The Light was Delta Rae’s first record since 2015. The album is genre-defying with a bit of Americana, mixing in major pop choruses, classic southern songwriting, and the soul of Motown. James Daykin writes “Put quite simply, there is no more suitable name for this album than ‘The Light’. It is a joyous, unconstrained, heart-warming piece of work. It’s like going to church, but a church in which the religion is one of music, joy and love.
