Lily Allen - West End Girl CD/LP (BMG)
Lily Allen returns with West End Girl, her long-awaited fifth studio album. Written and recorded over an intense 10-day period, blending raw honesty with infectious pop craftsmanship, documenting elements of her time in New York with piercing clarity and insight.
Benny Sings - Beat Tape III LP (Stones Throw)
The third installment in the Dutch singer, songwriter, producer, and multi‑instrumentalist's Beat Tape series. Beat Tape III is an assembly of chance sessions and rare collaborations, each track telling a story of its own: a jam with Jacob Jeffries of Vulfpeck in Amsterdam, a demo with Grammy-nominated Leven Kali, or a cut recorded with Kelsey González of The Free Nationals. More than a collection of outtakes, the project is a portrait of the process, the people, and the moments that shape Benny’s music.
Blackwater Holylight - Not Here Not Gone LP (Suicide Squeeze)
Not Here Not Gone explores the duality of light and dark-menacing riffs provide the bedrock to beguiling melodies; dense walls of shoegaze guitars pair with lighter-than-air synths; and heavy subject matter is delivered by siren song vocals. The result is the crown jewel of Blackwater Holylight's catalog - a rich and immersive study in tonal chiaroscuro, where light finds its way out of the shadows. [Translucent red vinyl pressing.]
Cordovas - Back to Life CD/LP (Yep Roc)
Get ready for the return of the Cordovas with Back to Life, their highly anticipated fifth LP. Packed with soul-stirring harmonies, timeless songwriting, and unstoppable grooves, the album features standout tracks like Wings (featuring Kamasi Washington), Higher Every Time, Back to Life, and Lost at Sea. The Cordovas are back, bolder and brighter than ever - reviving the spirit of rock ’n’ roll. [Gray color vinyl pressing.]
Every King Has a Clown - Every King Has a Clown CD (Cleopatra)
Melodic power metal band helmed by Ryker Castro crashes onto American shores with its debut album. Castro has assembled a murderer's row of metal heroes including Fates Warning vocalist Ray Alder, former Candlemass vocalist Mats Levén, and Mark Boals known for his work with superstar shredder Yngwie Malmsteen!
Geologist - Can I Get a Pack of Camel Lights? 2xLP (Drag City)
Refracting beatifically through realities and mirages flickering along his aural parade route, Animal Collective's Geologist rides the high country on a hurdy gurdy of many colors. Via the mystery science of musical engagement, we take his sonic kaleidoscope of encounters into our own experience as we listen. That's the beauty of Can I Get a Pack of Camel Lights?, the debut solo transmission of the heart and soul and life and times of Geologist.
GUV - Warmer than Gold LP (Run for Cover)
Warmer Than Gold, the new album from Ben Cook's project GUV (f.k.a. Young Guv), is a document of a life in music, a critical and celebratory travelogue, an attempt to transcend the homogeneous and status-obsessed conditions of the contemporary world through the use of big beats, big choruses, and distortion. It's a record made on the go that makes sense anywhere. And most of all, with its expanded sonic palette and emphasis on breakbeats, it ushers in the newest era of an artist who has never stopped growing. The album's music retains the hooky spirit of Cook's previous records, like the acclaimed double albums GUV I & II and GUV III & IV, but it adds a decidedly rhythmic element informed by classic Madchester and Britpop. [Available on standard black vinyl and as a "First Run" silver nugget color vinyl pressing.]
Joyce Manor - I Used to Go to This Bar CD/LP (Epitaph)
The latest album from the California pop-punk legends finds this epochal band operating at the top of their game. They continue to deliver relentlessly satisfying rock music in a manner that makes it look simply effortless. I Used To Go To This Bar further situates Joyce Manor in the rich lineage of their influences and inspirations - think AFI's rapid-fire burn, Weezer's indelible power-pop acumen, and the dusky emotionalism of the Smiths while further establishing them as leading lights in the current rock landscape. The fresh burst of inspiration that fuels I Used To Go To This Bar proves that Joyce Manor are far from content to rest on such laurels, moving forward with their sound and style in a way that reminds you of how they got to this point in the first place. [Available on standard black vinyl and indie exclusive yellow vinyl.]
