Alison Wonderland - Ghost World LP (Casablanca)
Ghost World is Alison Wonderland's highly anticipated fourth album, featuring lead single "iwannaliveinadream." Co-produced with Dylan Ragland (Pretty Favor), it sees Alison at her euphoric, ethereal best, taking the foot off the club-gas just a little to make way for a vulnerable and heartfelt album highlight. HAYWARDxDÄLEK - HAYWARDxDÄLEK CD/2xLP (Relapse)
HAYWARDxDÄLEK is the brand new collaborative album from This Heat drummer and creative force Charles Hayward and rapper/producer Will Brooks (aka MC dälek). Combining daring improvisation with hip-hop-informed sampling, the album is a thrilling trip into an uncharted new world of sound and possibility. The bulk of the music was recorded live in Salford in September 2023 as part of the 20th Samarbeta residency. Brooks took the live recording back to his Deadverse Studio headquarters in Union City, New Jersey, and added new layers of sound and lyrics. The result is a striking body of work that traverses the lines between hip-hop, noise-rock, ambient soundscapes, and free improvisation. [Black ice vinyl pressing.]
Jutes - Dilworth 2xLP (Position Music)
The fourth album from the Canadian artist. “Dilworth is an album that touches on many different elements of my life, past and present. It’s dark, passionate, devastating, angry, raunchy and hopeful. Sonically I wanted it to feel like an extension of my last album Sleepyhead. There’s evolution as I’ve gotten more comfortable in this world I’m building but I wanted it to feel like a second chapter of the same story in a sense. I intentionally felt it was important that I cement my own sound in the heavier rock space. Khruangbin - The Universe Smiles Upon You ii 2xLP (Dead Oceans)
Khruangbin celebrate the legacy of their beloved debut album with new recordings of all 10 of its tracks. The Universe Smiles Upon You ii was recorded on January 4-6, 2025, in the same family barn of guitarist Mark Speer, across the same dates where TUSUY was first conceived ten years earlier. Though the conditions were the same-dirt floor, brutally cold, minimal sound isolation, all takes live-the songs aren't. They're re-approached, some changed more than others, harnessing the lightning-in-a-bottle energy of TUSUY while discovering what would be unique this time around, in this stage of the band's life. The result moves like ripples on the water across ten hypnotizing tracks, the barn creating a sense of spaciousness, serenity and creative freedom, nearby wildlife, rattles and creaks of the barn and all. It's a tapestry of small movements in nuanced arrangements, slowly revealing the new life, stories and character of someone you've met again for the first time in ten years. [White vinyl pressing.]
Laufey - A Very Laufey Holiday: Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town 7" (Laufey LLC)
GRAMMY-winning Icelandic-Chinese artist, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Laufey presents the latest release in her annual series, A Very Laufey Holiday including a new cover of "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town". A Very Laufey Holiday started in 2021 with "Love To Keep Me Warm" (with dodie), followed by "The Christmas Waltz" in 2022, "Christmas Dreaming" in 2023, and "Santa Baby" last year with a music video featuring Bill Murray.
Lettuce - Cook 2xLP (Lettuce Records)
Lettuce serves up a full-course groove experience with Cook, a 16-track feast of classic funk, rich instrumentation, and deep-pocket rhythm. The album features 12 full-length tracks, including two vocal cuts, with a standout cover of Keni Burke's "Rising to the Top" leading the charge at radio. Cook is presented as a multisensory experience: the vinyl includes a recipe book of original dishes crafted by the band, each paired with a song and one of their two new wines launched alongside the album. Loaded Honey - Love Made Trees LP (Vetra Records)
Loaded Honey is the new project from Brit Award winning Jungle’s Lydia Kitto and J Lloyd, born from an effortless creative partnership that began during the makings of Jungle’s last two albums, ‘Volcano’ and ‘Loving In Stereo’. Working and later living together, they found themselves surrounded by an overflow of musical ideas that stretched beyond the world of Jungle, too intimate and expansive to fit into one singular project. Loaded Honey became the space for all of it. If Jungle is for Friday and Saturday nights, Loaded Honey is for Sunday morning. It’s a different kind of experience. Melody's Echo Chamber - Unclouded CD/LP (Domino)
On her fourth album, Unclouded, psychedelic pop artist Melody’s Echo Chamber embarks on a life-affirming new chapter with an album that celebrates the present moment, whatever state we find ourselves in. Unclouded’s impressive cast includes Swedish maestro Sven Wunder, who co-produced the record and contributed to the writing, bringing his unique sonic palette to the richly-textured canvas; Josefin Runsteen on strings, who brings her avant-garde smarts to the tableau; Dina Ögon’s Daniel Ögen on guitar and Love Orsan on bass who Melody describes as “masters of the velvet groove”; British drummer Malcolm Catto, collaborator with Madlib and DJ Shadow, and the powerhouse behind The Heliocentrics; and frequent collaborator Reine Fiske whose guitar parts can be heard throughout the record. Zeena Parkins - Lament for the Maker CD (Relative Pitch)
Three recently commissioned works for solo harp and the final piece, berlin bedroom, an ongoing acoustic harp solo by Parkins which began in 2014. This CD serves as an homage to Mills College and the Bay Area and is dedicated to students, colleagues and a collective devotion to experimental art making.
