As they celebrate their 40th Anniversary with an international tour, Pixies are releasing songs from their vault that are otherwise unavailable, dating from 1987 to 1991, as part of remasters of their albums Bossanova and Trompe le Monde (due out September 11, 2026 via 4AD). In addition to being reissued on CD, digital and standard black vinyl formats, two special limited-edition vinyl pressings, exclusive to Dinked’s newly launched Dinked International Editions, will contain four unearthed songs – “Dig For Fire (Albini Version)”, “Go Man Go”, “Brackish Boy”, and “Punk Loop”.

Trompe Le Monde was remastered by Kevin Vanbergen who has been working through the band’s tape archive to create new Dolby Atmos mixes as well as high-res masters of the band’s catalogue, including both their Live at The BBC and Complete B-Sides compilations (the latter due out on 26th June). On the Trompe le Monde bonus 7”, Side A is “Brackish Boy”, known more as a Frank Black song as he recorded it again for his eponymous 1993 debut solo album. This early version has been mastered direct from the album session tape and with no post-production. The flip side features an unconventional track, ‘Punk Loop’. It was recorded in 1991 during the Trompe le Monde sessions, labelled simply as “Punk Loop” MSTR.
