Here's your weekly rundown of what's hitting the new release racks at Grimey's

New Releases

Art School Girlfriend - Lean In LP (Fiction)

London-based, Wrexham-raised artist and producer Art School Girlfriend releases her third studio album. Armed with the freedom and space to experiment, Lean In was self-produced in her own East London studio and sees Art School Girlfriend set to move from cult bedroom artist to one of the UK's most vital artist/producers operating at the moment, tackling alternative rock, electronic pop & experimental ambient sounds in her most cohesive work to date. With every detail intentional, this new record is less of a honing of her trademark sound of emotional blend of electronic sounds and shoegaze - and more of an expansion of it. [Indie exclusive natural with white marble color vinyl pressing.]

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb CD (RCA)

Recently released on vinyl, now available on CD. The fourth studio album from the American rapper and producer. Features guest appearances from Doechii, Gorillaz, Jessica Pratt, and more.

The Builders & the Butchers - No Tomorrow CD/LP (Badman Records)

Portland, Oregon's The Builders and the Butchers return with their seventh studio album No Tomorrow. These eleven songs were written with the current cultural changes and challenges in mind, and the overarching message is that we can find hope in each other and still lead lives full of joy and creativity even when systems and leaders fail us. No Tomorrow was produced and recorded by multi-instrumentalist bandmate Ray Rude at his Laundry Room Studio. NPR has described the band as specializing in a kind of white-knuckle Americana: "Their acoustic folk-rock sound is shot through with nervy, hellfire-and-brimstone intensity."

Butler, Blake & Grant - Murmurs LP (355 Recordings)

Following on from Butler, Blake & Grant's eponymous 2025 debut for Bernard Butlers' 355 Recordings, the trio reassembled at Norman Blake's home studio. 'Murmurs' is in some ways going back to where it all began for Butler, Blake & Grant, with the trio reimagining songs from their individual back catalogues which was in fact the premise for the very early shows that they played together. It all begins with 3 guitars, 3 voices and blooms from there. [Limited edition silver vinyl pressing.]

Cactus - Temple of Blues II: All-Stars CD (Cleopatra)

America's Led Zeppelin returns with a thunderous sequel that expands the raw blues-rock vision of 2024's Temple Of Blues with even more fire, swagger, and authority! Original Cactus drummer Carmine Appice anchors the album with his unmistakable power, groove, and feel, driving every track and reaffirming his status as one of the most influential drummers in rock history! Fan-favorite contributors to the original ToB are back as well including Billy Sheehan, Bumblefoot, and Pat Travers, joined by an all-new wave of heavy hitters including Steve Morse, Eric Gales, Tracii Guns, Joe Lynn Turner, Rudy Sarzo, Alex Skolnick, and a whole lot more!

Antonio Carlos & Jocafi - Jazz is Dead 026 LP (Jazz is Dead)

Antonio Carlos & Jocafi, the legendary duo from Bahia whose music has embodied the soul of Brasil for over five decades, return with a bold new collaboration: Jazz Is Dead 026. Introduced to Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad by Beto Barreto of Baiana System, the meeting was instant magic. "The first time we met, it was like family," they recall. That kinship led Younge and Muhammad to invite the duo to Los Angeles, where they carried a handful of ideas and created new songs on the spot-an intuitive, improvisatory process that defines the Jazz Is Dead ethos. This collaboration stands not only as a continuation of their journey but also as a testament to the enduring power of Bahia's music - a sound that carries history, resistance, and joy in every beat. [Green vinyl pressing.]

Paul Cauthen - Book of Paul CD/LP (Velvet Rose Records)

A singer-songwriter with a well-documented distaste for playing by anyone else's rules, East Texas native Paul Cauthen spent two decades clawing his way through the country underground, embodying the independent spirit with a monolithic Big Velvet vocal. Fusing classic-country grit, gospel power, and a rhinestoned rock edge, four previous albums proclaimed his singular style with a booming baritone and near-biblical swagger. Cauthen's fifth album takes him further down his path of utterly authentic country music; fearless, proud, and with two middle fingers in the air. Co-writing 12 of 13 tracks, the troubadour confesses to his wild side and wrestles with the sin. He spares no detail - and makes no compromise. [Indie exclusive yellow vinyl pressing.]