Carmen Rizzo - ascending into silence LP (Dark Horse Records)
Dhani Harrison and Carmen Rizzo continue their work in introducing listeners to unique global musical cultures with a new collaborative album, 'ascending into silence,' featuring Ivan Shopov. It follows their critically acclaimed album with Huun-Huur-Tu, 'Dreamers in the Field.' [Green vinyl pressing.]
Boz Scaggs - Detour LP (Concord Records)
Grammy winner Boz Scaggs, known for his silky voice and genre-blending style, takes a refined turn with a jazz-influenced record that showcases his deep appreciation for classic grooves and sophisticated arrangements. Blending smoky vocals with laid-back rhythms, the album nods to the cool jazz clubs of the past while keeping Scaggs' signature soul intact. It's a smooth, mature work comprised of Boz's interpretation of classic standards as well as one new original track.
Katie Schecter - Empress LP (Soul Step)
Raised in NYC, it feels as if Katie Schecter time traveled to present day from a chicer and more sonically cool yesteryear of the future. She effortlessly blends the half-cool, half-kitsch of her home in Nashville that is neither new nor timeless. Deeply soulful and introspective indie rock await the listener when you drop the needle on this LP. Produced with care and love by Nick Bockrath of Cage The Elephant with an incredible set of musicians, this LP is one that reveals more of itself the more you spin it.
Tom Smith - There Is Nothing in the Dark That Isn't There in the Light CD/LP (Play It Again Sam)
Best known as the voice of Editors for two decades, Tom Smith steps into the spotlight alone for the first time, revealing a more intimate, organic side than fans may be used to. Having taken inspiration from stripped down honest songwriting, Tom delivers a masterfully crafted album filled with orchestral strings and warm acoustics. There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn't There In The Light sees Smith reconnect with producer Iain Archer, whom he's previously worked with as part of the Tired Pony project with Peter Buck (R.E.M.) and Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol). The album ultimately leaves you with a feeling of hope, a reminder of the strength that we can find in one another, and the knowledge that when the darkness does finally recede, the light reveals what's always been there.
Temporary Blessings - Sumbisori LP (Colemine Records)
Temporary Blessings is the new project led by stalwart Melbourne trumpet player / composer Liam McGorry. Assembled to realise McGorry's compositions drawing on 1960s Italian & French soundtrack music, Temporary Blessings brings together trusted instrumentalists and fellow travelers from Melbourne's rich enclave of cinematic soul. With Liam at the helm, the group is composed of members of Surprise Chef, Karate Boogaloo, Saskwatch and Let Your Hair Down. The resulting recordings realise McGorry's sonic visions of film noir, giallo, library music and cinematic soul, captured live in one room with what the maestro describes as "a shared spirit".
Umi - People Stories CD (Epic)
People Stories marks a new chapter in Umi's journey. Inspired by her loved ones, fans, strangers, and her own experiences, the project explores ego, healing, identity, and connection-all filtered through her signature tranquil songwriting. The album is her most personal and expansive to date, featuring spoken word outros from her therapist and guide-sonic imperfections are intentionally left in as a tribute to life's beautiful messiness.

Wisp - If Not Winter LP (Interscope)
Released on CD this summer, now available on vinyl. Following her breakout EP, Pandora - amassing over 250 million global streams and solidifying her place at forefront of the underground - Wisp releases her debut album. A testament to her ability to push the bounds of modern rock music, the twelve-song body of work showcases her distinctive and sophisticated sound, and dedication to storytelling.
