New Releases

The Afghan Whigs - Fake Life / Downtown 7" (Shake It Records)

A super, limited edition, one & done pressing, from The Afghan Whigs featuring 2 exclusive covers that will NOT appear on an upcoming full-length. The AWs apply their take on indie soul to Polica's "Fake Like" and "Downtown" by Still Corners on the flip.

Amaarae - Black Star LP (Interscope)

The third studio album from the Ghanaian-American singer, and the follow-up to 2023's acclaimed Fountain Baby. [Limited edition gold vinyl pressing.]

Julianna Barwick & Mary Lattimore - Tragic Magic LP (Infine)

Having toured together over the years, Lattimore and Barwick now join forces to co-write and record this full-length album. Their creative synergy brings together harp, voice, and analogue synths in a deeply emotional, immersive sound journey. The album was recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris with co-producer Trevor Spencer (Fleet Foxes, Beach House). This album continues a unique series of collaborations between the label and the Musée de la Musique, featuring historical instruments in contemporary composition. [Forest green vinyl pressing.]

Bonnie "Prince" Billy - We Are Together Again CD/LP (No Quarter)

However dimly we perceive it, we are living through a change of worlds. The one we were born into is slipping away, reshaped and denuded by human action. What remains is the question of what we will carry forward, and how we will refuse to surrender ourselves. Will Oldham's new album, We Are Together Again, feels like an answer. In Oldham's songs - and in the circle of others gathered beneath the name Bonnie "Prince" Billy - friendship, community, and the stubborn joy of making art with others become a means of persistence. This isn't a denial of collapse, which would be delusion, but a kind of defiance: remaining fully human, fully joyful, in a world with a diminishing horizon. "We Are Together Again" was recorded at End of an Ear studios in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Brook & the Bluff - Werewolf CD/LP (Dualtone)

The Brook & the Bluff get back to their rock & roll roots with Werewolf. Heavily inspired by the band's live show, it's a transformative album that finds the road warriors turning up their amplifiers, speeding up their tempos, and howling at the moon in four-part harmony. The band channels the southern-fried sounds of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom Petty, Eagles, Little Feat, and other classic rock staples into new songs full of melody, muscle, and self-introspection. Recorded during a series of live-in-the-studio performances, Werewolf is the sound of a reinvigorated rock & roll band fueled by rediscovery, amplification, and a decade's worth of brotherhood. [Indie exclusive blue marble vinyl pressing.]

Cobrah - Torn LP (Atlantic)

Experimental pop provocateur Cobrah is back with her debut album, Torn, via Atlantic Records. Written and creative directed entirely by Cobrah herself, Torn matches her most vulnerable songwriting yet with cutting vignettes of provocative grandeur and high-impact production. With catwalk-ready basslines, clashing electronics, and hushed vocals, Torn is a multidimensional self-portrait that's at once raw and theatrical. [White vinyl pressing.]

Kashus Culpepper - Act I 2XLP (Big Loud Records)

The 18-song collection from acclaimed Southern crooner Kashus Culpepper, recorded in Muscle Shoals, channels all the Alabama-native's layered influences of country, folk, rock, blues and soul into a cohesive debut project for the ages. Featuring Grammy-winning collaborators Sierra Ferrell and Marcus King, Act I includes career defining lyrical masterworks like "After Me?," "Cherry Rose" and "Alabama Beauty Queen." Culpepper's husky, sandpaper growl bellows like a freight train over his self-penned stories that are as raw and real as they are haunting.

Denzel Curry & the Scythe - Strictly 4 the Scythe CD/LP (Loma Vista)

The Scythe is a collective of rappers united around commonality in sound and skills as MCs, headed by ringleader Denzel Curry and including familiar collaborators A$AP Ferg, Tia Corine, Bktherula, and Key Nyata. Combining Denzel's energetic style with classically gritty, southern sounds, the project centers hip-hop's core across eras, paying homage yet ushering in a rising new guard. [Indie exclusive tangerine color vinyl pressing.]