Corrosion of Conformity - Good God / Baad Man CD/2xLP (Nuclear Blast)

Corrosion of Conformity's Good God / Baad Man captures the full spectrum of the band's legacy - from high-energy punk roots to swampy Southern grooves and heavy, riff-driven rock. Raw, dynamic, and unapologetically diverse, the album showcases every shade of the COC sound, delivering a hard-hitting ride that's as gritty as it is soulful.

Charley Crockett - Age of the Ram CD/LP/cassette (Island)

The two-time Grammy-nominated artist is back with Age of the Ram, the third and final installment of the Sagebrush Trilogy, co-produced by Shooter Jennings. Featuring 20 new recordings, Age of the Ram is the culmination of Charley's incredible sonic exploration, spanning three albums, resulting in Charley's most realized and compelling work to date. [Indie exclusive white vinyl pressing with alternate cover.]

The Droptines - Drought Flower LP (Big Loud Records)

The Droptines' new album, Drought Flower, is unfiltered and true to their gritty Texas roots. The 11-song collection was recorded at the legendary Arlyn Studios in Austin. Blurring the lines of Americana and rock n' roll, Drought Flower includes fan-favorites, "Take Too Much," "Tombstone," "Calling All Cars" (a rendition of the Mike McClure Band's 2008 song), a guest feature from Zandi Holup on "Town Near You," and more.

Elizabeth & the Catapult - Responsible Friend CD/LP (Compass Records)

Elizabeth Ziman is the singer-songwriter and creative force behind Elizabeth and The Catapult, known for her piano-driven compositions, sharp emotional insight, and disarming honesty, and who has built a career on songs that balance wit and vulnerability with striking precision. Responsible Friend is an album about the ways in which we show up for one another. What does it mean to be a responsible friend to be there for someone you love without trying to save them? Some of the songs on Responsible Friend are joyful dedications; others feel more like letters Elizabeth wasn't sure she wanted to send. Taken together, it's a record about slowing down in a world that keeps accelerating.

Elmiene - Sounds for Someone LP (Def Jam)

The debut album from Elmiene. With central pillars of grief, acceptance and love, encompassing both the personal and the universal, the album includes the raw recent single 'Cry Against the Wind' and honeyed meditation on self-isolation 'Reclusive'. Production comes from Sampha, Andrew Aged, Buddy Ross, NO ID, Ghostnote, Jeff 'Gitty' Gitelman and soul veteran Raphael Saadiq, with features from the latter alongside sultry new-gen vocal force Baby Rose. [Indie exclusive blue vinyl pressing.]

Good Kid - Can We Hang Out Sometime? CD/LP (Many Hats)

With four popular EPs under their belt, Good Kid's debut full-length, Can We Hang Out Sometime?, delivers the high-energy hooks and inventive riffs that have become a hallmark of their sound. Recorded in Los Angeles under the guidance of Grammy-winning producer John Congleton (known for working with the likes of St. Vincent, Wallows, and Lana Del Rey), the record expands Good Kid's sonic landscape into more playful and unfiltered places than ever before. [Pink in Pastel Blue Haze vinyl pressing.]

Good Tiger - The Most Negative Day of the Year LP (3Dot Recordings)

The 4th studio album from Good Tiger, comprised of guitarists Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, bassist Morgan Sinclair, drummer Alex Rüdinger and vocalist Elliot Coleman. With music instantly accessed at the touch of a button, it seems that the urge to pigeonhole bands as quickly and neatly as possible has been driven to ever more extremes in recent years. Good Tiger, however, forge their own path. Blending their influences in a manner that defies lazy classification sets them apart from their contemporaries, imbuing everything they do with a distinctive sound and feel.

