New Releases
AJJ - Dirty Old Power LP (AJJ Unlimited Ltd)
For more than two decades, AJJ has been writing albums that attempt to make sense of an increasingly confusing world. But on their ninth album, Dirty Old Power, they are coming to terms with the fact that they may no longer have the words to express it all. “A lot of Dirty Old Power is about how our language is failing us and how we need a new human mode of expression,” says frontman Sean Bonnette. “I see language as being sort of cheapened now that people have figured out how to mechanize it." Dirty Old Power takes stock of this surreal moment in American history where the post-World War II power structures of capitalism have given rise to full-on techno-fascism, and where humanity is being displaced by data centers, VR headsets, and artificial versions of our loved ones. It has been said that to combat the imminent rise of artificial intelligence, humans need to make art that is weirder, darker, more flawed, and more personal. Dirty Old Power is AJJ’s attempt to rebalance the scales and score one for humanity.
Amon Amarth - The Allfather Awakens CD/LP (Metal Blade)
On The Allfather Awakens, Amon Amarth created a definitive 10-song masterwork that further cements the legacy of the lineup's spectacularly memorable riffs and unflinching aural power. The epic tale opener of "Gjallarhorn" is followed by the heroic battlefield tale "Eight Legs of Thunder," while "Upphaf," a translated stanza from the prophetic poem Völuspá, marks the band's first-ever acoustic offering. The iconic Swedish melodic death metallers took a new songwriting approach for The Allfather Awakens, the band's 13th album since 1998's Once Sent from the Golden Hall. The Allfather Awakens came to life across two recording sessions, months apart, at producer Jacob Hansen's studio in Denmark. [Indie exclusive orange & red marble vinyl pressing.]
Baauer - U CD/LP (LuckyMe)
Grammy-nominated producer Baauer's third full-length album calls back to his earliest musical obsessions - the block rockin' hits that ruled the airwaves in the '00s, and the mixes he discovered on Friday night radio. Executive-produced by Hudson Mohawke, U plays like a long-lost Radio 1 Essential Mix, its 16 continuous tracks paying homage to the sample-digging masters of '00s dance domination. From the sparkling beat collage of 'Supersonic' to the big-booty drops on 'Calling Out For U' and delirious disco-house on 'Better', the album's singles emulate the crossover thinking of Y2K's biggest dance acts.
Bailen - Swim!!! LP (Briggs Hill Music)
The third full-length studio album from the sibling trio, and their first record released independently. Band engineered and produced the record themselves with collaborators Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco), Riccardo Damian (Sampha), and Chris Tabron (The Strokes).
The Bends - If You Insist LP (Warner)
The Louisiana 4-piece release their debut album, featuring “Smoking in Bed” and “Seasons Change.” The alt-rock group bottles the energy of the college house parties that launched them from local favorites to a band carving out a rock career of their own. They tackle the brutal honesty of growing up and not having everything figured out. [Clear vinyl pressing.]
Boldy James - Trapper's Alley 3: Hell or High Water LP (Near Mint)