Daphni - Butterfly CD/2xLP (Jiaolong)

The fourth studio album from Dan Snaith (a.k.a. Caribou a.k.a. Daphni) and the follow-up to Cherry, the 2022 album released under his more dancefloor-oriented moniker. Though a sizeable gap for Daphni releases, between Cherry and Butterfly of course sits Honey, the latest Caribou album and one that saw the more instantaneous and dancefloor leaning traits of Daphni peeking through the cracks more than ever before. This blurring of the lines leads to an intriguing collaboration in Butterfly's lead single "Waiting So Long" (feat. Caribou). This new record also draws from further back with a definite kinship to the very first Daphni album, the invigorating bag of ideas that was Jiaolong. Butterfly is a showcase of the wonderful variety and surprising twists and turns that made that album such an exciting new prospect and that still to this day make Snaith such an intriguing DJ.

Fabiano do Nascimento & Vittor Santos Orchestra - Vila LP (Far Out Recordings)

A collaborative project between the Brazilian guitar virtuoso and a sixteen-piece orchestra led by trombonist and arranger Vittor Santos. Recorded between Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles, Vila is grand, tender, warm, playful and nostalgic. On this stunningly ambitious work, the delicate compositions led by Do Nascimento's guitar, which sits central in the mix, are surrounded by Santos' breathtaking orchestral arrangements which swirl in all directions: complimenting, questioning, responding; in constant conversation. Do Nascimento is known as a Brazilian acoustic guitar master and has collaborated with Arthur Verocai, Airto Moreira, and Itibere Zwarg; equally at home in Los Angeles's jazz and experimental music scenes, Do Nascimento is also known for his work with artists like Sam Gendel and Carlos Nino. Vittor Santos is an arranger and trombonist who has worked extensively with many of the greats of Brazilian music, including João Donato, Marcos Valle, Toninho Horta, and Elza Soares.

Flying Lotus - Big Mama LP (Brainfeeder)

The latest EP from the electronic artist and producer and his first to be released on his own label, delivering what FlyLo describes as an "experimental, maximalist, hyperfast, electronic burst of energy," with seven tracks acting as a single continuous composition. [Indie exclusive sky blue vinyl pressing.]

Lande Hekt - Lucky Now LP (Tapete Records)

Lande Hekt has quietly become one of the UK's best underground songwriters. Her music explores her queer identity, sobriety, and childhood trauma through the lens of heartfelt, conversational indie-pop, which has led to spots opening for the likes of Alvvays, Throwing Muses, and The Beths. Her new album was written and recorded with producer Matthew Simms (Wire, It Hugs Back) and reflects the most mature and confident version of Lande Hekt yet. Hekt's musical touchstones -- The Wedding Present, The Sundays, The Replacements -- remain the same, but at the same time she's delved deeper into other influences. Lucky Now is indebted to 1980s twee-pop and jangle-pop like The Pastels, Tallulah Gosh and The Bats, plus more modern iterations of the sound such as Autocamper and Jeanines, in its ecstatic, soaring melodies and gorgeous, tactile guitars.

Brian Jackson - EP Two 2xLP (BBE)

Jackson's latest EP features seven tracks, including reimagined and extended versions of classics such as Kenlou Cult Classic 'Moonshine', Jackson and Heron's 'Lady Day and John Coltrane', and 'Home Is Where the Hatred Is', plus a deep focus on 'Racetrack in France' - first recorded by Brian Jackson and Gil Scott-Heron in 1977 for their landmark Bridges album.

KMRU - Kin 2xLP (Editions Mego)

Kin is Kenyan born, Berlin-based sonic wizard Joseph Kamaru's second release on Editions Mego, following on from the classic 2020 release Peel. Since the release and subsequent praise for Peel, the artist has been a staple on the electronic scene performing on numerous stages and festivals worldwide in tandem with a flood of media recognition. The charms within Kin lay as Easter eggs, revealing the true identity behind the colorful sonics only after multiple deep listens. "With Trees Where We Can See" sets the tone by way of a warm swaying melody inviting the listener in for further investigation. In 2022 KMRU and Mego stalwart Fennesz toured the USA together resulting in a strong friendship and also, the second track here, "Blurred," which arranges twangy guitar strums alongside glistening glaciers of shimmering drones. Kin is a trip that rewards close repeated listens as all the colors and textures, nuance and narratives unveil themselves.