Grade 2 - Talk About It LP (Epitaph)

British punk trio Grade 2 return swinging with Talk About It, their third and most blisteringly realized album, out on Tim Armstrong's storied Hellcat Records. It's an 11-track surge that fuses classic punk's bare-knuckle conviction with the disillusionment, identity crises, and quiet rage of Gen-Z-delivered by three Isle of Wight lifers who've been sharpening their edge since they first bashed out covers at 14. [Indie exclusive orange vinyl pressing.]

Luke Grimes - Red Bird LP (Mercury Nashville)

The sophomore album from the country singer-songwriter and actor. [Green vinyl pressing.]

Bruce Hornsby - Indigo Park CD (Zappo Productions)

Bruce Hornsby's latest album is a concept album of sorts, an extended multi-dimensional inquiry into the nature of aging and memory, often with a lightness of tone - the ways certain scenes linger placidly while others balloon into imagined catastrophe, the ways we remember and the ways we forget. Throughout, Hornsby contemplates moments from his deep past, sometimes trying to "resolve" them, other times looking for clues about his present-day outlook.

Irreversible Entanglements - Future Present Past CD/LP (Impulse)

Free jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements return with their second Impulse! Recording, Future Present Past. Largely recorded at the historic Van Gelder Studio, the album sees the quintet meld atmospheric jazz, global music traditions and spoken word into our shared story of existence - futures full of possibility, the present with all it's uncertainties, and pasts as wellsprings of ancestral wisdom.

Jnbo - Jnbo & Friends LP (Colemine)

Jnbo is the moniker assumed by Melbourne / Naarm-based composer, producer/engineer and bass player Henry Jenkins. Jenkins is known to most as the producer/engineer behind Surprise Chef, Karate Boogaloo, and the Grammy-nominated Frollen Music Library. Jnbo & Friends sees Jenkins turn his abilities to his own brilliant compositions. The album comprises 12 introspective instrumentals - deep, cinematic odysseys steeped in romance and sincerity, with an unmistakable 'freak funk bump'.

Dermot Kennedy - The Weight of the Woods CD/2xLP (Interscope)

The Weight of the Woods marks a defining evolution for Dermot Kennedy, grounding his global success in the spirit and emotional honesty of his Irish roots. A gifted singer, songwriter, and storyteller, Dermot sharpens his craft across Ireland and Nashville with producer Gabe Simon. [Indie exclusive green vinyl pressing.]

Knumears - Directions CD/LP/cassette (Run for Cover)

Knumears’ debut album, Directions, is equal parts love letter and cartography project, one that explores the deep history of the convoluted screamo/skramz/post-hardcore scene while creating an exciting blueprint for a new one. The result is an exceptionally urgent sounding album– even for a visceral genre like screamo. Knumears’ traffic in a sound that’s hyper-immediate yet notoriously difficult to define: it evolved from the primordial ooze of late ‘80s hardcore, earning the “post” signifier in the most literal way, then shifted in the ‘90s into something even more emotionally wrought and musically chaotic with bands like Heroin, Pg. 99, and Orchid. The sound evolved further with another boom in the late 2000s/early 2010s as Loma Prieta, Touche Amore, and more boiled the music into something more direct and even at times catchy in its own caustic way. [First Run Club orange & black marble vinyl pressing.]

Kronos Quartet - Glorious Mahalia CD/LP (Smithsonian Folkways)

Midway through Martin Luther King, Jr.'s historic speech at the 1963 March on Washington, a voice rang out from behind him: "Tell them about the dream, Martin!" That voice belonged to Mahalia Jackson, King's close friend and one of the most revered gospel singers of the 20th century. Glorious Mahalia, a visionary tribute to Jackson's life by the internationally renowned Kronos Quartet, uses that moment as a springboard to explore the depth of Jackson's musical craft and its impact on the Civil Rights Movement, including her relationship with Clarence Jones and Studs Terkel, other luminaries of the time. Featuring compositions by Stacy Garrop and Zachary James Watkins, a new arrangement of Jackson's astonishing version of the Antonio Haskell composition "God Shall Wipe All Tears Away," and archival audio of Jackson's voice, the album illuminates Jackson's historic artistry and advocacy.

