Caterina Barbieri & Bendik Giske - At Source LP (light-years)
This collaboration finds two acclaimed composer-musicians building a world together in self-contained collaboration between analogue synthesis and an extended approach to the saxophone that conjures its own universe of sound. It is at once intimate and cosmic, drawing on the challenges and possibilities of their artistic exchange, tearing down technique to access all the expansive possibilities of their sonic meeting point. Theirs is both abstract and cosmic, in the synth as machine undermined by Barbieri's naturalistic playing, and in Giske's continuous exploration of the symbiosis between his instrument, voice, and body.
Blarf - Film Scores For Films That Don't Exist LP (Stones Throw)
Blarf is comedian and actor Eric André's musical project. Most people know Eric as an actor and for his surreal, boundary-pushing comedy career, but few know Eric André as a bona fide musician who attended the prestigious Berklee School of Music, where he specialized in standing bass. Now, Blarf brings his disruptive energy to a new body of work that is both an extended comedic bit and entirely, unironically serious: Film Scores For Films That Don't Exist. Inspired by composers like Ennio Morricone and Vangelis, whose signature sound is as iconic as the films they soundtracked, Eric enlisted a full orchestra to bring his compositions to life, recording in Los Angeles and Budapest. Landing somewhere between the symphony and the moshpit, Film Scores for Films that Don't Exist is a project only Blarf could make.
Boards of Canada - Inferno CD/2xLP/deluxe 2xLP (Warp)
After thirteen years of silence from the compound, Boards of Canada finally return. Inferno retains their signature melodies and atmospheres, drawing on the esoteric influences explored in Societas X Tape (their 2019 NTS mix for Warp Records' 30th anniversary) and the darker ambience introduced on Tomorrow's Harvest, further deepened by an expanded role for speech soundbites. Spanning seventy minutes, the new album is available on special edition limited red translucent 2LP vinyl in triple gatefold sleeve with a 16-page booklet, black 2LP vinyl, and CD with 20-page booklet.
Dervish - The Great Irish Songbook Vol 2: Poets & Storytellers CD/LP (Down the Road)
Dervish is a celebrated Irish traditional folk band from County Sligo, formed in 1989. Fronted by charismatic singer and multi-instrumentalist Cathy Jordan, the ensemble also includes accomplished players on flute, fiddle, guitar, accordion, and mandola, drawing deeply on the rich musical heritage of northwest Ireland. In 2019, they released The Great Irish Songbook, an album of traditional Irish songs featuring guests including Vince Gill, the SteelDrivers, and others. For their new album The Great Irish Songbook, Vol 2: Poets & Storytellers, they shifted their focus to works by modern masters of Irish songcraft including Sinead O'Connor, Shane MacGowan, Van Morrison, Glen Hansard, and Moya Brennan. They enlisted another stellar group of guest artists including Indigo Girls, Aoife O'Donovan, Iron & Wine, and Sarah Jarosz.
Dogstar - All In Now CD/LP (Dillon Street)
Los Angeles rock trio Dogstar is back with All In Now, the band's fourth studio album and the follow-up to 2023's Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees. Produced by Nick Launay (IDLES, Amyl and the Sniffers, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds), All In Now marks a new era for Dogstar, with layered guitar riffs and heavy bass inspired by their time out on the road. [Indie exclusive marbled red vinyl pressing.]
Fire-Toolz - Lavender Networks LP (Warp)
Lavender Networks is the debut album on Warp Records by Nu Age pioneer Fire-Toolz. The Maryland-born, Chicago-based artist also produces and engineers for other artists including No Joy's latest album Bugland (Pitchfork Best New Music). Lavender Networks features Zola Jesus, Brothertiger, Nailah Hunter, Lipsticism, Jennifer Holm and Sling Beam. Dream logic, laughter in tears and emotional truth through absurdity are explored on this cybernetic journey running at fiber optic speeds.
