Brue's latest album pays tribute to his mentor Earle by writing, finishing, or re-imagining never-before-recorded songs taken directly from Earle’s journals, entrusted to Sammy by Justin’s widow. Some of the songs on the album are based on lyric sheets Brue found. Others are co-writes or songs Brue wrote based on compilations of ideas and little paragraphs Earle wrote. IDK - Even the Devil Smiles CD/LP (Rhymesayers)

Jason ".IDK." Mills' latest project, Even The Devil Smiles, is a gripping reflection on survival, transformation, and the moments of fortune that forever changed his path. Drawing on his own history of incarceration and a pivotal twist of fate that allowed him to regain his freedom early, he channels that lived experience into a body of work that feels both urgent and unflinchingly honest. Through vivid storytelling, he unpacks themes of betrayal, spiritual conflict, and resilience. Every track pulsates with the tension of lived experience, capturing the stakes, choices, and breakthroughs that defined his journey.

Muscadine Bloodline - Longleaf Lo-Fi LP (Stancaster)

Originally from Mobile, AL and now based in Nashville, independent country duo Muscadine Bloodline weave tales inspired by the people and scenery of their southern roots. In 2024 and 2025, Gary Stanton and Charlie Muncaster released two connected records that were deeply centered on their upbringing - 'The Coastal Plain', and the follow up companion album '... And What Was Left Behind.' Across these two albums, they painted a sonic landscape detailing the stories that made up their coastal Alabama heritage. With this new chapter, their sights begin to turn West to neighboring Mississippi. 'Longleaf Lo-fi' is a collection of 11 songs that showcase a different side of the band's sound. Unplugged, sparse, and with no frills, Stanton, Muncaster and producer Ryan Youmans captured lightning in a bottle yet again with the help of frequent collaborates and bandmates Weston Stewart, Zoltan Tobac, and Justin Rowton.

The Paper Kites -  If You Go There, I Hope You Find It LP (Nettwerk)

With their seventh studio album, The Paper Kites reaffirm their place as one of the most quietly influential bands of their time. "When the Lavender Blooms" is a tender meditation on letting love and joy in after seasons of distance. "Every Town" traces the haunting ways memory and longing follow us wherever we go. And "Change of the Wind" offers both a personal and universal plea-that while we can't alter everything around us, we can change ourselves. Threaded with the band's hallmark harmonies and understated beauty, the album is an invitation to pause, reflect, and rediscover something true. [Rust colored vinyl pressing.]

[Run for Cover "First Run Club" edition pressed on Mountain Ore color vinyl.]

Tristan Perich & James McVinnie - Infinity Gradient 2xLP (Erased Tapes)

From Bach to Brahms, Mahler to Messiaen, any composer worth their salt has written for the pipe organ. And so when James McVinnie put the idea to Tristan Perich to write for the king of instruments, it was perhaps not a surprise that the New York contemporary-classical composer had already considered the possibilities of marrying his signature 1-bit electronic music with an instrument that has reverberated down the centuries. The resulting piece that started with a conversation between the two back in 2016 is undoubtedly Perich’s most ambitious work to date. Infinity Gradient is an hour-long symphony in seven movements for organ and 100 speakers in 1-bit audio, recorded for this album at London’s Royal Festival Hall at Southbank Centre, where McVinnie was artist-in-residence throughout 2024.

Poppy - Empty Hands CD/LP (Sumerian)

Metal and avant-pop artist Poppy returns with 13 bold new tracks on her seventh full-length, Empty Hands. Produced by Jordan Fish (Bring Me the Horizon), Poppy follows up her previous album, Negative Spaces, with a daring set of songs that blurs the lines between heavy and hypnotic, cementing her status as a rising visionary within the rock genre. [Indie exclusive pink & blue splatter color vinyl pressing.]

Searows - Death in the Business of Whaling LP (Communion Group LTD)

The second album from singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer Alec Duckart.  "I became interested in writing songs that read more like folklore. A place where I could put my life and point of view out there, but in a way that spoke more symbolically. Something your subconscious understands before your conscious mind does. Visceral rather than literal. And that relationship to our deeper selves, our subconscious, our souls, is a major theme of the album for me. The live performance aspect of releasing music remained a significant consideration throughout the album making process." [Gold color vinyl pressing.]

