Anna Calvi - Is This All There Is? 12" (Domino)
Is This All There Is? is the first installment in a trilogy of records which explore identity as a metamorphosis. Following her work scoring the final two seasons of Peaky Blinders and composing an opera with visionary director Robert Wilson, Calvi returns with an EP that plays like a cinematic soundscape — a four-song film arc populated by vivid characters. Her collaborators on this EP — Iggy Pop, Laurie Anderson, Perfume Genius, Matt Berninger — all share a singularity of vision. On this EP their voices become characters in the story, actors in the world she’s creating. [Red vinyl pressing.]
Colleen - Libres Antes del Final LP (Thrill Jockey)
The compositions of Colleen, aka multi-instrumentalist Cécile Schott, are as richly varied as they are precise. Each of Colleen's albums are shaped by her predetermined distinct instrumentation and parameters, including works composed entirely of music boxes, pocket synthesizers, and antiquated stringed instruments. Schott composed and performed Libres on the Moog Matriarch, centering the record on a pulse-driven, bubbling energy with constant momentum. She then reamped the music in one of her favorite spaces in Barcelona, Casa Montjuic, accentuating the album’s sense of movement. [Indie exclusive cloud vinyl pressing.]
Luke Combs - The Way I Am CD/2xLP (Sony Nashville)
The Way I Am is a 22-song collection that showcases everything that makes Combs unmistakable: from his raw, resonant voice and masterful storytelling to songs that balance heartfelt vulnerability with anthemic energy. The album dives deeper than ever into the life behind the spotlight, exploring the push and pull of fatherhood and the challenge of balancing family and career, self-belief, the quiet battles of mental health, and the clarity that comes from remembering what truly matters. The Way I Am captures Luke Combs as a generational talent at the peak of his craft and as a global musical force that comes along once in a lifetime.
El Michels Affair - 24 Hr Sports (Instrumental) LP (Big Crown)
The roster of vocal features on 24 Hr Sports is amazing, Clairo, Norah Jones, Florence Adooni, Shintaro Sakamoto, two different choirs, and even some singing from the man himself, Leon Michels. But there's a new energy that shows up in the listen when you pair it down to the impeccable musicianship and Leon's tried and true "Midas Touch" production. Leon plays a ton of instruments across the album and is joined by the regular cast of heavy hitters; Homer Steinweiss, Nick Movshon, Dave Guy, Marco Benevento, Hether, and more. [Green vinyl pressing.]
Avalon Emerson & the Charm - Written Into Changes LP (Dead Oceans)
Multi-hyphenate musician Avalon Emerson sounds at home harnessing the steady flux of her existence on Written into Changes, the memoiristic second album released under her Avalon Emerson & the Charm moniker. While the collaborative creation of Written into Changes diverged considerably from Emerson's dancefloor-tailored solo productions, the influence of dance music is splashed all over it. Emerson was fixated on her music's low end as she crafted it. The resulting body of work is band-driven but groove-heavy and dance-adjacent. The break-beat-assisted "Eden" has a "baggy" sound that's reminiscent of dance-rock hybrids of the late '80s and early '90s. The witty "How Dare This Beer" was written in loving tribute to the Magnetic Fields. "'87 to '94 is my idea of the best era of music," says Emerson. [Red vinyl pressing.]
Erra - Silence Outlives the Earth CD (UNFD)
The metalcore giants out of Birmingham return with their 7th studio album.

John Hollier & The Rêverie - Rainmaker CD (Whollyabar)
John Hollier (pronounced OH-LEE-AY) is a powerful new folk rock artist with French-Cajun roots, blending rock and roll, heartland grit, cinematic storytelling, and southern country soul. His twelve-track album reflects his Louisiana upbringing on a crawfish farm, exploring love and heartache through raw, live energy and vivid narratives. John Hollier & The Rêverie features Hollier alongside Teddy Thibedoux Jones (sax), Zachary Scott Kline (lead guitar), Ray Akers (bass), and Brian Cox (drums).
Whitney Johnson, Lia Kohl, & Macie Stewart - Body Sound LP (International Anthem)
A trio of improvisers individually rooted in deep sound exploration, multi-disciplinary composition, and all manner of cross-genre collaboration. The musical ground covered by their solo practices is correspondingly expansive, and their individual credits read as a veritable who's who, ranging from DIY darlings to household names of experimental avant-garde, electronic, indie rock, and more. Their collective sound is based in improvised performance-automatic, intuitive composition via their three voices and three string instruments: viola, cello, and violin, respectively. As a recording unit, the trio hones and transforms their performance concept with careful post-production, using multiple tape machines and outboard effects to reimagine their improvised material into meticulously crafted compositions.