Renée Fleming - The Fiddle and the Drum CD (Renée Fleming)
The Fiddle and the Drum brings together 5x Grammy winning soprano Renée Fleming and 19x Grammy-winning banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck for a celebration of Appalachian folk music. Produced by Béla Fleck, the album mines a rich vein of America's musical heritage, weaving the expressive depth of Fleming's voice with the brilliance of Fleck's banjo, backed by an all-star bluegrass line up and special guests including Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Mike Bub, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Sierra Hull, Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O'Donovan and Bryan Sutton.
Nathan Evans Fox - Heirloom CD/LP (Free Dirt Records)
North Carolina-bred, Nashville-based indie country artist Nathan Evans Fox writes songs that trace the fault lines between family, faith, labor, and inheritance. Raised on four generations of family land at the end of a dead-end road in Glen Alpine, North Carolina, Fox grew up in a community shaped by mill closures, factory layoffs, and the slow erosion of working-class stability. His sound carries blue-collar critique and community-minded hope into places that might otherwise resist them. For him, country music is about owning your twang, working inside traditions, and making sure the hardest conversations happen in a language that feels familiar. Fox lovingly calls it "comrade country." Banjo threads throughout the record in inventive ways-bowed, muted, and treated percussively-used less as a symbol of tradition than as a storytelling device.
GA-20 - Orphans LP (Colemine)
One of the more defining features of Blues upstarts GA-20's approach to traditional Blues music is their unwavering dedication to playing the songs they love, or as bandleader Matthew Stubbs puts it, "we play the music we would want to hear." Those in the know have been captivated by the visceral energy the band brings to the heavy Blues arena, and the songs they choose to perform. With Orphans, the band has assembled a collection of blues and blues-adjacent tracks that fit handily within that parameter. The songs found on Orphans are just that - singular tunes heard only at live shows, singles released between albums, and simple favorites that the band (Stubbs, Cody Nilsen & Josh Kiggans) have been itching to lay down. [Yellow/orange/blue vinyl pressing.]
Gnarls Barkley - Atlanta CD/LP (Atlantic)
First new music from Gnarls Barkley in nearly 20 years. A celebration of the city where it all started. Atlanta is the third and final studio album by the duo of CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse. [Green vinyl pressing.]
Violet Grohl - Be Sweet to Me CD/LP (Universal)
The debut album by Violet Grohl. Featuring 11 tracks, including the single, "THUM." [Blueberry Jam color vinyl pressing.]
Guided by Voices - Crawlspace of the Pantheon LP (Guided by Voices)
Guided by Voices' last album Thick Rich and Delicious (October 2025) was lauded by NPR's All Things Considered and picked #1 on Magnet Magazine's Best Albums Of 2025. The single "We Outlast Them All" from this latest, Crawlspace Of The Pantheon, is an anthemic victory lap on album #44 from the indie rock stalwarts. On Crawlspace, Robert Pollard says: "I worked much more diligently on this set of lyrics. I chiseled away at lines and sections and phrasings... I wanted them to have an overall emotionally conceptual feel. At times it feels somewhat autobiographical."
Hether - Holy Water 2xLP (R&R)
Before being called "the coolest man in music" (The Line of Best Fit), Paul Castelluzzo was a teenager surfing the beaches of San Diego and playing bars with local jazz greats like Curtis Taylor, until Rodney Jerkins brought him to Los Angeles to perform on tracks for Britney Spears and Justin Bieber. In between driving for Lyft and serving as the music director for a Russian Pentecostal church to make ends meet, he was enlisted for Romeo Santos' album, Golden, but soon returned home to begin his next chapter as Hether. Since then, his self-taught guitar style, songwriting talents and profound production palette have led to him working with everyone from Clairo, Dominic Fike, Remi Wolf and The Marías to Paul McCartney, Anderson.Paak, Benny Blanco, Kali Uchis, Kenny Beats, Mac Miller, Rick Ross, Vince Staples and more who continue to discover Hether. [Cloudy pink and cloudy green color vinyl pressing.]