Ella Mai - Do You Still Love Me? LP (Interscope)

Ella Mai returns with her third studio album, offering an intimate peek into her life and soulful journey through love from various points of view. Produced by Grammy-winner Mustard, the album highlights their evolving chemistry with fan favorites “Little Things,” “Tell Her,” and 12 new tracks. Ella invites listeners closer while cementing her place at the forefront of R&B. [Lemon yellow vinyl pressing.]

Makthaverskan - Glass and Bones LP (Welfare Sounds & Records)

Swedish post-punk outfit Makthaverskan return with their highly anticipated fifth album. Propelled by driving guitars, it channels the urgency of breaking free and taking back control. Makthaverskan have earned praise for their fiery live shows and are known for their blend of jangly dream pop, emotional intensity, and Maja Milneras unmistakable voice - "thin but strong, hitting a violent edge as easily as the flick of a butterfly knife." (Pitchfork)

Market East - French Street LP (Colemine)

The debut album from Market East is extremely soulful and the vocals are lush, like if the Zombies recorded at Muscle Shoals. The lyrics are poetic and nostalgic, as the group wrote songs about their bygone "golden" years. The three members of the band share a deep appreciation for all things 60s and 70s, from Simon & Garfunkel to The Moments, and everything in between, and now Market East has created a classic record of their own. From the baroque pop of the title track and the roaring soul of "Roses," to the Latin flavors of "Echoes of My Heart" and the orchestral flares of "Everyday, Springtime," Market East shows their impressive range. Recorded to analog tape in Philadelphia. [Paisley Peach color vinyl pressing.]

Memorials - All Clouds Bring Not Rain CD/LP (Fire Records)

Memorials jump off the waterslides and head above the clouds with their stunning second album. The duo of Verity Susman and Matthew Simms (formerly of Electrelane and Wire) locked themselves away in a studio in a barn secluded deep in the woods in southwestern France and re-emerged with a beautiful, unusual record that is both melodic and unconventional. Imagine Nico singing with Can produced by David Axelrod and you're somewhere in the right ballpark. The record draws inspiration from a wide range of music including folk, dub, post punk, experimental tape music, 60s soul, garage rock, 70s spiritual jazz and Canterbury prog. With their adventurous arrangements, classic songwriting skills and innovative production techniques, Memorials have created another mesmerizing listen that's accomplished and compelling in its unique approach yet remains dizzyingly immersive. [Indie exclusive yellow vinyl pressing.]

Moonchild - Waves CD/2xLP (Tru Thoughts)

With their first album since 2022, neo-soul group Moonchild enters a bold new chapter. A deeply personal and emotionally raw project, Waves explores themes of grief, healing, resilience, and self-worth, eschewing the love songs that once dominated their catalog. The project also marks a return to in-person collaboration and a new embrace of sampling and sonic experimentation. The result is an album that feels more vulnerable and grounded than ever, while still pushing the boundaries of their signature sound. [Amethyst color vinyl pressing.]

Arlo Parks - Ambiguous Desire LP (Transgressive)

The third album from twice Grammy-nominated, Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winning artist Arlo Parks. Ambiguous Desire is Parks at her most confident and experimental, supplanting live band sessions for modular synths, Ableton plugins and samplers that channel the frenetic, vibrant spaces she was immersed in, all while spotlighting the acclaimed poetry and lyricism she's beloved for. Reflecting on the making of the record, Parks shares, "I danced more than ever as I made this record. This record has desire at its centre. Desire is a life force, it's a wanting, a yearning, a momentum - we are all alive because there is something or someone we want - desire is an engine. But it is also mysterious, tangled, random, enlightening and HUMAN." [Indie exclusive blue marble vinyl pressing.]