Landowner - Assumption LP (Exploding in Sound Records)

Western Massachusetts band Landowner play abrasively clean minimalist punk. The guitars “slap hard” without using any distortion or effects, the rhythm section is tight, fast, and repetitious, and the song structures make space for lyrics that reflect on the global systems and dark absurdities our lives are tangled in. Comparisons could be made to The Fall, Lungfish, or Uranium Club, but across their five albums, they make it clear: Landowner just sound like Landowner.

Marlon Magnée - Dark Star CD/LP (Disque Pointu)

After fifteen years touring the world with La Femme, Marlon Magnée now returns as a solo artist with a debut album that reconnects him to his earliest passions. The record reflects his taste for unusual blends and singular styles: a mix of rockabilly, punk, cold wave, and psychedelic psychobilly. The tracks, sung in both French and English, draw on sixties guitars, an "orgy of synths" straight out of the eighties, pounding drum machines, analog delays, and a deliberately raw energy. Co-produced with Renaud Letang (Feist, Manu Chao, Peaches) at the legendary Ferber Studio in Paris, this first solo effort marks a true return to Marlon's roots - and forcefully announces the comeback of rock in today's musical landscape.

Morrissey - Make-Up is a Lie CD/LP (Sire)

Singer/songwriter Morrissey, formerly of The Smiths, returns with his 14th solo album and follow-up to 2020's I Am Not a Dog on a Chain. [Indie exclusive red vinyl pressing.]

Shane Parish - Autechre Guitar 2xLP (Palilalia)

A collection of radical reinterpretations of tracks from the melodic golden age (i.e. 1990s) of Autechre's often inscrutable electronic productions, performed on solo guitar. Shane has done a remarkable job of capturing those melodies and translating them for the steel strings of his Taylor 214E-G. Anyone who knows Autechre’s “Bike,” a dreamy highlight of their debut album, will instantly recognize the melody Shane has pulled out of it, high notes drizzling down like raindrops on the windshield while octaves in the bass swish back and forth, steady as wipers. Autechre Guitar works on multiple levels. It’s a celebration of Autechre’s music, shining a spotlight on the durability and flexibility of their songwriting. At the same time, it’s an invitation to listen deep inside the music, to take part as active listeners in the process of translation and interpretation.

Jordan Patterson - The Hermit LP (Miscellaneous)

Jordan Patterson's 2025 debut album, available on vinyl for the first time. North Carolina-born and LA-raised Jordan Patterson is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter/producer creating catharsis from a folk and alternative landscape. Blunt, raw, and decisive, Patterson is creating a world within her self-recorded and produced songs. Her connection to the unfinished represents no better reflection of who she is as an artist, "in progress." [Brown vinyl pressing.]

The S.E.T. - Self Evident Truth CD/12"/cassette (Flatspot Records)

Out of Baltimore, Maryland comes The S.E.T. who are crafting 100% unapologetic hardcore music. Formed between bassist Che (founder of Flatspot Records), guitarist Brady (formerly of Turnstile), and drummer Ryan (formerly of End It), the band started through jam sessions in early 2024. Before they knew it, they had instrumentals for seven songs written and were ready to put lyrics to the tracks, and the search for a vocalist began. Che spotted Tim hopping on stage and grabbing the microphone at Disturbin' The Peace Festival, invited him to try out for vocalist, and The S.E.T. was then complete. Their debut EP is 15 minutes of fury and groove, taking cues from Baltimore acts such as Gut Instinct (whose Sebastian Gorgone features on "White Lies") and Stout and the crossover sounds of New York like Leeway and Judge.

Walter Smith III - Twio 2 CD (Blue Note Records)

For his third Blue Note album, tenor saxophonist Walter Smith III reprises his Twio concept with a highly enjoyable Vol. 2, a set of classic jazz songs that exudes a playful sense of joyful freedom. The album features a new cast of musicians including bassist Joe Sanders and drummer Kendrick Scott, plus special guest appearances by eminent elders Ron Carter on bass and Branford Marsalis on tenor saxophone.

Squeeze - Trixies LP (BMG)

The new studio album by Squeeze could have been their very first record. Written by Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook when they were just 19 and 16 respectively, Trixies is a concept album born of imagination and nostalgia. Inspired by a fictional members' club dreamt up in the early '70s and imagined as existing in the "future" (the '80s), the album channels a world reminiscent of a '20s or '30s speakeasy - glamourous, smoky, and populated by colorful characters. Although the album was demo-ed at the time it was never released, and only revisited decades later. Now, the record is fully realized with today's musicianship and production, combining teenage brilliance with seasoned artistry. [Transparent pink vinyl pressing.]