Joe Hisaishi - Joe Hisaishi Conducts CD/2xLP (Deutsche Grammophon)
Joe Hisaishi's new album blends cinematic sound worlds with the spellbinding power of a live performance experience. Recorded in 2024 at Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Hisaishi's album features the maestro's original piece "The End of the World" and Steve Reich's "Desert Music," performed with the Futures Orchestra Classics and the Philharmonic Chorus of Tokyo.
Keyland - Knuckle Sandwich LP (One Riot Records)
Keyland's Knuckle Sandwich is a loud, unvarnished LP from Kyle Ross, recorded at Sonic Ranch and produced/mixed by Haffway (Sam Westhoff). From grit-forward rockers like "Pinball Machine Rodeo Queen" and "Cannonball" to the bruised storytelling of "Sandra" and "A Hundred Feet Away," the record balances muscle and melody. Played by a tight Tulsa crew and released via One Riot Records, it's built for stage impact. As Ross puts it: "Oftentimes love looks more like a punch to the face than a kiss on the cheek."
Kirby - Miss Black America CD/LP (Diamond West Records)
Hailed as "the epitome of Southern Soul" (VIBE) and a "bluesy stroke of brilliance" (Okayplayer), with "a voice molded by the gospel church and a near preternatural handling of the deep-down intensity of the blues" (KCRW), Miss Black America further expands Kirby's mission to reclaim her roots, and bring Mississippi music and culture to the masses. While Kirby has co-written and collaborated with the likes of Rihanna, Paul McCartney, Beyoncé, Black Thought, Ariana Grande, and more, Miss Black America is entirely her own. Choosing hymns over hits, stories over samples, and truth over trends, this project takes you from the Saturday cookout to the Sunday church service, while getting you through working for "The Man" on Monday. It is blues and soul music for the future, and made for those who came before her: the ancestors who danced, cried and sang on the land of the Dockery Plantation where she descends from, and where many credit as the birthplace of the Delta blues.
Joe Lovano / Julian Lage - Paramount Quartet CD/LP (ECM)
Grammy Award-winning titan of jazz saxophone Joe Lovano, hailed by The New York Times as "one of the greatest musicians in jazz history," and virtuoso guitarist Julian Lage have enjoyed a long journey of mutual artistic admiration. This new electrifying ensemble also features longtime collaborators Santi Debriano on bass and drummer Will Calhoun.
Gigi Masin - Movement LP (Sacred Bones)
Gigi Masin's Sacred Bones debut record is a bold evolution of his ambient language. Where his early work drifted in slow, oceanic stillness, Movement pulses with rhythmic groove. Building on the trance-inducing momentum of Vahine and recent collaborations with Greg Foat and Moses Boyd, Masin pushes beyond solitary listening toward something physical, communal and alive. Current-like rhythms, melancholic motifs, and technoid pulses dissolve the boundary between body and the great beyond. [Silver vinyl pressing.]
Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane CD/LP (Capitol)
The Boys of Dungeon Lane is a collection of rare and revealing glimpses into memories never-before shared, along with some newly inspired love songs, from one of the most culturally significant figures of our time. These extraordinary new songs find Paul writing with rare openness about his childhood in post-war Liverpool, the resilience of his parents, and early adventures shared with George Harrison and John Lennon long before the world had ever heard of Beatlemania. Includes 12-page lyric booklet and embossed cover artwork. [Indie exclusive pink vinyl pressing.]
Greg Mendez - Beauty Land CD/LP (Dead Oceans)
Greg Mendez has always been an economical songwriter - he wields restraint and simplicity as tools, the core of his songs sharpened into simple, cutting truths. On Beauty Land, his new album and debut LP for Dead Oceans, we're guided by a wry but forgiving narrator, an underdog who has learned to balance cynicism and faith. These songs are self-effacing without self-pity, carefully constructed altars of imperfection channeled through pop melodies, shimmering but urgent guitars, and a voice that reaches for choir boy innocence.