Peach PRC - Porcelan LP (Casablanca)

The debut album from the Australian pop artist, Porcelain marks the most transformative chapter in Peach PRC's career to date. A body of work that bridges the ink Faerie world of Peach PRC with the raw humanity of Shaylee. [Mother of Pearl color vinyl pressing.]

Joe Pernice - Sunny, I Was Wrong CD/LP (New West)

Pernice has been catching songs for thirty years now, first with the alt-country legends Scud Mountain Boys and then with the indie-pop mainstays Pernice Brothers. In both of those groups he etched bittersweet stories out of songs that echo Jimmy Webb, Burt Bacharach, and Paul Williams. He's the rare artist who can record a Barry Manilow covers album that doesn't drip with condescension or irony. Sunny, I Was Wrong tallies up all of those things that do get away from us: friends and lovers we haven't seen in decades, old promises broken, cherished dreams forgotten, best-laid plans unrealized. [Indie exclusive autographed CD and vinyl editions. Blue & black splatter color vinyl pressing.]

Poison Ruin - Hymns from the Hills CD/LP (Relapse)

Poison Ruin return with their highly anticipated sophomore album, Hymns From the Hills. Building off the strengths of their existing oeuvre, the band has developed their signature approach to grim mythmaking and scythe-swinging aggression in bold new directions, offering up a new body of songs that strike one as equal parts natural, undeniably of this world, and phantasmal. ["Chainmail" silver color vinyl pressing.]

Naomi Scott - F.I.G. LP (Alter Music)

The debut album from the London-born singer, songwriter and artist. Produced by Lido (Jordan Ward, Ariana Grande, Aminé), 'F.I.G' is an artistically-rich, world-building body of work that reflects inspirations from across the soundscape of her life. From the soulful church music of her youth (Mary Mary, Kim Burrell), through to the '80s stars that populated her dad's Windows Media Player (Michael Jackson, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush), to the blog-era alt-pop heroes of her teens (Jessie Ware, Robyn et al), 'F.I.G' rings with the tantalising spectres of these influences but transports them somewhere thrillingly new.

Jack Studer - Falling Forward CD/LP (Gar Hole Records)

Originally from Philadelphia and currently based on the outskirts of Nashville, Studer has been honing his singular voice and guitar playing prowess for over a decade, touring with his long time friends the West King String Band and, more recently, performing with Nick Shoulders. Yet after traveling endless miles and countless stages, he still makes time to sing a song all his own. What lies beneath the warm melodies and placid surface is the true heart of Jack Studer, a well of mischievous wit and fearless introspection. Falling Forward, Jack's second album, is 13 tracks of slacker alt-country that binds traditional Nashville roots with contemporary indie rock sensibilities. Recorded live at his house and co-produced by Grant D’Aubin (Nick Shoulders, Willi Carlisle), the album blends folk-rock, classic country, and confessional americana with the craft of a genuine drifter and veteran sideman falling forward into his own.

Sunn O))) - Sunn O))) CD/2XLP (Sub Pop)

For nearly 30 years, Sunn O))) - Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson - have pushed the boundaries of heavy music, straddling the worlds of the avant-garde and rock to forge a style instantly recognizable as their own. Their tenth album and first full-length since 2019's Pyroclasts demonstrates the duo's mastery of time and space, light and dark, and their willingness to evolve their unmistakable sound into bold new forms. The compositions on Sunn O))) are expansive and panoramic yet finely detailed, reflecting the arboreal setting in which they were recorded. Amidst howling feedback and glacial crunch, one finds surprisingly delicate moments: a field recording of water trickles beneath, piano interludes lend a hushed, solemn feel. All while the duo attains fresh heights of telepathic intensity as they shape music that breathes the bracing, earthy air of the Pacific Northwest. [Loser Edition blue vinyl pressing.]