The single most distinctive feature of Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso is their ability to blend wildly different genres and moods without sounding like anyone else. [Clear vinyl pressing.]
Stef Chura - Dancing Alone on the Concrete LP (Saddle Creek)
The first album in seven years from the Detroit singer-songwriter. Produced by Robert Schneider of Apples in Stereo, who recorded much of the Elephant 6 output, the album evinces a mastery of craft that only comes with constant writing, experimenting, and editing; the songs here unfold with the simple inevitability that powers all great songs. Features contributions from Scott Spillane of Neutral Milk Hotel, John Fernandes of the Olivia Tremor Control, David Barbe of Sugar, and Mike Mills and Peter Buck of R.E.M. ["Babydoll" light blue vinyl pressing.]
Allison de Groot - Allison de Groot & Rich Ruth CD/LP (Western Vinyl)
Allison de Groot is a clawhammer banjo player from Winnipeg, Canada whose work spans old-time, bluegrass, and folk traditions. She is recipient of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and an Americana Music Association Instrumentalist of the Year nominee. Rich Ruth is a Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist whose work draws from ambient, spiritual jazz, minimalism, and synth-driven post-rock - compositions that begin with looping drones and synthesizers and expand outward through collaboration. The two came together when Ruth was set to produce a solo record for de Groot. Over the course of about a year in Ruth's Nashville studio, the scope of the project shifted - the two began composing together, and what emerged is shaped as much by space and process as by melody. de Groot's clawhammer banjo moves through looping and delay, set against Ruth's synthesizer arrangements in a way that balances the tactile immediacy of acoustic instruments with the enveloping qualities of electronics.
Dexter & the Moonrocks - Friends That I Don't Like LP (Big Loud)
Debut album from the group out of Abilene, Texas. Dexter and The Moonrocks are a sub-genre all their own. Fusing the sounds of red dirt country with Southern alt / alt-rock influences, they’ve cultivated their trailblazing, fan-labeled “Western Space Grunge” sound meticulously. Inspired by artists ranging from Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Foo Fighters to Tyler Childers and Colter Wall, the self-proclaimed “sad space cowboys” have found a distinct niche, quickly piquing the interest of an incredible community of fans with their edgy take on southern rock.
Ear - Rumspringa CD/LP (A24 Music)
Building upon their previous releases, the indietronica duo (Jonah Paz & Yaelle Avtan) feel more focused on Rumspringa, finding a seamless blend of indie / twee melodies and head-banging bass drops and electronic breakbeats. The album feels instantly nostalgic, with scattered vocal samples that feel like glimpses into memories of adolescence.
Fat Dog - Cancel Me (I'm Tired) LP (Domino)
With their second album, Fat Dog have created an exhilarating, swaggering, panoramic, inventive, re-inventive, re-re-inventive electro-punk-art-pop-rock'n'roll-space-country triumph that deserves all the adjectives. Over ten mind-bending and melodic tracks, it blends electro-pop anthems, cascading rave bangers, cowboy-tinged pitstops and swirling psychedelia. It possesses all the rabid frenzy and electrifying excitement of their debut WOOF, but now delivered on a grand and glorious scale. Big, big things are ahead. Fat Dog are only just getting going. [Indie exclusive coke bottle clear color vinyl pressing.]
Greg Freeman - All Set the Bone CD/2xLP/cassette (Transgressive)
Greg Freeman was barely done making his breakthrough album, Burnover, which was released to wide critical praise and landed in The New York Times Best Albums of 2025 list, when he started writing his new record. All Set the Bone embraces friction instead of refusing it, using scant rehearsal times and urgent, self-appointed deadlines, which was finished quickly, in a real Hollywood studio with one of rock's best modern architects, John Congleton. [Indie exclusive coke bottle clear vinyl pressing.]
Jon Hassell - Music is Invisible (Pentimento Volume Three) CD/LP (Ndeya)
The third part in Jon Hassell’s Pentimento trilogy captures Jon Hassell performing as part of a trio with Rick Cox and John von Seggern at St John at Hackney church, London on 23 May 2015, carefully edited and mixed by Jeff Rona into something much more than a traditional ‘live album’. Themes, motifs and riffs from Hassell’s two final albums, Listening To Pictures and Seeing Through Sound, occur throughout these unique, semi-improvised mutations, making this a fitting final volume in the late career renaissance of the Pentimento series. [Also available as a 3 CD "Pentimento Trilogy" set featuring all three albums from the series.]