Tommy Womack - Live a Little CD/LP (Schoolkids Records)
On his new album Live a Little, acclaimed Nashville indie-rock singer-songwriter Tommy Womack reminds us that every moment is precious. Womack explores both dying and living on the album. The entire album is written from the perspective of an older, wiser guy; someone who has lived and learned and grown as a person and as an artist. Producer Eric Ambel calls it a “reflective record,” and while Womack may be in a reflective mood, it doesn’t blunt his artistic edge, which is honed with irony and humor.

The “Across the Horizon” series sets the goal of bringing together a like-minded community of instrumental pioneers and encouraging them to explore beyond their normal pathways, taking them into previously unexplored territories. By choosing a group of artist/curators each year and asking them to bring forth their favorite artist peers, Northern Spy hopes to broaden the landscape of instrumental music and emulate the kind of discovery that happens when artists sit down to chat about their influences. The curators for Volume 1 include William Tyler and Luke Schneider, and the compilation features contributions from Tyler, Schneider, Kyle Hamlett, Marisa Anderson, claire rousay, eucademix (Yuka Honda of Cibo Matto), and many more.
Armand Hammer & The Alchemist - Haram LP (Rhymesayers)
Recently reissued on vinyl, now available on CD. Originally released in 2021, Haram is a mercurial collaboration between incendiary rap duo Armand Hammer, and living legend The Alchemist. Haram marks the first time ELUCID and billy woods crafted an album with a single producer, and the result is extraordinary. With their unmatched penchant for stirring imagery and incisive storytelling, the two rappers dive into an ocean of Alchemist’s creation: warmly inviting on the surface, black and bone-crushingly cold at depth. Haram is a collection of the profane and the pure; a reminder that that which is forbidden is also sacrosanct.
Jonathan Blake - Homeward Bound LP (Blue Note)
Imbued with warmth and swing, Johnathan Blake's 2021 Blue Note debut, Homeward Bound, was a celebration of life and legacy that introduced the drummer-composer's masterful modern jazz quintet, Pentad, featuring alto saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins, vibraphonist Joel Ross, keyboardist David Virelles, and bassist Dezron Douglas. This stereo Blue Note Tone Poet Vinyl Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket.
Jaimie Branch - FLY or DIE II: bird dogs of paradise (IA11 Edition) LP (International Anthem)
Originally released in the fall of 2019, bird dogs of paradise was hugely anticipated in its time. A year before that, following the success of her first Fly or Die album, branch whisked her incredible quartet across Europe where they stretched their songbook to its limit, improvising en modo deconstructivo, tugging at the music’s edges and relentlessly morphing the sound of a four-fold liberation machine that included branch (trumpet), Chad Taylor (drums), Jason Ajemian (bass), and newcomer Lester St. Louis (cello). FLY OR DIE II also introduced the wider world to branch’s singing voice. The IA11 Edition reissue of the album comes on classic black 140-gram vinyl LP inside a heavyweight reverse-board jacket, with a 16-page 11x11" insert booklet with previously-unpublished photos two sets of new liner notes (the first by jaimie’s mom Soledad “Sally” Branch, and the second by Jason Ajemian).
Donald Byrd - At The Half Note Cafe Vol. 2 (Blue Note Tone Poet Edition) LP (Blue Note)
In November 1960, trumpeter Donald Byrd brought his quintet into the Half Note Cafe in New York City to record this soulful, swinging, and highly enjoyable live set of hard bop featuring Pepper Adams on baritone saxophone, Duke Pearson on piano, Laymon Jackson on bass, and Lex Humphries on drums. This stereo Blue Note Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket.
Cancer - To the Gory End LP (Peaceville)
Black vinyl reissue of Cancer's genre-classic 1990 debut of timeless death metal. UK death metal gods Cancer burst onto the UK extreme metal scene over thirty-five years ago & quickly amassed a strong global following over the course of their early careers, which later resulted in a stint with major label EastWest under Warner Music. After a period of inactivity, Cancer returned for 2018’s Peaceville debut, ‘Shadow Gripped’, followed up by 2025’s new opus, ‘Inverted World’. Along with sophomore opus ‘Death Shall Rise’, ‘To The Gory End’ became a firm genre classic with its influential display of sonic savagery containing fittingly shocking topics to match. The album swiftly established Cancer as one of the highlights of the rising UK death metal scene alongside such bands as Bolt Thrower & Carcass.
