On Saturday, November 22nd we’re hosting a very special BEER:30 where we’ll be celebrating the new, expanded reissue of The Replacements’ Let It Be, due out 11/21 via Rhino Records. Available as a 3 CD set and a 4 LP set, the deluxe edition of Let It Be features a new remaster of the album from the original two-track analog stereo tapes, alongside previously unreleased and rare studio outtakes and intimate Paul Westerberg home demos. The set also includes a complete, previously unreleased concert recorded in March 1984 at Cubby Bear in Chicago, IL., and a booklet that features liner notes by music journalist and singer and songwriter, Elizabeth Nelson (Paranoid Style).
In addition to spinning cuts from the Let It Be box set at our party, we’ll also be distributing party favors and raffle tickets for a special giveaway. (Raffle tickets are free & limited to one per person; you must be present to win.) Copies of the deluxe reissue on vinyl & CD will be available for purchase in the shop starting on Friday, 11/21.
A note on BEER:30 events—our Replacements’ Let It Be release listening party coincides with our weekly BEER:30 hang, so we’ll be offering free Tennessee Brew Works beers to those 21+ (with valid IDs). Beer is complimentary but we are collecting cash tips to be donated to support the good works of the folks at DRKMTTR, Nashville's enduring all-ages space, that thrives as a hub for connectivity and creative collaboration. Beyond being a music venue, DRKMTTR stands as a nexus of resilience, cultivating a dynamic community where the DIY ethos transforms into collective action. Through cross-pollination initiatives, DRKMTTR links artists, organizes communities & the under-21 crowd, and as a 501-C3 non-profit, they seek the backing necessary to perpetuate their pivotal role and create a lasting influence.