Harry Styles - Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally CD/LP (Columbia)

The fourth studio album by the Grammy-award winner and former member of One Direction. Executive produced by Kid Harpoon. Indie exclusive vinyl edition includes 1 of 3 12x24" posters and 12-page booklet with lyrics and photos.

$uicideboy$ - Thy Will Be Done CD/LP (G*59 Records)

The duo's sixth album blends their signature hard-hitting, gritty sound with deeply personal reflections on life before and after sobriety, before and after finding God, and the ongoing tension between fame, money, and family.

Brit Taylor - Land of the Forgotten CD/LP (Cut a Shine Records)

On her 2026 album, Land of the Forgotten, Brit Taylor takes us to her much discussed and misunderstood homeland, Appalachia, with songs that reveal the complex heart and complicated people of the place. Taylor is an accomplished singer-songwriter who has been performing professionally since she was a child. She has always taken the bull by the horns; Taylor has spent seven nights a week singing on Broadway, cold-called record execs, and she even formed a cleaning business to help finance her first album, Real Me, on which Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) co-wrote five of the songs. Only three years later she found herself being produced by two of the most sought-after producers in Nashville: Grammy winners Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson. Since then she has made her Grand Ole Opry debut, gained a devoted following as she toured the whole country, and garnered praise from the likes of NPR, Billboard, Rolling Stone, and American Songwriter.

Temple of Void - The Crawl LP (Relapse)

Critically acclaimed Death Metal force Temple of Void return with their 2026 album, The Crawl. The caveman brawn of previous albums, namely Summoning the Slayer (2022), remains, but there's a wider dynamic on the group's fifth full-length album at play. Now a quartet-featuring guitarist Alex Awn, drummer Jason Pearce, vocalist/guitarist Mike Erdody, and bassist Justin Malek-the Michiganders aren't shying away from their non-metal influences, seeking greater integration of grunge and post-punk with their brutish signature. The Crawl isn't just Temple of Void evolved, it's a harbinger of death metal to come. [Limited edition blue marble vinyl pressing.]

Reissues, Comps, Live Recordings, Vault Excavations...

A Perfect Circle - Mer de Noms 2xLP (Virgin)

The debut album from the rock band formed by Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan, originally released in 2000. RSD Essential release. Limited edition orange with black, white, and yellow splatter vinyl pressing.

Luciano Cilio - Dialoghi Del Presente LP (Superior Viaduct)

A reissue of the 1977 release from the virtuoso guitarist and self-taught composer from Italy. Produced by Renato Marengo, it features a series of muted tableaux for strings, woodwinds, guitar, chorus, piano and percussion. Cilio carves out a space where subtle, repetitive phrases yield-almost imperceptibly-to breathtaking silence. While each subsequent "quadro" grows slightly more abstract, Cilio draws the listener into an expansive, pastoral soundscape. The closing piece, "Interludio," begins with a plaintive guitar, which is joined by haunting strings and woodwinds before concluding, poignantly, as the album began, with Cilio and his guitar, alone once more. Recommended for fans of Johann Johannsson, Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden, Arvo Part and Popol Vuh.

The Donnas - Spend the Night LP (Real Gone Music)

The Donnas' major label debut for the Atlantic label, 2002's Spend the Night was by far the band's most popular album, hitting 62 on the Billboard charts, but it wasn't just the major label distribution mojo that upped the sales. This record doesn't have a dud on it, and boasts such Donnas devastators as "Who Invited You," "Take It Off," "You Wanna Get Me High," and "Pass It Around." This reissue also includes "Big Rig," which was on the original LP release but got left off the CD, and the insert featuring lyrics and a Freddy Krueger guest appearance. [Clear with canary and pink splatter color vinyl pressing.]

Simon Franglen - Avatar: Fire and Ash O.S.T. LP (Hollywood Records)

The soundtrack to the latest film in the Avatar series includes the score composed by Simon Franglen. as well as “Dream as One” performed by Miley Cyrus. Godsmack - Awake CD (Universal)

25th anniversary edition of Godsmack's smash album, Awake. This limited edition CD features a special holographic lithograph and 5 bonus tracks. Following their multiplatinum major label debut in 1998, Godsmack returned in 2000 with Awake, another multiplatinum album that exceeded fans' expectations with hits like "Bad Magick," "Awake," and "Greed."