Nick Cave - Live God 2xCD/2xLP (Play It Again Sam)
Live God is a stunning testament to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ Wild God World Tour 2024/2025. Across 18 tracks, the album captures the transcendent nature of those unforgettable shows, which were in Nick Cave’s own words, "an antidote to despair." The track list includes performances of the entirety of the acclaimed 2024 studio album Wild God, as well as catalog favorites like "Papa Won’t Leave You," "Henry," "From Her To Eternity," and "Into My Arms." Chuito el de Bayamon - Vol. 4 LP (Kuroneko)
Originally released in 1963. Chuíto el de Bayamón (Jesús Sánchez Erazo) was a legendary Puerto Rican troubadour and one of the earliest jíbaro singers to appear on the radio. Known for his witty décimas and lively improvisation, he helped popularize traditional Puerto Rican music. His work influenced generations, including salsa greats like Héctor Lavoe.
Various Artists - Come Rock With Me LP (Charly)
Treasure Isle's 1968 rocksteady gem returns! Featuring Jamaican greats Tommy McCook, Alton Ellis, Phyllis Dillon, The Paragons, The Jamaicans, and Joya Landis, this long-lost classic is officially reissued for the first time-fully restored and remastered in pure vintage style. An essential collectible for reggae lovers and rocksteady devotees alike. Originally laid down at Treasure Isle Recording Studios and produced by pioneering Jamaican producer Arthur 'Duke' Reid, this fully restored and remastered album grooves hard with Tommy McCook's backing band, The Supersonics, and Jamaica's finest-bringing the heat, soul, and unstoppable rhythm of Rocksteady.
Celia Cruz - The Queen of Salsa CD/LP (Craft Recordings)
A Celia Cruz centennial tribute that features 12 of the salsa icon's indelible hits from her crowning years (1966-1993). The compilation brings together solo and collaboration songs featuring Latin music icons Tito Puente, Johnny Pacheco, Willie Colón and the Fania All Stars. Highlights include the quintessential rumba "Quimbara," the salsa jam "Usted abusó" and the salsafied guajira-son "Guantanamera," plus liner notes by co-author of the official Celia autobiography Ana Cristina Reymundo.
Ronnie D'Addario - Written by Ronnie D'Addario CD (Omnivore Recordings)
Released on vinyl for Black Friday, now available on CD. 13 track collection of songs written by the father of Brian & Michael D'Addario (The Lemon Twigs). Performed by Ronnie, The Lemon Twigs, Todd Rundgren, Mac DeMarco, Sean Ono Lennon, Darian Sahanaja (The Wondermints, Brian Wilson), and Matt Jardine. While not a "classic tribute album," Written by Ronnie D'Addario is a testament to incredible songwriting and interpretation from artists from across the musical spectrum.
Dead Kennedys - Nazi Punks F*** Off / Moral Majority 7"
Dead Kennedys, one of punk's most influential bands, delivered one of their iconic singles with the original release of "Nazi Punks F*** Off." Fueled by rage, urgency and overwhelming irony, the track stands as a fearless rejection of hate and fascism. Raw and unapologetic, this record is a timeless snapshot of DK's rebellious spirit and uncompromising vision. 7" Black Vinyl.
Depeche Mode - Memento Mori: Mexico City 2xCD (Columbia)
A live recording of over two hours of music from Depeche Mode's three sold out concerts in September 2023 at the legendary Foro Sol Stadium in Mexico City, plus four previously unreleased studio recordings from the Memento Mori Sessions. The CD package includes the live album and bonus tracks on two CDs, plus a 16 page booklet featuring live photos from the shows.
The Devil Wears Prada - Dead Throne LP (Real Gone Music)
The Devil Wears Prada’s 2011 album Dead Throne didn’t just hit the Top Ten on Billboard’s album chart…it also topped the publication’s Christian and Independent album charts! Which illustrates why this band stands out among the metalcore crowd…the savagery of its music belies its spiritual and intellectual concerns. Indeed, the theme of Dead Throne was anti-idolatry; as lyricist Mike Hranica puts it, “…making kings out of things that shouldn’t be kings.” Warning words to live by! And new producer Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage) lends Dead Throne a more stripped-down sound that sharpens its attack. For its first U.S. reissue, Dead Throne has been remastered for vinyl in a yellow glow stick pressing.
Everlast - Eat at Whitey's (25th Anniversary) 2xLP (Tommy Boy)
Everlast's sophomore album as a solo artist, Eat At Whitey's, was released in 2000. Following the success of 1998's Whitey Ford Sings the Blue, Eat at Whitey's finds him beefing up his sound as well as bringing in big names, such as N'dea Davenport (who adds her vocals on the sexy, R&B-flavored "Love for Real"), Goodie Mob's Cee-Lo, Cypress Hill's B Real, and Carlos Santana, for whom Everlast penned the Grammy-winning "Put Your Lights On." Everlast is still fixated on redemption and regret, but his intensity and passion make up for the narrow focus, as, guitar in hand, he conjures up a nocturnal, sultry world populated with saints, sinners, and homeboys.