Louis Tomlinson - How Did I Get Here? CD/deluxe CD/LP (BMG)

How Did I Get Here? is the highly anticipated third album from global music superstar Louis Tomlinson. Shaped in the vibrant surroundings of Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, the record captures his restless creativity and fearless artistic spirit. Following the success of debut Walls (2020) and the chart-topping Faith In The Future (2022), this new chapter cements Louis' evolution into the artist he's always wanted to be. Deluxe CD features alternate artwork, a 36 page booklet, and 2 bonus tracks. [Yellow & white splatter color vinyl pressing.

Wednesday Knudsen - Atrium 2xLP (Spinster)

After two decades in the experimental music scenes of New York and Western Massachusetts, Wednesday Knudsen might be known equally as a sought-after improv collaborator and the vocalist and guitarist for the beloved long-running psych band Pigeons or, more recently, as a member of the New England psych-folk ensemble Stella Kola. Atrium, Knudsen's fifth solo album, is both her first solo work to appear on vinyl and a double LP, marking her rich recording history with a stunning masterwork. Channeling the “atmosphere of presence” alongside the legions of Éliane Radigue, Hiroshi Yoshimura, and Joanna Brouk, on Atrium, Knudsen plays it all—alto saxophone, flute, guitar, synth, piano, autoharp, bass guitar, and vocals. The collected compositions are studies in the tones, timbres, and pacing particular to the woodland environment of the Taconic Mountains where she lives. Atrium’s tracks are sculptural rather than ambient, with a release into the gorgeous hold of gravity that insists we don’t escape or drift away.

Lucinda Williams - World's Gone Wrong CD/LP (Lucinda Williams)

Throughout her long career, Lucinda Williams has never shied away from writing about difficult but real things. If you think about it, you could call "Change The Locks" a topical song ahead of it's time. There were several biting and brave songs on her Good Souls Better Angels album, as well as the post-Covid masterpiece Stories From A Rock N Roll Heart. With World's Gone Wrong, Lucinda ups the ante on topical songs. It is a pure reflection of our very turbulent times, intense and musically powerful. [Indie exlclusive sky blue vinyl pressing.]

Leela James - A Change is Gonna Come 2xLP (Get On Down)

L.A.-based soul singer Leela James started out singing backup vocals on hip-hop albums in the late 90s and early 2000s. In 2004, she recorded the song "No Tears" on Pete Rock's "Soul Survivor 2", shortly after she signed a deal with Warner Bros Records and released her debut album A Change is Gonna Come, named after her cover of the Sam Cooke song. A true soul singer, with a voice comparable to Mavis Staples and Betty Wright, Leela enlisted Commissioner Gordon to oversee production, which included tracks by Kanye West, Raphael Saadiq, Wyclef Jean, and Chucky Thompson. She performs a soulful R&B cover of No Doubt's "Don't Speak" and alternates between funky uplifting tracks like "Good Time" and "Soul Food" with downtempo, soulful ballads like "When You Love Somebody" and "My Joy."  First ever vinyl pressing. [Limited edition Golden Pearl colored vinyl pressing.]

Less Than Jake - Borders & Boundaries (25th Anniversary) 2xLP (Fat Wreck Chords)

Released in 2000, third wave ska band Less than Jake took bold steps on Borders and Boundaries. With producer Steve Kravac at the helm, the album leans into skate-pop punk more than any previous album. Punk news called the album "underrated." Though Canada's Chart Attack & Germanys' Rock Hard & Ox-Fanzine would disagree. As would UK's Downed in Sound giving the album a perfect 10/10 and writing "every song is so darn catchy" 25 years later, Borders and Boundaries is now is the band's best selling and most popular release. The 25th Anniversary edition includes five previously unreleased demos and new mix of "Is this Thing on?" Gatefold jacket, 2xLP with UV print on the D side & six bonus tracks. [Yellow vinyl pressing.]