David Moore - Graze the Bell LP (RVNG Int'l)
Graze the Bell is a collection of soul-stirring, mesmerizing solo piano pieces, and the most distilled offering of David Moore's artistry to date. Known for his atmospheric compositions with Bing & Ruth, as well as his collaborations with guitarist Steve Gunn and Cowboy Sadness, this marks Moore's first widely shared solo piano album. Like the album's cover-a photograph that Moore embroidered by hand-the music abstracts personal experiences into transcendent impressions. Using his piano to meditatively inquire into the human condition, Moore's Graze the Bell is a sanctuary of sound. ["Sea Marble" color vinyl pressing.]
Kelly Moran - Don't Trust Mirrors LP (Warp)
Don’t Trust Mirrors marks one of the most transformative chapters in New York-based composer and producer, Kelly Moran’s career. In 2019, fresh from touring her Warp debut Ultraviolet, she began shaping a more rhythmic follow-up inspired by late nights on the dancefloor. But personal upheaval and the halted tours of the pandemic redirected her path, leading first to 2024’s Moves in the Field, praised by The New York Times as “softhearted but steel-skinned.” Now Moran returns to the project she once paused. Don’t Trust Mirrors explores distortion, reflection, and the slow work of piecing yourself back together. Featuring Warp labelmate Bibio, its 10 tracks shimmer with textural refractions — an immersive journey towards self-reconnection and focus.
Steve Poltz - JoyRide CD (Red House)
Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Steve Poltz is a founding member of the indie-rock band the Rugburns and collaborated on several songs with singer Jewel, including the 1996 single "You Were Meant for Me", which reached number two in the US. JoyRide is his 14th solo album. Capturing him on tape is like convincing a whirling dervish to stop spinning long enough to sign a bill into law. It's chaos, caffeine, and accidental poetry - art colliding with microphones and commerce in a glorious mess. That's how JoyRide happened. No seatbelts, no helmets. Just unsaturated, unadulterated art.
Ratboys - Singin' to an Empty Chair CD/2xLP (New West)
Despite its title, Ratboys’ new album Singin’ to an Empty Chair is not defined by what’s missing. Rather, it’s the beginning of an important dialogue with a close loved one from whom vocalist Julia Steiner finds herself estranged. The music on the band’s sixth studio album fills the space that person left behind with 11 songs showcasing Ratboys at the peak of their powers — twangy, effervescent, as confident as they’ve ever been, and perhaps more emotionally interrogative than ever before. Reconvening with co-producer Chris Walla, the music veers from bubbly power-pop on “Anywhere” to irresistible post-country on “Penny in the Lake,” along with heart-piercing ballads like “Just Want You to Know the Truth” and an exhilarating detour into the extraterrestrial on “Light Night Mountains All That." Fittingly, as the album begins by extending a hand into the void, it concludes with a scene of serenity – all while weaving candid honesty, humor, chaos, and whimsy along the way. “It's not all doom and gloom,” Steiner says. “The experience of making this record definitely gives me hope for whatever happens next.” [Indie exclusive CD and green color vinyl editions autographed by the full band!]
Ailbhe Reddy - Kiss Big LP (Don Giovanni)
Ailbhe Reddy is a Dublin-born songwriter whose music captures the quiet intensity of life’s in-between moments. Her third album Kiss Big is a breakup record, but not in the traditional sense. It explores what happens after the fallout: the numbness, the confusion, the brief flashes of clarity. How identity slips, rearranges, and occasionally reforms. Written between London, New York, Dublin and Donegal, Kiss Big draws on literary influences like Fleishman Is in Trouble and Sarah Kane’s Crave, combining diaristic lyrics with soft-spoken intensity. The result is a record that sits somewhere between indie rock and confessional folk, echoing the emotional weight of artists like Julia Jacklin, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus. With Kiss Big, Reddy leans further into her ability to make the personal feel universal. These are songs for endings, almosts, and the quiet beginnings that come after. [Red vinyl pressing.]