Ladytron - Paradises CD/LP (Nettwerk)
The iconic and influential electronic pop group returns with a new album 'Paradises' - their first since 2023's critically acclaimed 'Time's Arrow'. Spanning dance and indie movements since their formation in Liverpool at the end of the last millennium, Ladytron have earned a unique position by carving out new sonic and conceptual space. In the early 2000s, the fiercely individual group were placed at the forefront of the so-called electro-clash scene (which now enjoys another revival), and the new album follows a period of renewed cultural presence for the band. Their 2002 single "Seventeen" unexpectedly went viral on TikTok, introducing Ladytron's sound to a new generation and amassing hundreds of thousands of fan-made clips. Their legacy was further acknowledged recently with "Destroy Everything You Touch," one of their most celebrated tracks, featured in the Grammy-nominated soundtrack of cult movie Saltburn, reaffirming Ladytron's enduring appeal. [Indie exclusive green marble pressing.]
W.D. Miller - Child of the Kindly South LP (Think Like a Key)
Child of the Kindly South finds WD Miller digging deep into Southern storytelling, pairing lived-in songwriting with a warm, unforced Americana sound. Recorded in Lexington, Kentucky, the album balances reflection and restraint - songs about love, loss, family, and redemption told without spectacle or excess. Produced, engineered, and mixed by J. Tom Hnatow (John R. Miller, Ringo Starr) and mastered by Justin Perkins, the record leans into clarity and space, letting the songs breathe. [Green vinyl pressing.]
The Montvales - Path of Totality LP (Free Dirt Records)
Conceived under eclipsed skies, Path of Totality, the new album from The Montvales, unites the vast American diaspora into one collective and cosmic tapestry. Inspired by the long tradition of radical country and folk artists, longtime friends Sally Buice and Molly Rochelson use their passion for literature and storytelling to craft an album that reckons with the current global fever pitch. The album's 12 introspective, thematically and sonically layered tracks chart a transformative pilgrimage through an inextricably connected world. Produced by Eli LoPinto (Chris Stapleton), the duo opted for a bigger sound and the result is a bonafide, left-of-center indie country record. Path of Totality does not shy away from the weight of political strife and catastrophe, opting instead to boldly confront it, bringing to bear the power to unite us all.
more eaze - sentence structure in the country LP (Thrill Jockey)
more eaze is the moniker of Brooklyn-based composer, orchestrator, and multi-instrumentalist, mari maurice. A renowned collaborator both in performance and on recordings, maurice’s own work is a reflection of her curious and explorative musical mind, encompassing entire spectrums of sound from a wide sonic pallet of electro-acoustic textures, folk traditions, and pop forms that pirouette into fully realized ecosystems. sentence structure in the country is a definitive statement of the matchless quality of more eaze’s skill as player and musical thinker, a collection of compositions, each beautifully realized as self-contained worlds. maurice's music holds a density not only in the lush compositions and embellishing flourishes, but also for those moments of spare, minimalist beauty. sentence structure in the country is a textural marvel, a mosaic of ethereal electronics and loamy acoustics sculpted around deeply moving, enduring songs.
Anthony Naples - In Studio Magic LP (ANS Recordings)
The New York-based electronic/dance producer returns with his seventh full length album, In Studio Magic, comprised of ten new songs.
Aaron Shaw - And So It Is LP (Leaving Records)
Debut album by LA saxophonist / flautist co-produced by Carlos Niño documents a transformative recovery from major illness. By no means a secret, but certainly in the category of IYKYK, saxophonist/flautist Aaron Shaw is one of Los Angeles's brightest young jazz musicians. A player's player, and frequent fixture at The World Stage in Leimert Park, Shaw has collaborated with the likes of Anderson Paak, Dave Chapelle, Herbie Hancock, Mary J. Blige, and Shawn Mendes.
Son Little - Cityfolk CD (Anti)
Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Son Little expands his musical palette on his upcoming album, Cityfolk. Blending elements of soul, folk, and blues, Son Little captures his signature sound along with expressive yet personal lyrics. Cityfolk is a reflection on love, loss, and finding peace in the chaos. It's about holding on, letting go, and learning to breathe again when the world feels heavy.