Mavi - Laughing So Hard, It Hurts LP (Nature Sounds)

While it remains a remarkable achievement, Mavi’s breakthrough debut album Let The Sun Talk was the work of an artist still coming into his own, recorded when the gifted emcee was a teenager attending Howard University. After working with artists like Earl Sweatshirt and Pink Siifu, the Charlotte, North Carolina wordsmith returned three years later with 2022's acclaimed Laughing So Hard, It Hurts, an emotional meditation on life’s complex duality. Embedding his dense flows within lush instrumentation and stuttering percussion, Mavi unearthed new lyrical depth on the album, navigating through joy and sorrow, grief and hope, pain and healing. Features production from Monte Booker, Dlyvinci, Ovrkast, and more.

Reba McEntire - Starting Over 2xLP (MCA Nashville)

This demo version of "The Last Three Human Words" runs just over 5 minutes, but captures the intimacy of Jason's entire catalog perfectly well. MJ Lenderman's cover of "Just Be Simple" brings a fresh urgency to the song, blending its twangy confessions with bursts of full-band energy. His distinct North Carolina drawl trembles with poetic conviction, reimagining Molina's original with reverence and grit. The cover plays to the emotional depth of both artists, setting the tone for a project rooted in tribute and transformation.

The Necessaries - Completely Necessary (Anthology 1978-1982) 2xCD/3xLP (Omnivore)

"The group has no niche, it doesn't fit in anywhere," explains Necessaries drummer Jesse Chamberlain in a 1980 Melody Maker interview. "We just state the facts about life in America, like The Clash did about England, but we're not so heavy about it." The Necessaries rose from the ashes of Harry Toledo & The Rockets, a little-known New York art-rock band playing gigs at Max's Kansas City during glam's metamorphosis into punk. The first authorized and comprehensive anthology by The Necessaries. The mid-'70s/early '80s New York rock/punk/art scene band included members: Ed Tomney, Ernier Brooks, Arthur Russell, Jesse Chamberlain, and Randy Gun. 37 tracks, 28 previously unissued. Jimmy Smith's first album for Verve, recorded in 1962, Bashin' features the organist in two very different configurations - the first with an Oliver Nelson-conducted big band (including up-and-coming trumpeter Doc Severinsen), and the second with Smith's regular trio with Quentin Warren (guitar) and Donald Bailey (drums.) This historic set was a turning point for Smith's career, with the track "Walk on the Wild Side" becoming his biggest hit to that point, reaching #21 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. Verve Acoustic Sounds Series features transfers from analog tapes and remastered 180-gram vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.

Jimmy Smith - Organ Grinder Swing LP (Verve)

Released in mid-1965, Jimmy Smith took a break from the typical big band sessions he'd been doing for Verve with this pared-down trio date, enlisting Kenny Burrell (guitar) and Grady Tate (drums) to take on a selection of blues and jazz standards. From the title track to his own "Blues For J," Smith and this all-star group display complete mastery of, arguably, the most swinging of all jazz band configurations - the organ trio. Alan Vega - Alan Vega LP/2xLP (Sacred Bones)

Alan Vega's self-titled debut solo album, originally released in 1980, marked a bold new chapter for one of New York's most influential and uncompromising voices. On his solo debut, Vega dove headfirst into the roots of his personal sound, fueled by blues, rockabilly, and his enduring love for Elvis Presley. Stripped of Suicide's confrontational electronics but retaining Vega's outsider energy and voice, the album translates early rock 'n roll through an art-punk filter and stands as a cult masterpiece in it's own right. Minimalist, haunting, and deeply personal, it carved out a unique place in the underground canon. Deluxe 2 LP edition pairs the newly remastered original album with a second disc of previously unheard early demos, offering a rare glimpse into the raw creative process behind this cult classic. [Single LP edition pressed on magenta vinyl. Double LP edition pressed on ice blue vinyl.]

Alan Vega - Collision Drive CD/LP (Sacred Bones)

Collision Drive is Alan Vega's second solo studio album, originally released in 1981. If his debut laid the groundwork for a raw, minimalist take on rockabilly and blues, Collision Drive expands the palette with a grittier, more layered, and unfiltered energy. Here Vega's lyrics channel universal themes rooted in his fascination with street life, science fiction, politics, comics, love and the mysteries of the universe. It's a record that pulses with feeling and rebellion, displaying the full spectrum of human experience and Vega's evolving vision.[Red vinyl pressing.]