Thundercat - Distracted CD/LP (Brainfeeder)

Thundercat's latest album arrives 6 years to the day after release of his previous LP, the 2020 Grammy Award winning record It Is What It Is. Distracted was primarily created in close collaboration with a new creative partner for Thundercat - the super producer Greg Kurstin, known for his work with some of the biggest names in pop like Adele, Paul McCartney, Sia, Beyoncé, Beck and more. The record features 15 tracks and a host of exciting collaborators including Mac Miller, A$AP Rocky, Willow Smith, Tame Impala, Channel Tres, and production from Thundercat & Greg Kurstin, Flying Lotus, Kenny Beats & more. [Indie exclusive black marble smoke vinyl pressing.]

Zena - Temesgen LP (Brownswood)

The debut EP from Zena, the contemporary ethio-jazz duo from London comprised of producer, keyboardist and synth player Yohan Kebede and bassist/producer Menelik. Temesgen is a six-track aural odyssey that balances uncompromising experimentation with a deep sense of home, comfort, and exploration. Building upon the roots and foundations laid by legendary Ethiopian musicians Haliu Mergia, Alemayehu Eshete and Mulatu Astatke, Zena fuses the haunting spirituality and earthiness of the ethio-jazz tradition with a modernity, sensuality and sense of disruption that is distinctly London.

Reissues, Comps, Live Recordings, Vault Excavations...

The Beths - Expert in a dying field LP (Carpark)

On The Beths’ 2022 album Expert In A Dying Field, Elizabeth Stokes’ songwriting positions her somewhere between being a novelist and a documentarian. The songs collected here are autobiographical, but they’re also character sketches of relationships and more importantly, their aftermaths. The third LP from the New Zealand quartet houses 12 jewels of tight, guitar-heavy songs that worm their way into your head, an incandescent collision of power-pop and skuzz. ["Head in the Clouds" blue eco-mix vinyl.]

Bon Iver - Volumes: One (Selections From Music Concerts 2019-2023 6 Piece Band) CD/LP (Jagjaguwar)

VOLUMES: ONE, the first non-studio release from Bon Iver, captures 10 distinctive live performances, recorded between 2019 and 2023, showcasing Justin Vernon and his band at their most whole. For the uninitiated and die-hards alike, these recordings could well be the defining versions of the tracks, no doubt made possible through the essential live engineering of Xandy Whitesel and performances from bandmates Jenn Wasner, Sean Carey, Michael Lewis, Matthew McCaughan, and Andrew Fitzpatrick. VOLUMES: ONE, as a result, is something greater than a compilation or live album. It's entirely new but still familiar, offering a prismatic look at an old friend, seeing them for who they were and who they are, all the goodness of which they're capable but maybe too shy to show at times.

The Budos Band - The Budos Band LP (Daptone)

Marking its 20th anniversary in 2025, the eponymous debut album from Staten Island's finest is finally back in print. Housed in a deluxe "old style", tip-on jacket and sporting an all-analog (AAA) re-master from the original tapes–via Ryan Smith (Sterling Sound)–this iconic LP has never looked or sounded better. Featuring "Up From the South," and "Ghost Walk" this is essential listening for fans of Daptone and the Budos alike. [Indie exclusive lava red vinyl pressing.]

The Devil Wears Prada - 8:18 LP (Real Gone Music)

The Devil Wears Prada’s 2013 album 8:18 once again pulled off the neat trick of topping the Pop (#6), Metal (#2), and Christian (#1) charts (the title itself is a reference to the Bible verse Romans 8:18, which says that our present-day suffering pales next to the glory that is to come). Which kinda sums up TDWP’s appeal: what other band can shift so seamlessly from moments of visceral madness to spells of spiritual grace? 8:18 marked the swan song for founding band members Chris Rubey and Daniel Williams, and they certainly went out in style; the addition of some hardcore punk (“Black & Blue,” “Number Eleven”) and straight metal (“Rumors”) ingredients to TDWP’s melodic metalcore cauldron makes for a heady brew indeed. [Sea blue vinyl pressing.]

