between, did indeed offer some of the most intriguing and eclectic music of any San Francisco rock band on the psychedelic scene. But Lamb’s history predated the release of those records by a good couple of years or so. So prolific were Barbara Mauritz and Bob Swanson that quite a few of their original compositions didn’t make it onto their albums, though these were often on par with the songs that did find official release. Unlike many bands of the time who had a bounty of surplus quality tunes, Lamb often taped these in studios and studio-like rehearsal conditions, as well as making some professional tapes of their live performances. Fortunately, many of those tapes survive, including a good number of songs that didn’t find a place on their LPs, as well as substantially different versions of some that did. The best of these from the late 1960s find release for the first time on An Extension of Now: Unreleased Recordings 1968-1969. This collection not only rounds out our picture of one of San Francisco rock’s finest underappreciated acts, but also serves as a first-class document of Lamb as they made their transition from a more standard rock outfit to a group not easily comparable to any other in the region, or indeed any other anywhere.
Nellie McKay - Gee Whiz: The Get Away from Me Demos CD/LP (Omnivore)
Previously unreleased demos from the acclaimed singer/songwriter. "I was attracted to the lyrics immediately," says legendary Beatles engineer and producer Geoff Emerick, on the demos for what would become Nellie McKay's 2004 critically-lauded debut album, Get Away From Me. "Her level of maturity at such a young age is astounding. You come across an artist of this caliber once every 10 or 15 years. And I don't do a lot of projects these days unless something really stands out like this did." Get Away From Me landed on the Billboard Top 200, received four stars from Rolling Stone, and Nellie made her network television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman. In 2020, Salon hailed the record as "one of the great pop albums of the early 21st century." Revisiting the album in 2024, reviewers remarked: "... anger and discombobulation reflect the violence happening in her name via her tax dollars... Two decades later, the circumstances and names differ, but the anguish remains the same, as politicians, dictators, and other killers make life hell for ordinary citizens. The word "brilliant' comes to mind, as does the acknowledgement-the reality-that the average listener can't deal with this many ideas, lyrical and musical. Gee Whiz: The Get Away From Me Demos collects Nellie's recordings which became that landmark album, composed, performed, and produced by Nellie, and sequenced identically to the original record.
Shel Silverstein - Drain My Brain LP (Reel)
"Drain My Brain" might just be the most aptly named record of the 20th century. It's a pure stream of consciousness from the brilliant and one-of-a-kind artist, Shel Silverstein. Whatever this album represents, Silverstein had to let it out, and you'll want to let it in!