Emily Scott Robinson - Appalachia CD (Oh Boy)
Emily Scott Robinson's third album, Appalachia, is a soul-baring album for anyone in the thick of it. It's for the misfits, the sleep-deprived, the grieving, the scrappy and hopeful. For dawn drives, third cups of coffee, and love you didn't think you deserved but got anyway. It's for you who still unapologetically bursts with hope.
Joel Ross - Gospel Music CD (Blue Note)
Vibraphonist Joel Ross returns with his 5th Blue Note album, Gospel Music, featuring an expanded sextet line-up of his band Good Vibes with Josh Johnson on alto saxophone, Maria Grand on tenor saxophone, Jeremy Corren on piano, Kanoa Mendenhall on bass & Jeremy Dutton on drums. The album is Ross' sonic interpretation of the biblical story, an exploration of his faith, and the fulfilment of his musical upbringing in the church, which delivers a message of hope and love.
The Soft Pink Truth - Can Such Delightful Times Go On Forever? LP (Thrill Jockey)
The Soft Pink Truth (Drew Daniel also of Matmos) grafts chamber music and electronic music into a beguiling new hybrid pop album that evokes mid-20th century film soundtracks with nods to minimalism. Wedding emotional expression with canny references to the inherited history of recorded music, the chimes, organ and pizzicato strings on “Phrygian Ganymede” recall Bernard Herrmann’s scores for classic Alfred Hitchcock films, while galloping marimbas lend a sense of screwball comedy on “L’Esprit de L’Escalier.” Can Such Delightful Times Go On Forever? is a singular album that speaks to the prowess of Drew Daniel as a composer and producer, deftly interlacing pop structure and classical timbre while interlacing subtle electronic sound design with gorgeous acoustics. Across the album Daniel embraces a spirit of drama and romanticism that blurs the boundaries between unconscious desire and everyday reality. Features contributions from guitarist Bill Orcutt, string arranger Ulas Kurugullu, harpists Neleta Ortiz and Cecilia Cuccolin, the Ebu String Quartet, and many more.
Sunday Mourners - A-Rhythm Absolute LP (Curation Records)
Exploding out of the new young Los Angeles club scene and following the sonic path of U.S. legends Television, Modern Lovers and The Feelies and U.K pioneers Wire & The Fall, Sunday Mourners standout amongst the current wave of Americana, Power Pop and Singer-Songwriters and don't the kids just love it. They describe the music on A-Rhythm Absolute as "a blend of minimalism, melody, and raw, primal energy, fusing Art-Punk restraint with a love for the noisy and the unconventional." [Apple red vinyl pressing.]
Tulpa - Monster of the Week LP (Skep Wax)
What is a Tulpa? It’s a mythical being manifested into existence through the act of concentrated thought, like an imaginary friend brought to life, but (sometimes) scarier... Leeds, UK-based four-piece Tulpa's debut album has some of the same qualities. A whole set of loud, catchy, perfectly-crafted pop songs have been conjured into existence and want to be part of your life. Josie’s hyper-melodic lead vocals are cool and crystalline, but the lyrics are warm and human. The twin guitars create a sonic mesh, a web of textures that traps you, whether you like it or not. And yes, something scarier does lie below the surface. Occasionally the guitars force their way to the front, furious and intense. And sometime those lyrics aren’t as innocent as they first appear.