Sam Fender - People Watching (Deluxe Edition) 2xCD/2xLP (Capitol)
Off the back of a huge 2025 which saw Sam Fender sell out shows at London Stadium, 3 x St James' Park - Newcastle, alongside a Mercury Music Prize nomination and the fastest selling British album of the year comes, People Watching (Deluxe). The deluxe includes 8 additional songs inclusive of "Rein Me In (with Olivia Dean)" and the new single "Talk to You (featuring Elton John)." [Silver vinyl pressing.]
The Gits - Enter: The Conquering Chicken CD/LP (Sub Pop)
Enter: The Conquering Chicken is the punk/riot grrrl band's second, and final, full-length studio album. The Gits' vocalist, lyricist, and frontwoman, Mia Zapata, was murdered in Seattle during the few weeks they spent recording the album that summer of 1993. Produced by the band and longtime friend Scott Benson, Enter: The Conquering Chicken was released posthumously on C/Z Records in 1994. Remastered in 2024 by Jack Endino for Sub Pop Records, this long out-of-print Seattle punk centerpiece is re-released with new artwork and liner notes by Tim Sommer who aptly riffs: "The Gits were an angry, inflamed slinky fully in tune with and tuned by the Bessie Patti Smith of her time, truly the only singer who could summon Joplin, Poly Styrene, Sam Cooke, Iggy Pop, and Ian MacKaye all in the same goddamn song." The Gits are pleased to finally present listeners with the definitive edition of this recording to celebrate a taste of where Mia and their band might have gone. Godkiller - Deliverance CD/LP (Peaceville)
Twenty-fifth anniversary edition of Godkiller's final full-length album of dark metal with industrial & electronic elements. Formed in 1993 & hailing from Monaco, Godkiller was the vision of multi-instrumentalist & sole founding member, Duke Satanaël, who between 1996 & 2000 released an EP & 2 studio albums under the Godkiller name, commencing with the black metal cult classic debut ‘The Rebirth Of The Middle Ages’. ‘Deliverance’ was Godkiller’s second studio album & final release before the project was laid to rest & ventured into a more electronic & industrially metallic direction for what could be considered a more contemporary & expressive take on Godkiller’s established brand of darkness. Incantation - Onward to Golgotha LP (Relapse)
Long heralded as one of the heaviest, sickest, and most uncompromising death metal bands in the world, New Jersey’s Incantation has forged a legacy of brutality unmatched by any other American group. In 1992, the band's most celebrated lineup entered a then unknown Trax East Studios with a then unproven engineer Steve Evetts and emerged with Onward to Golgotha, the darkest and most blasphemous death metal record to date. The combination of the inhuman growl of vocalist Craig Pillard, the ruthlessly savage aural malevolence, and pitiless anti-Christian attack was the ultimate musical sacrilege. Letters to Cleo - Aurora Gory Alice LP (Real Gone Music)
Letters to Cleo’s debut album offers a classic indie rock rags-to-riches story we just don’t hear enough of anymore. The band was close to breaking up (vocalist Kay Hanley had already started another band on the side) when they released Aurora Gory Alice on a small, local (Boston) label called Cherrydisc Records in 1993. A year later, after receiving extensive airplay in New England, Billboard finally reviewed the album and the next day the band played a much-celebrated show at South by Southwest. Major labels then came calling, and Warner Brothers imprint Giant Records signed Letters to Cleo, re-releasing the album in 1994. But fame and fortune STILL eluded the band until Giant was asked to compile a soundtrack for the TV Show Melrose Place and put “Here & Now” on it. Success, however long-delayed, was swift; the song went Top Ten on the Modern Rock charts and the album likewise cracked the album charts. That success was also richly deserved; Aurora Gory Alice presents smart, melodic indie pop graced with Hanley’s soaring vocals. Within the film Johnson examines his troubled relationship with celebrity and the creative process and – through the tragic deaths of his mother and two of his brothers – how bereavement has informed his work and outlook. This film is not a traditional biography of Matt Johnson or The The, although it certainly provides an overview, seamlessly incorporating archive footage and the input of abiding creative collaborators such as Tim Pope.