Various Artists - Hannah Montana (Songs From and Inspired by the Hit TV Series) LP (Walt Disney Records)
Various Artists - Hannah Montana 2 (Original Soundtrack) LP (Walt Disney Records)

Color vinyl reissues of the soundtracks from the first two seasons of Hannah Montana, starring Miley Cyrus.

Grateful Dead / John Oswald - Grayfolded 3xLP (Important Records)

In 1993, Canadian composer John Oswald was invited by Phil Lesh to transform historical recordings of the Dead into something new, along the lines of what they had attempted in their Anthem of the Sun album. Oswald chose to focus on the Dead's Dark Star, which, over the course of a quarter century, they had expanded and transformed in myriad ways in live performances. Oswald was given access to the Vaults, where over the course of a month, with the guidance of the Dead's resident archivist Dick Latvala, he collected 105 performances, which through the following year he formed, folded, fondled, and finessed into a kaleidoscopic unstuck-in-time documentary of the Grateful Dead in some of their most psychedelic, symphonic, and rocking excursions -- a singular 110-minute fantasy performance. This deluxe vinyl edition of The Grateful Dead's Grayfolded was pressed at Optimal in Germany, known for their high-end audiophile pressings.

Robert Green - The Green House LP (Ally Records)

Coming just on the heels of the release of The Bats new LP, Corner Coming Up (Flying Nun), earlier this year, Ally Records releases a remastered version of Robert Scott's (Electric Blood, The Clean, The Bats, The Magick Heads) stellar solo LP The Green House. Originally released by Flying Nun in 2014, but out of print on vinyl for several years and not widely available in the US. Upon the initial release of The Green House, seasoned veteran NZ musical journalist Graham Reid described it as capturing Robert "at yet another career peak in melodic songs which only rarely allude to the acoustic or rock chug of his other bands but mostly turns attention towards deftly tuneful songs" with descriptions ranging from dreamy to ethereal to timeless.

Imogen Heap - Speak for Yourself (20th Anniversary Remaster) CD (Megaphonic)

Originally self-released in 2005, Speak for Yourself is the fiercely inventive second album by Imogen Heap-written, produced, recorded, and mixed entirely by Heap herself. A true one-woman operation, it marked a defining moment in independent music: genre-blurring, emotionally rich, and technically daring. Now, twenty years on, this landmark record returns in a fully remastered 20th anniversary edition. Remastered in close collaboration with Heap's longtime friend and mastering engineer Simon Heyworth, this edition captures the full depth and nuance of the original recordings with unparalleled clarity and warmth.

Julius Hemphill - Dogon A.D. LP (Superior Viaduct)

Julius Hemphill's debut record, 1972's Dogon A.D., was self-produced for his Mbari imprint, and it was issued with a beautiful black-and-white cover. It's a quartet record featuring Hemphill on alto and flute, with Baikida Carroll on trumpet, Abdul Wadud on cello, and Phillip Wilson on drums - a classic jazz front line/rhythm section format, but nothing conventional about the way the music sounds. The long track - from which the LP takes its title - is one of the key epic statements of new jazz in the era. Among its remarkable distinctions, it manages to draw on Wilson's schizoid experience having been a member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and the first drummer for the Art Ensemble of Chicago, in making an 11/8 rhythm into a staggeringly funky thing of joy.

Ernie Hines - Electrified LP (Real Gone Music)

Ever since Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth sampled Ernie’s anthemic “Our Generation” on their 1992 chart-topper “Straighten It Out” (and then John Legend and The Roots covered the song in 2010), 1972’s Electrified has been one of the most collectible releases of its era. “Our Generation” is justly famous, a masterpiece of socially conscious ‘70s gospel-inflected soul, but the rest of the record isn’t far from the high standard set by that song, with “Sugar Plum (Gimme Some)” “Your Love (Is All I Need),” and the original version of The Temprees’ “Explain It to Her Mama” the particular highlights. Exquisite production from the We Produce label’s Jo Bridges and Tom Nixon, too. [Magenta vinyl pressing.]

Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians - Globe of Frogs CD/LP (Tiny Ghost)

Robyn Hitchcock's 1998 major label debut, Globe of Frogs, has been newly remixed from the original tapes by Brad Jones and Robyn Hitchcock at Alex the Great Studios in Nashville. The album was also remastered last summer by John Baldwin at Infrasonic Sound. Pressed on limited edition green vinyl, Globe of Frogs is housed in deluxe gatefold sleeve packaging, with a booklet that features all the album lyrics, plus an essay by Robyn Hitchcock.

Noah Howard - The Black Ark LP (Superior Viaduct)

In the pantheon of classic free jazz, Noah Howard's The Black Ark looms large. Recorded at Bell Sound Studios in New York City in 1969, just prior to the alto saxophonist's relocation to Europe, the album was eventually released in 1972. The Black Ark exhibits not only the power and imagination of Howard's playing, but also his breadth as a composer and bandleader. Listeners expecting unrelenting blasts of "energy music" might be surprised to find a cohesion atypical of free jazz; amidst the wild, impassioned solos, Howard weaves in Latin rhythms and fat-bottomed grooves. Every bit worthy of its reputation as an "out-jazz" holy grail, The Black Ark only sounds better with age.

Mississippi John Hurt - Live at Oberlin College CD/2xLP (Southern Echoes)

In 1965, at the height of the American folk revival, Mississippi John Hurt took the stage at Oberlin College and delivered a warm, intimate performance that captured the heart of country blues fans. With his gentle voice, wry humor, and masterful fingerpicking, Hurt offered a rare glimpse into the roots of American music. Now available on vinyl as the full set for the first time in six decades, this deluxe 60th anniversary edition is fully remastered and pressed on heavyweight colored vinyl with insightful liner notes and estate commentary. [Translucent turquoise vinyl pressing.]

Macha & Bedhead - Macha Loved Bedhead - Bedhead Loved Macha LP (Numero)

A eulogy to a band and a millennium, the year 2000's collaborative Macha Loved Bedhead has been remastered from the original analog tapes and finally makes its way to the mother format. Recorded long distance by Wichita Falls-born brothers Matt and Bubba Kadane and Josh and Mischo McKay, this five-song, 34-minute EP combines gamelan, slowcore, and a cover of Cher's "Believe" pecked out on a touch tone phone into a seamless meditation on life at the end of the American century. [White vinyl pressing.]

Machine Gun Kelly - Tickets to My Downfall (All Access) 2xCD (Interscope)

To celebrate the 5-year anniversary of his blockbuster album Tickets To My Downfall, mgk presents a 2 CD extended version featuring 12 bonus tracks, including 5 previously unreleased songs recorded during the original album's era. Executive produced by Travis Barker, these tracks are a true extension of the era-defining record, offering fans a glimpse into the creative vault, and showcasing the same irreverent spirit that fueled mgk's career evolution.

Obituary - Slowly We Rot LP (Real Gone Music)

Reissue of the debut album from the influential death metal band out of Tampa. The now-legendary savagery of 1989's Slowly We Rot evoked reactions such as Ozzy Osbourne's exclamation that "They're f*king mad!" to journalist Phil Alexander's proclamation in the pages of RAW that it was "The type of album that'll make you froth at the mouth." Adding to its landmark status is the fact that SWR was the first record produced by soon-to-be go-to death metal producer Scott Burns. For its first-ever U.S. vinyl reissue, the album has been remastered for the format and rounded out with two bonus tracks (demo versions of "Find the Arise" and "Like the Dead"). [Corpse Blue with Blood Splatter color vinyl pressing.]

The Tony Rice Unit - Manzanita LP (Real Gone Music)

Guitarist and vocalist Tony Rice was at the center of some of the most celebrated albums in modern bluegrass, and this 1979 release featuring his rotating band “The Tony Rice Unit” (here featuring Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Douglas, Todd Phillips, and Sam Bush, with a few Dave Grisman cameos), ranks right at the top. The title cut is an instant classic, but Rice’s ever-unerring taste in covers (like Merle Travis’ “Nine Pound Hammer” and yet another great Gordon Lightfoot tune, “Home from the Forest”), all played with a deep respect for tradition but incorporating jazz and folk influences, make Manzanita an absolute delight. [Root Beer color vinyl pressing.]