Die Kreuzen - October File LP (Touch & Go Records)

Formed in 1981 by two Rockford, Illinois, and two Brookfield, Wisconsin, natives in the midpoint of Milwaukee, Die Kreuzen (pronounced dee kroyt-zen) chose their name specifically to avoid stereotyping because "no one knows what it means. 'Die Kreuzen' roughly translates out of German meaning 'to intersect' or 'to hybridize,' which is exactly what they did on their five LP's for Touch and Go. Their self titled debut is considered one of the most seminal hardcore records of the early 80's. As far as October File is concerned, remember that flannel shirt movement in the 90's? This is what those guys were listening to.

Mohamed Doumbia - Enregistrement Live No Limit Bamako LP (Sahel Sounds)

Timeless throwback to the golden era of West African music, in a live recording of a little known bar band playing in contemporary Bamako, Mali that feels like an unearthed classic! This recording pays tribute to one of the most intoxicating and globally recognized genres from Mali: the West African “orchestras” from the late 1960s and 1970s. Blending soulful vocals, psychedelic infused solos, and invigorating rhythms, the golden age of Malian music gave rise to Salif Keita, Kante Manfila, and Mady Casse. Led by Mohamed Doumbia (of Orchestre Badema), the group plays weekly residencies at No Limit in Bamako - concerts that start well after midnight and continue for hours. Doumbia belts out unwavering vocals, voyaging through both classics and traditional epics in a hypnotic journey.

Dick Gaughan - Handful of Earth LP (Topic Records)

Widely hailed as one of the greatest folk albums ever recorded (fRoots Album Of The Decade 1980s), Dick Gaughan's Handful of Earth returns in a new heavyweight LP reissue. First released in 1981, the album captured Gaughan at the height of his powers, blending traditional Scottish and Irish songs with politically charged originals and his unmistakable open-tuned guitar style. With the reissue, listeners have the opportunity to rediscover this landmark album's raw emotional power, and the bite of songs like "The World Turned Upside Down" and "Workers' Song". The reissue presents the album not just as a historical artefact, but as a living work still resonant in a time of social struggle, economic uncertainty and devolved national identities.

Goat - World Music LP (Rocket Recordings)

When the mysterious masked collective calling themselves Goat first emerged in 2012, armed with an incendiary debut album ‘World Music’ – there was, and there still isn’t, anyone else on earth quite like them. With their enticing mythology, music full of sinuous grooves and manic explosions of fuzz, Goat were outliers from the very beginning. ‘World Music’ is brimming with tracks now seen as ‘classic’ Goat live favourites. Tracks that have been wowing audiences all over the world; the afrobeat stomp of ‘Disco Fever’, the fuzz abuse of ‘Goathead’, the post-punk groove of ‘Let it Bleed’, the sing-along pop of ‘Run to your Mama’...

Nightmares on Wax vs Adrian Sherwood - In a Space Outta Dub CD/LP (Warp Records)

An inspired coming together of musical minds. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of In A Space Outta Sound, George Evelyn aka DJ E.A.S.E has handed over the tapes to dub maestro Adrian Sherwood to go on a heady version excursion with eight tracks from the original record, in the spirit of the reggae and sound system roots that informed the original album. The result is a fresh take on a much-loved classic, in the lineage of albums such as Massive Attack’s No Protection and Spoon’s Lucifer On The Moon. Features bold new re-works of iconic tracks such as “You Wish” (appearing here as “You Bliss”) and “Flip Ya Lid” (mutated into “Flippin Eck”). As well as his trademark mixing desk wizardry, Sherwood has also brought in some of the core On-U Sound players to add additional instrumentation and turn this collaboration into something which is much more than the sum of its parts. [Light Rose colored vinyl pressing.]