Eugene Mirman - Here Comes the Whimsy LP (Pretty Good Friends)
Eugene Mirman reveals a series of mild grievances with warmth and wonder in his first special and album in a decade, Here Comes The Whimsy. He shares anecdotes from fatherhood, insights from travel, and tackles dress-code trauma and rental car disputes with a playful spirit that is both sharp and silly. The New York Times writes, "Mirman's stand-up is infused with a warm and cheerful sense of the ridiculous," while Mike Birbiglia once called Eugene the "Andy Warhol of comedy." Eugene is confident that this is the last comedy special you'll listen to (if you take poison right after).
Monolord - Neverending CD (Relapse)
For well over a decade, Monolord have caused mass riff hypnosis with longform epics steeped in repetition, volume, and heaviness. In looking for a new take on the genre for their latest record, Monolord approached the legendary producer Sylvia Massy, known for her work with Tool, System of a Down, and Johnny Cash, among many more. The payoff from this new process is undeniable. Neverending feels like the culmination of 13 years of heavy, molten music, with a keen eye towards creating a sharper album.
Kip Moore - Reason to Believe CD/LP (Kip Moore)
The second full-length from the multi-platinum singer-songwriter in two years. With anthemic, arena-worthy bangers and achingly heartfelt ballads, the 13-song collection finds the Nashville-based artist embarking on a new chapter, continuing to expand upon his sonic landscape that blurs the lines between country, southern rock, and Americana. Co-produced by Moore alongside Andrew DeRoberts.
Willie Nelson - Dream Chaser CD/LP (Sony Legacy)
Dream Chaser is Willie Nelson's 79th solo studio album and 156th album overall, and a brand-new release that brings together a collection of reflective, story-driven songs focused on relationships, personal growth, and life on the road. Rooted in classic songwriting traditions with a modern perspective, the album balances intimate narratives with universal themes of perseverance, timing, and clarity.
Joey Quiñones - Inna Soul Steady Situation CD/LP (Colemine)
The debut solo album from the producer, composer, and member of Thee Sinseers is a deliberate departure from his band's lush orchestrations, stripped down to showcase the roots reggae foundations that have always lived beneath Quiñones's work. Before you know it, you've taken off on a sonic soul spaceship with Quiñones at the helm, supported by his two-person crew: Eric Johnson from Thee Sinseers on saxophone and Eleazar from the Brown Boyz on piano, as you cruise across silver-lined clouds and dip your toes into dreamy moonlit grooves found on "Don't Let Go," "Driftin'" and "One More Night." [Orange vinyl pressing.]
The Rolling Stones - In the Stars 10" (Capitol)
The Rolling Stones return with a blistering new rocker that hits hard from the first note. Mick Jagger's high-octane vocals lead the charge, while Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood deliver signature, riff-driven firepower. The result is a track that feels timeless yet explosive-loud, sharp, and impossible to ignore. It's a bold statement: The Stones are back and more unstoppable than ever. [Yellow vinyl pressing.]
Ana Roxanne - Poem 1 CD/LP (kranky)
The first album in six years from the experimental musician and vocalist. Heartbroken and reflective, Roxanne surveys the transformations that followed 2020's Because of a Flower and displays a new-found boldness. Her voice is naked, vulnerable and alive, no longer shrouded in tape noise or looped and echoed beyond recognition beneath layered electroacoustic textures. Throughout the course of 'Poem 1', Roxanne displays her skill as a singer and songwriter in the classic sense, using the limited instrumentation simply to accent her exposed tones. Muted piano phrases and plucked bass notes languidly trail her anguished siren song on 'Berceuse in A-flat Minor, Op. 45', making each word count.