Elliott Smith - Division Day / No Name #6 7" (Suicide Squeeze)
Elliott Smith - Pretty (Ugly Before) / A Distorted Reality is a Necessary to Be Free 7" (Suicide Squeeze)

Color vinyl reissues of the singer-songwriter's 1997 and 2003 singles.

Talking Heads - Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live 3xCD/LP+7" (Rhino)

Talking Heads members Chris Frantz and David Byrne met as students at Rhode Island School of Design and made music in a college band called The Artistics. In spring semester 1974, the band gathered in Frantz's Benefit Street apartment to record a demo tape. The cassette featured tracks soon to be classics in The Talking Heads discography: "Warning Sign" and "Psycho Killer." This collection includes this newly discovered material alongside additional demo and live tracks recorded by the original trio lineup of the band (Bassist Tina Weymouth alongside Frantz and Byrne) in 1975 and 1976. 3 CD edition features the first official release of the band's demo session for CBS/Columbia Records in 1975, as well as rare live recordings of the original trio lineup in 1976 and 1977.

Various Artists - Teenbeat Mayhem - Deserve to Be Heard CD (Gear Fab Records)

This ultra-rare (200 copies pressed) 1971 private New Jersey pressing has been out of print since 2005. Featuring Spacey female vocals, heavy organ and fuzzed out guitars. Featuring 7 previously unreleased and alternate versions!!

Tennis - Yours Conditionally LP (Mutually Detrimental)

The fourth album from the critically acclaimed group Tennis, originally released in 2017. The record was composed both on land and at sea during a five-month sailing trip through the Sea of Cortez. Upon returning, Tennis' husband-and-wife team of Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore self-produced the record in a small cabin in Fraser, CO. It was mixed by Spoon's Jim Eno at Public HiFi. [Sea green vinyl pressing.]

Testament - Souls of Black LP (Nuclear Blast)

Souls of Black (1990) is Testament's fourth studio album, a thrash metal statement that blends razor-sharp riffs, socially conscious lyrics, and a darker, more refined production style. Showcasing the band's technical precision and Chuck Billy's commanding vocals, the album delivers standout tracks like the title cut "Souls of Black" and "Face in the Sky," tackling themes of corruption, injustice, and personal struggle. With its tight musicianship and accessible yet aggressive sound, it bridges Testament's underground roots with broader metal appeal, making it a must-have for fans seeking both intensity and substance. [Red & black splatter vinyl pressing.]

Gregory Uhlmann - Extra Stars LP (International Anthem)

Gregory Uhlmann’s solo debut on International Anthem is a deep and gorgeous expansion of the LA-based multi-instrumentalist producer / composer’s rhythmic ambient side, as nascently explored in his much-lauded duo with Meg Duffy, his trio work with Josh Johnson and Sam Wilkes, and in the gentler moments of SML (the improvising trance-jazz unit of which he is a member). A radiant sidereal serenade, the album’s fourteen miniature infinities swirl serendipitous synthesis and measured, melody-rich song into a panoramic menagerie of sound. ["Star Dust" color vinyl pressing.]

Void - Live 1982 LP (Outer Battery)

Roaring out of the vaults after 40+ years, Void - Live 1982 captures DC's most volatile and energetic band at their peak and sounds just as fresh and urgent as the day it was recorded. The A-side is from the Wilson Center in April of 1982, on a bill with Minor Threat and the Faith. Recorded just a few months before the legendary Faith/Void LP was released, this set is packed with hardcore classics like Ignorant People and Who Are You? The B-Side is from a show at DC's legendary 9:30 Club with Negative Approach, and mixes hardcore gems like Time To Die and Organized Sports with newer, metal-tinged tracks like Bloodlust that would lay the groundwork for a whole new genre. [Clear vinyl pressing.]

Ellen Woloshin - Bests CD (Surely Music)

A comprehensive collection of standouts from the singer-songwriter. Featuring two new tracks and eleven songs from her albums Tried & True, Water into Wine and Pop Torch, which won "Best Contemporary Pop Album" at the 2023 Nashville Music Awards. Ellen has written songs for artists like Dionne Warwick and LaToya Jackson and performs in New York City, Los Angeles, and Nashville.