Lustmord Lombardo - The Pulse of Atoms CD/2xLP (Ipecac)
Lustmord, the pioneer of modern ambient electronic music, and Dave Lombardo, one of heavy music’s most influential percussionists, have joined forces as Lustmord Lombardo. The two musicians met backstage at a Fantômas show, introduced by mutual friend Buzz Osborne, around the time that Lustmord and Melvins released their collaborative album. Nearly two decades later, Lombardo and Lustmord have convened as Lustmord Lombardo, crafting an album that is as cold and distant as it is frantic and engaging. The Pulse of Atoms showcases an unheard side of Lombardo and brings Lustmord back to his industrial roots. [Clear vinyl pressing.]
Johnny Marr - The Age of Everything CD (BMG)
The Age of Everything is Johnny Marr's fifth full-length studio record. Written in London, developed live on the road across the East Coast of North America and recorded in Manchester, The Age of Everything captures the energy and tensions of the city. Sharp, fast and dynamic, filled with ideas and possibilities. "This is the record that's been the most cathartic. The title came to me early in the process and became an inescapable idea. It seemed to sum up the way I think a lot of people are feeling. It's all encompassing, but it's not necessarily a negative statement. There's a sense of overwhelm in the culture brought about by technology, but looking at it with a different light, there could also be a sense of possibility." - Johnny Marr. [Vinyl edition delayed due to manufacturing issues.]
Victoria Monét - Frequency of Love 2xLP (RCA)
A new chapter for Victoria Monét - timeless, elevated, and utterly commanding. [Indie excusive cream color vinyl pressing.]
Pretty Sick - Anarchy LP (Dirty Hit)
Pretty Sick's sophomore album is Sabrina Fuentes' boldest reinvention yet: a maximal collision of shoegaze, rap, rave, and distorted alt-rock that pushes far beyond the band's grunge roots. Created primarily with producer Oscar Scheller in Los Angeles, the record channels the emotional rawness and DIY spirit that first defined Pretty Sick while embracing explosive electronic production, heavy beats, and towering walls of sound. [Indie exclusive milky clear color vinyl pressing.]
Railcard - Two Steps at a Time LP (Slumberland)
Recently released on CD, now available on vinyl. Railcard formed in 2025 when Rachel Love (Dolly Mixture), Ian Button and Peter Momtchiloff (Heavenly) met at a gig, realized that they were the same age, and decided that this was an excellent reason to form a band. The tunes range from delicate and swoony Bacharach-tinged soft-pop to raucous 'Girls In The Garage' workouts to 60s folk rock bangers to mesmerizing indiepop-meets-kosmiche chug. It's a wide-ranging pop vision informed by decades of combined pop fandom and creation - timeless, vital and, most importantly, a heck of a lot of fun. [Transparent tan color vinyl pressing.]
Emily A. Sprague - Cyano LP (RVNG Int'l)
In Cyano, ambient composer Emily A. Sprague builds an intricate world, expanding a sonic register that is both familiar and viscerally new, reflecting the synthesist and composer's internal register with mirrors to alternate realms. Cyano was conjured through ideas of an imagined planet whose inhabitants are rebuilding forbidden capacities for expressivity and emotional connection. An arc of faithful gestures, Cyano is meditation on visibility, psychic transformation, light transmission, and worlds beyond our knowing. It revels in configurations of connective possibility, where shadow and vision meet incisive truth. [Indie exclusive sky blue vinyl pressing.]
The Watergirls - The Whole of the Moon 12" (DFA)
The Whole Of The Moon” is a classic. It’s a song about awe and hope and love for the people who show us the best of this often broken world, the blessed few who show the way and introduce us to things and thoughts. Keith McIvor aka JD Twitch of Optimo was one of those people, and this version of the track - electronic, euphoric, open-hearted - was made by some members of the broader Optimo community after his terminal brain cancer diagnosis in 2025. So here is the Watergirls’ first and last track, presented as a limited white label with some particularly lethal mixes from Sean Johnston of Hardway Bros and A Love From Outer Space.
Whisper Doll - Lucky Clover LP (Take Care Records)
Whisper Doll's new music comes from a time in frontwoman Fiona Tagami's life when she was actively trying to cultivate whimsy, a sense of possibility. "It's about this switch of trying to be in the world as a hopeful person," she says. The songs' dream-pop sound, with their woozy guitars and ethereal vocal melodies, evokes that feeling. Some moments feel weightless and joyous, others dense with mystery. [Blueberry Cream color vinyl pressing.]
Wishy - Nature's Pill CD/LP/cassette (Winspear)
Wishy’s Nature’s Pill captures a world where life feels unpredictable and overwhelming, yet full of possibility. On their vibrant sophomore record, Wishy entertains the madness–capturing romantic frustration, neurotic desire and the melodrama that ensues from simply being human in a jubilant remix of the past. Nature’s Pill bears all of Wishy’s trademarks: zany lyrics transfiguring melancholia into freedom, choruses set to become instant classics, and an unholy fusion of sugary grunge, indie rock and dream-pop. [Pink vinyl pressing.]
Wynonna - The Hard Truth CD/LP (ANTI-)
Pain threaded with joy is the sound of survival. On The Hard Truth, Wynonna Judd isn't letting go of either one, carrying everything she's endured and reinventing herself as an artist. This eleven-track tribute to deep sorrow and dogged persistence strips away layer after layer of the lush production that defined Wynonna's previous recordings, delivering in its place her most personal and powerful work yet. ANTI- is proud to continue its tradition of embracing American legends and giving them a platform to reach new heights.
Reissues, Comps, Live Recordings, Vault Excavations...
Algernon Cadwallader - Some Kind of Cadwallader LP (Lauren Records)
Released in 2008, Some Kind of Cadwallader is the debut album of Pennsylvania's Algernon Cadwallader. This record is widely celebrated as a spark for the late-2000s Midwest emo revival, pairing the nostalgic emo genre with highly technical math-rock musicianship. Rather than following the polished sound of mainstream rock at the time, Some Kind of Cadwallader captures the raw, energetic atmosphere of a DIY basement show. [Pink & green swirl vinyl pressing.]