Shinedown - EI8HT CD/2xLP (Atlantic)
The eighth studio album from the alternative rock band. [Green vinyl pressing.]
Sparta - Cut a Silhouette CD (Equal Vision)
The post-hardcore/alt rock band's first album since 2022's self-titled release. Produced by J. Robbins.
Aaron Lee Tasjan - Get Over It, Underdog CD/LP (Blue Elan)
Get Over it, Underdog is an 11 song collection about the duality of the American underdog. The characters within these tunes are exotic dancers, cringe white guys, historic world explorers, ultra wealthy people playing God, baby Jesus, eccentric women who have done life their own way, and dreamers. The album is a rich tapestry that weaves together all of these tales into one enchanting piece. Each song takes an honest look at what it means to be some kind of underdog all coming from a songwriter who has been called an underdog by others and who has at times identified himself in this way only to realize that in the end, every human being contains multitudes beyond the limited capacity we have to observe and truly know ourselves and each other. [Turquoise vinyl pressing.]
Devin Townsend - The Moth CD (Inside Out)
The Moth is Devin Townsend's most ambitious work to date, a project that has existed in his mind as his life's work - an immersive orchestral, choral, and theatrical project over a decade in the making. What began as a distant vision became reality when Townsend was invited to collaborate with the North Netherlands' Orchestra and Choir. Unlike his previous genre-hopping worlds, The Moth was conceived from the ground up as a fully orchestrated narrative. Townsend spent years relearning musical fundamentals to write the score himself: harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration rebuilt from scratch, expertly assisted by Joseph Stevenson. The result is a meticulously crafted, emotionally driven piece where every instrument and voice has space to speak.
Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me CD/2xLP (Verve Forecast)
Kurt Vile's 'Philadelphia's been good to me' illustrates his love for his home city, where he still resides and records most of his music. This album includes his distinct jangly guitars, soaring instrumental passages, and lyrics that are cheeky and sentimental at the same time. [Schuylkill River blue vinyl pressing]
Villagerrr - Carousel CD/LP (Winspear)
A dynamic new chapter in villagerrr's discography, Carousel, Mark Scott's fifth album as villagerrr, glides from slowcore to shoegaze, from log-cabin folk to the accelerated bliss of rock tailor-made for an empty freeway. The boldest and most delicate album to date from the Ohio songwriter, Carousel is a sweeping exploration of what it means to try to make sincere art in a hyperexposed and constricting age, where Scott's big, midwestern songs smolder with a desire to find enduring meaning. [Blue vinyl pressing.]
Joshua Ray Walker - Ain't Dead Yet CD (East Dallas Records)
Ain't Dead Yet is Walker's time capsule of the past three years. Standing on the other side, it's also a dedication to the future. "I'm really grateful to have a second chance, and I'm also grateful to have lived through thinking I was going to die. It gives you perspective in a way you really can't fake until you've actually done it; in a way, it was kind of a gift," Walker says, though sometimes a new beginning also feels like a lot to live up to. "I faced death; I almost lost my house; I got engaged; We lost most of our belongings to flood and mold; I've had loved ones die; I almost lost my entire music catalog. It's been a lot, good and bad. I'm just a much different person."

Camper Van Beethoven - II & II (40th Anniversary) LP (Cooking Vinyl)
Non-sensical, un-user friendly, at times half finished. Camper Van Beethoven's second album II & III saw the folk-punk of the band's debut LP morphing into a coherently incoherent collection of some of the band's most defining songs. Originally released in 1986, the follow up to Telephone Free Landslide Victory did much to develop an already singular Camper Van Beethoven idiom. II & III ranges from alt-country ballads to call-backs to the European folk instrumentals of the debut. Also featured is the band's bluegrass-Americana take on Sonic Youth's "I Love Her All the Time", feeding their appetite for cover songs. [Red, white, and blue toothpaste splatter color vinyl.]