A Place to Bury Strangers - Rare and Deadly LP (Dedstrange)

Rare and Deadly cracks open a decade-long vault of raw nerve and sonic chaos from A Place To Bury Strangers. Spanning 2015–2025, this collection of demos, B-sides, abandoned experiments, and forgotten fragments reveals the band at their most unfiltered—caught between breakthrough ideas and beautiful mistakes. Pulled from Oliver Ackermann’s personal archive of late-night recordings, blown-out tapes, and half-finished sessions, these tracks pulse with the unruly energy that has always defined APTBS, but here the interference is closer, the electricity more dangerous, the edges left jagged on purpose.

Charles Joseph Smith - Experimental Works and War of the Martian Ghosts 3xCD/2xLP (Sooper Records)

This double Vinyl / Triple CD Collector's Edition includes an extensive liner note booklet containing 9000 words about the artist's life and work, as well as poetry, interviews, quotes, and 30 archival photographs.

Tedeschi Trucks Band - Live Revelator LP (Real Gone Music)

Led by Susan Tedeschi’s soulful vocals and Derek Trucks’ flabbergastingly original, pick-free guitar work, the Tedeschi Trucks Band has parked its tour bus at that mythical crossroads between blues and rock, and over the course of 15 years cemented its claim as one of the greatest live bands in all of creation. Live Revelator was released in 2012 on limited-edition CD to promote TTB’s first studio album Revelator and to preview its upcoming double live album Everybody’s Talkin’; featuring the exclusive track “Don’t Let Me Slide,” it’s a single-LP sampling of the improvisational magic this band brings every night. And especially this band: because this is the early line-up boasting Dead & Co. bassist Oteil Burbridge and the late, great Kofi Burbridge on keyboards. [Fire orange with black swirl vinyl pressing.]

A timeless album reimagining their classic songs, marking the enduring growth of their musical journey. Features reimagined versions of hits and fan favorites from the years since their start in 1986.

Tom Tom Club - Tom Tom Club LP (Real Gone Music)

The Talking Heads spawned a number of worthy side projects and spinoffs, but none were as funky, danceable, and flat-out fun as Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth's Tom Tom Club. Conceived as something of a larkish break from the grandly realized intellectual and artistic pretensions of the Heads' Remain in Light record, the duo's self-titled 1981 debut was recorded in Barbados with Weymouth's sisters and Adrian Belew and Steven Stanley from the Remain in Light band, and not only spawned a couple of hit singles in "Genius of Love" and "Wordy Rappinghood" but also became, in its own way, enormously influential. This was the sound of downtown New York talking, listening, and rapping to the burgeoning hip hop movement, a hybrid heard in a whole host of acts in the '80s and '90s, from Madonna to Mariah Carey to the Beastie Boys and beyond. [Clear with pink, white, and green splatter vinyl pressing.]

Venetian Snares - Traditional Synthesizer Music (10th Anniversary Edition) 3xLP (Timesig / Planet Mu)

Traditional Synthesizer Music is a collection of songs created and performed live exclusively on the modular synthesizer by Aaron Funk. Each sound contained within was created purely with the modular synthesizer. No overdubbing or editing techniques were utilized in the recordings on this album. Each song was approached from the ground up and dismantled upon the completion of it's recording. The goal was to develop songs with interchangeable structures and sub structures, yet musically pleasing motifs. Many techniques were incorporated to "humanize" or vary the rhythmic results within these sub structures. An exercise in constructing surprises, patches interrupting each other to create unforeseen progressions. This tenth anniversary edition of Venetian Snares' Traditional Synthesizer Music adds ten bonus tracks and alternative versions originally available only on limited edition compact disc from the artist's Bandcamp. [Green, blue, & pink vinyl pressing.]