Dur-Dur Band - Volume 3 & 4 1988-1989 2xLP (Analog Africa)
Funk, disco and Somali soul from 1980s Mogadishu. In the 1980s, Mogadishu was home to one of East Africa's most vibrant music scenes. Nightclubs, hotels and theatres were filled with the sound of ambitious young musicians blending Somali melodies with funk, disco, reggae, soul and jazz, and at the center of that movement was Dur-Dur Band. Drawing inspiration from Somali traditions as well as international influences, Dur-Dur created music that was both deeply local and remarkably modern. Their early cassette releases quickly spread across Somalia, but it was with Volumes 3 and 4 that the band reached its creative peak. Recorded under difficult circumstances, these albums captured a group pushing against every limitation: experimenting with rhythms, arrangements and studio techniques while facing personal losses and a country moving toward crisis. Volume 4 became one of Dur-Dur's most adventurous recordings - combining electronic percussion, unusual drum textures and reggae-inspired grooves with the unmistakable spirit of Somali music.

Featuring Ervin fronting a top-shelf quintet with Charles Tolliver on trumpet, John Hicks on piano, Red Mitchell on bass, and Lenny McBrowne on drums, the sublime program included originals by Ervin (“Boo’s Blues”) and Tolliver (“Franess”), songbook standards (“Dancing In The Dark,” “You’re My Everything,” and “Deep Night”), and pieces by eminent jazz composers: Billy Strayhorn’s “Take The ‘A’ Train,” Oliver Nelson’s “Stolen Moments,” and Randy Weston’s “Berkshire Blues.”

Recorded in April 1961, Hub Cap was the first of his Blue Note dates that also highlighted Hubbard’s growing skill as a composer, with four of the album’s six pieces coming from his pen including the hard-charging title track, the alluring, richly-textured “Luana,” and the swaggering shuffle of the swinging “Osie Mae.” Bringing the music to life was a sympatico sextet with trombonist Julian Priester and tenor saxophonist Jimmy Heath joining Hubbard on the frontline backed by a rhythm section of pianist Cedar Walton, bassist Larry Ridley, and drummer Philly Joe Jones.

NOFX - 40 Years of F***in' Up LP/2xLP (Fat Wreck Chords)
For four decades, NOFX have been one of punk's loudest, messiest, and most stubbornly independent bands. Now they're bringing that entire history, every bad decision, great song, and unbelievable story, to theaters with 40 YEARS OF F***IN' UP, a raw, unfiltered documentary that plays the way it should: loud, communal, and on the big screen at your local movie theater. This is not a sanitized rock doc. It's the real thing. The drugs, the drinking, the on-stage disasters, the off-stage disasters, and yes, at least one story involving a truly unfortunate medical situation. The film follows the band as they hit their late 50s and head out on their final tour, looking back on the chaos that defined them and the friendships that somehow held it all together. 2xLP edition includes 6 rare and unreleased tracks including "Secret Society (demo)", "On The Road (demo)" and "La Bamba (cover)." [Single LP edition pressed on pink vinyl. Double LP edition pressed on turquoise vinyl.]

Unwound - Leaves Turn Inside You CD/2xLP/cassette (Numero)
The Unwound album that ended all Unwound albums. Recorded in a moldering farmhouse basement at the crest of the new century, Leaves Turn Inside You is the no-wave response to Spector's wall of noise call. Infinite layers of choppy guitar stabs and bridge scrapes, guttural bass thronk, thrift store synths, and monotone chanting wash over suffocating rhythms to deliver the world's only choral grunge LP. This 25th anniversary edition has been remastered from the original analog tapes and is housed in a silver foil jacket with added emboss, deboss, spot varnish, and a replica 12x24" poster.