Colonel Bagshot - Oh! What a Lovely War LP+7" (Seelie Court)
Darkly psychedelic, politically charged, and utterly rare. This one-off psych-rock classic from 1971 still resonates with its anti-war edge. Originally released on the Chess subsidiary Cadet Concept, Oh! What a Lovely War is the sole album by Liverpool’s Colonel Bagshot. The band, initially known as “Colonel Bagshot’s Incredible Bucket Band,” began as a six-piece before condensing into a four-piece, and produced an intense series of 7-inches between 1969 and 1973, earning a devoted cult following. The album’s standout track, “Six Day War,” achieved renewed recognition when DJ Shadow sampled it (renamed “Six Days”) on his 2002 album The Private Press. Seelie Court’s 2026 anniversary reissue comes pressed on psychedelic splatter vinyl with original gatefold sleeve artwork, expanded with additional liner notes and an obi strip.

Ducks Ltd. - Modern Fiction LP (Carpark)
Toronto's Ducks Ltd. (formerly Ducks Unlimited), the bright jangle-pop duo of Tom McGreevy (lead vocal, guitar, bass, keyboards) and Evan Lewis (guitar, bass, drum programming), accomplish the impossible. The pair craft songs that play to very specific inspirations without drowning underneath them-immediately evidenced on their critically acclaimed EP, Get Bleak, and sharpened on Modern Fiction, their debut LP. Echoes of '80s indie pop abound, but they never overwhelm. This is not a nostalgic record, after all, nor is it a derivative one. Instead, across 10 cheery-sounding songs, Ducks Ltd. Explore contemporary society in decline, examining large scale human disaster through personal turmoil. ["18 Cigarettes" smoke color vinyl pressing.]

Various Artists - Funk the Reggae Beat CD/LP (Trojan Records)
When funk music exploded onto the global pop scene in the late '60s, many of Jamaica's leading music-makers were inspired to incorporate elements of the exciting sound into their work. The result was the fascinating and compelling funky reggae style that proved immensely popular with record buyers on both sides of the Atlantic throughout the early '70s. Pioneers of the sound included such celebrated producers as Lee "Scratch" Perry and Lloyd Charmers, whose recordings are heavily represented on this irresistible collection. Collected here are some of the finest examples of the funky reggae, performed by some of reggae music's most accomplished artists, from Ken Boothe and Lee Perry's Upsetters to British-based acts, Greyhound and The Marvels.
Bob Hughes - My Old Man CD/LP (Seelie Court)
The long-lost debut from obscure singer-songwriter Bob Hughes. One of the rarest private-press folk records of the British ‘70s underground. With only two guitars and vocals, My Old Man was quickly recorded in August 1976 at Spaceward Studios in Victoria Street in Cambridge. “It was a very basic place,” comments lead guitarist Ron Turner. The recording budget was even more basic and the focus was on first takes. “A mistake meant money,” says Ron. An album that spells authenticity in so many words. These are original songs that were privately pressed and soon became a sought-after collector's item.

Various Artists - Soul Jazz Records Presents: London Jazz Classics CD/LP (Soul Jazz)
London Jazz Classics originally came out in 1993 - the first album ever to be released on Soul Jazz Records. The album brought together rare and obscure dance tracks in a unique mix of jazz dance and fusion, funk, Brazilian and Latin grooves. The album was ironically titled - none of the music was from London, and none of the music was traditionally classified as jazz, but these were tracks that were filling dancefloors in a nascent jazz dance scene in London being created by a small group of DJs - Paul Murphy, Gilles Peterson, and Sylvester, to name a few. This music paved the way for the arrival of many of the UK's new wave of current artists such Shabaka Hutchings, Nubya Garcia and Ezra Collective who today offer a uniquely London sensibility of fusing jazz with wide-ranging cultural influences - everything from afrobeat to soul. More than 30 years since its initial release Soul Jazz Records are releasing this new 2026 edition, bringing the music once more to a new generation of listeners.
