Witt will performing a short set, signing copies of her new album, Between Heaven & Earth, and sitting down with transcendental meditation teacher Donielle Freeberg, of the David Lynch Foundation, for a moderated Q&A. Between Heaven & Earth officially drops on Friday, August 28th so we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to host Witt in the shop and offer her new record an entire week early! Between Heaven & Hell is Nashville-based musician and actor Alicia Witt’s 8th studio record. Produced by renowned producer and singer-songwriter Joe Henry (Emmylou Harris; Milk Carton Kids; Bonnie Raitt; Rodney Crowell), the album was recorded live in studio in 5 days in New York City in January 2026. Alicia Witt on piano and vocals, accompanied by a band of 5 musicians, takes you on a sonic journey that could never be recreated, channeling the energy that was brought together in this moment to honor the immeasurable effect that David Lynch had and still has on the world. He was palpably present in every moment of the making of this album. The 13 songs that Witt selected for the album reflect what she learned about love from David - the acceptance, the insistent optimism, the curiosity, and the permanence. The album’s final song, “The Director,” recounts messages she feels he’s sent to her from beyond over the year since he passed away. The songs appear in the order in which they were recorded, as the band drew deeper and deeper into the matrix. All are original works by Alicia Witt, including “Thank You,” the first single from the album, written with and featuring Grammy winner John Paul White (Civil Wars). Between Heaven & Earth takes the listener on a journey to a place where only love is real, hanging suspended amongst the fragments of the day to day life we can see and touch - and another timeline just beyond this one.

Between Heaven & Earth is available to preorder here on as a Blue-Green colored vinyl 2 LP set and CD for local, event pickup. Preorders may be picked up at Grimey’s on Friday, August 21st the day of our event with Alicia Witt.

Preorders are limited to a total of four (4) total per customer / household. All who place preorders in advance will receive an email with preorder pickup and event details shortly before our Alicia Witt event.
