Something More Than Free is the much celebrated follow up to Isbell’s breakthrough album Southeastern (2013). It too was produced by Dave Cobb. In 2016 the Americana Music Association awarded SMTF Album of the Year and “24 Frames” Song of the Year. The record also won the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album in 2016.
