This June Nick Govrik, aka “Nicky G” releases his anticipated solo debut, One More Time For The Man. (Del Rio Records). A 10-song effort, the album is a masterclass in country soul storytelling and old-school R&B authenticity delivered by this Nashville songwriter and bassist. One More Time for the Man isn’t just a collection of tracks—it’s a cohesive body detailing Govik’s Nashville-bred Gen X journey.

Produced by guitar phenom Tom Bukovac, the record’s legitimacy and believability is solidified by a bill of all-star friends and musicians—Will Hoge, Ed Jurdi, Guthrie Trapp, Wendy Moten, Jimmy Wallace—who have appeared throughout Govrik’s career. Coined by critics as “a cross between Randy Newman and Sly Stone,” Gorvik’s fusion is truly realized on the album. One More Time For The Man is available to preorder here on vinyl and CD.