Tyler Ballgame - For the First Time, Again CD/LP (Rough Trade)
Tyler Ballgame's stunning debut is a bracing reminder of how great songs delivered by a gifted vocalist can move, captivate, and inspire. Produced by Jonathan Rado (Foxygen, The Lemon Twigs, Weyes Blood) and Ryan Pollie (Los Angeles Police Department) and delivered in Ballgame's astonishing, versatile tenor, these 12 finely crafted tunes, rooted in classic rock, indie, and Americana, will make anyone with a heart feel seen. Even before the insightful, often provocative lyrics register, Ballgame's infectious melodies draw you into a story both relatable, and unlike any you've heard.
Ye Vagabonds - All Tied Together CD/LP (River Lea)
On their powerful, cinematic new album, the multi-award-winning Irish band Ye Vagabonds deliver deeply evocative original songs infused with memory, tribute, and gratitude. Starting their music career playing folk music as buskers in the street, Ye Vagabonds have since evolved into a robust collective - a sonically unique ensemble featuring layered acoustic and electric guitars, trumpet, upright bass, Moog synthesizer, harmonium, bouzouki, fiddle, and the blood harmony of the Mac Gloinn brothers' distinctive, multi-hued voices. All Tied Together was recorded almost entirely live in an old Galway house, with acclaimed producer Philip Weinrobe (Big Thief, Adrienne Lenker) at the helm.

Miles Davis - The Complete Plugged Nickel Live 1965 8xCD/10xLP (Sony Legacy)
The most requested Miles Davis reissue arrives for his centennial in spectacular style. What began as a holiday residency at Chicago's Plugged Nickel Café became the crucible where the Second Great Quintet forged its identity. Miles, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams delivered a masterclass in risk and invention, dismantling familiar tunes and rebuilding them on the fly. Producer Teo Macero captured every note across seven sets on December 22 and 23, 1965. Portions trickled out in the '70s and '80s, but only in the early '90s did Legacy (CD) and Mosaic (LP) reveal the full scope of seven and half hours of revelatory music-instantly hailed as one of the greatest live jazz recordings ever, earning the Penguin Jazz Guide's coveted "Crown, " and becoming pricey, secondary-market rarities. Now, 30 years later and six decades after the shows themselves, veteran fans finally get the repress they've demanded, and new fans get a chance to own one of the most mythologized live engagements in jazz history. Both CD and LP editions include a 44 page book with rare Plugged Nickel photos, extensive new liner notes, and track-by-track commentary by Syd Schwartz alongside Bob Blumenthal's original essay.
Florist - The Birds Outside Sang LP (Double Double Whammy)
10th anniversary reissue. Florist began in the Catskill Mountains as the friendship project of Emily Sprague, Rick Spataro, and Jonnie Baker, later joined by Felix Walworth. Holdly (2015) and The Birds Outside Sang (2016) captured the earliest moments of that bond; hushed, homespun songs shaped equally by intimacy and resilience. The latter was written in the aftermath of Sprague’s near-fatal bike accident, beginning in solitude and concluding with the band’s return to each other, offering a portrait of healing, community, and the power of sound shared among friends. These recordings became cornerstones of Florist’s world: quiet yet expansive, deeply personal yet instantly connective. ["Monet Marble" color vinyl pressing.]
Girls Against Boys - Cruise Yourself LP (Touch & Go)
Originally released in 1994 and remastered in 2025 by Bob Weston at Chicago Mastering Service, GvsB's second full-length release for Touch and Go Records, Cruise Yourself, is characterized by catch vocal lines wrapped in a sonic double-bass low end. Guitars filter in and out of songs driven by heavy powerhouse groove drumming. There is noise, there is melody. "Tucked In" churns, "Kill the Sexplayer" pounds relentlessly, "(I) Don't Got A Place" glides, and "Psychic Know-How" blows your head off... but you regain it immediately in the ominous groove of "Explicitly Yours. ["Suspended Gold" color vinyl pressing.]

It drew inspiration from the Blackfella/Whitefella Tour of remote Indigenous communities with the Warumpi Band and Gondwanaland in 1986. The album peaked at No. 1 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart for six weeks. In 1989, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it No. 13 on their list of the 100 best albums of the 1980s.