Hayato Sumino - Chopin Orbit 2xLP (Masterworks)
Following the success of his acclaimed Sony debut Human Universe, Hayato Sumino returns with Chopin Orbit, a conceptually rich and emotionally resonant album that places the music of Frédéric Chopin at its center. Chopin, Sumino's favorite composer, has long been a gravitational force in his artistic life. This unique collection features Sumino's original compositions inspired by Chopin's masterpieces, not as imitations but as creative echoes-melodies and motifs reimagined through the lens of a 21st century classical artist. - Included are pieces such as Chopin's Polonaise-Fantasie op. 61, Nocturne in C-sharp minor, Berceuse, and Raindrop Prelude, alongside Hayato's original works White Keys and Post Rain. Also featured are works by Thomas Adès, Leopold Godowsky, and Leoš Janáček-highlighting Chopin's influence across generations.
Tedeschi Trucks Band - Future Soul CD/LP (Fantasy)
With Future Soul, Tedeschi Trucks Band push their sound forward while staying firmly rooted in the soul, blues, and rock that define them. Produced by the genre-fluid Mike Elizondo (21 Pilots, Turnstile), the album finds the 12-piece ensemble leaning into deeper grooves, bolder dynamics, and richer textures. The title track charges ahead with a muscular riff and blistering vocals, while "I Got You" confirms its status as a live-born fan favorite. "Crazy Cryin'" blends gospel-tinged emotion with blues grit, and "Who Am I" offers a reflective turn, balancing Susan Tedeschi's soulful voice with Derek Trucks' lyrical guitar. Lyrically focused on identity, resilience, and hope, Future Soul feels both renewed and resolute-a confident evolution from one of America's most powerful bands. [Indie exclusive light blue vinyl pressing.]
Tinariwen - Hoggar CD/LP (Wedge)
Tinariwen evolve once again on their brand new album, connecting with a younger generation of Tuareg musicians to produce a vibrant album of undulating grooves rooted in their nomadic community. Also featuring guest appearances from José González & Sulafa Elyas. Fierce advocates for their people’s nomadic culture that exists in the desert borderlands between Mali and Algeria, Tinariwen’s bluesy, guitar-driven music has found global acclaim over the past two decades for its lively blend of Tamasheq-language politicism, syncopated rhythms and soaring melody. While previous records like 2023’s Amatssou saw the group collaborate with Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson producer Daniel Lanois, on Hoggar the band look closer to home, and stake their claim as elders of this Tuareg musical tradition. Alan Braxe & Fred Falke - Intro 12" (Smugglers Way)
Released in 2000, Alan Braxe and Fred Falke's “Intro” is five minutes of faultlessly melancholy, perfectly elegant, dance music that nudged French House into the future. For this 25th anniversary re-release, Braxe and Falke also present new remixes of their golden child. Falke’s remix takes “Intro” into new dimensions, cosmic and suspiciously dubby, a newly-recorded bass line sending the mix on its psychedelic way. Braxe’s remix is raw and dirty, a “hotel room edit” as he calls it, that nods to the history of French House as it sparkles up the spine.
Chibuku - Maxambe LP (Modulor)
Born at the turning point between apartheid and democratic South Africa, the Xitsonga bubblegum-disco duo Chibuku embodies the energy of a time of change, as Nelson Mandela was released from prison and kwaito began to emerge. Although they did not achieve the fame of figures such as Paul Ndlovu or Penny Penny, their only album Maxambe (1992) is now considered a precious time capsule, a raw disco treasure rediscovered by lovers of forgotten music. Long overlooked, Maxambe nevertheless bears witness to an era and a social perspective: migration ("Lekomfere"), debt and economics ("Xikweleti"), and family relationships ("Mhamazala"). The music is festive in appearance, but deeply rooted in the reality of its time.

Rocketship - A Certain Smile, A Certain Sadness LP (Slumberland)
One of the clearest examples of an album that crafts a strange and beautiful world not quite like any other is Rocketship's 1996 full-length debut "A Certain Smile, A Certain Sadness." Rocketship spiked their deliciously melodic indiepop with buzzing organs, spacey interstitials and motorik repetition, aligning them with mid-90s peers like Stereolab and Unrest. "A Certain Smile, A Certain Sadness" is an album of unrepentantly vulnerable melodies, unusual seventh chords, lingering ambient interludes, and soft sentiments released at a time when unfriendly, self-conscious punk rock was the order of the day, a bold move indeed. [White swirl vinyl pressing.]

Apologies to the Queen Mary barrels headfirst and breathlessly through songs written during Wolf Parade's early years together as a band. The album's catchy, energetic urgency immediately established them as one of the defining forces of 2000s indie-rock. This new 50th Anniversary Edition features all-analog mastering of the classic album from the original master tapes by Bernie Grundman on 180g black vinyl.
