Please join us at Grimey’s on Saturday, February 21st at 4:30 for our Tansy House Listening Party where we’ll be spinning the new Mitski album in the record shop and listening to the full album for the first time, nearly one week before it officially drops on 2/27! As a part of our event we’ll be sharing special notepads of Tansy House letterhead and providing a crafting space and supplies so you can
write, doodle, and scrapbook as you listen to Nothing’s About to Happen to Me. When you finish creating your pages, we’ll attach them to a “Desk of Mitski“poster hanging in the shop. We’ll be sharing photos of our decorated poster and favorite scrapbook pages with Mitski and her label for consideration for her @themitskiverse Instagram page. In addition to listening and crafting we’ll also be sharing party favors and raffle tickets with attendees for a chance to win a stamped test-pressing of the new Mitski album! (Raffle tickets are free & limited to one per person; must be present to win.) And as you might have noted, our Mitski listening event is happening at the same time as our favorite weekly hang, BEER:30!
A note on BEER:30 events—Our Mitski listening party coincides with our weekly BEER:30 hang, so we’ll be offering free Tennessee Brew Works beers to those 21+ (with valid IDs). Beer is complimentary but we are collecting cash tips to be donated to support the good works of the folks at DRKMTTR, Nashville's enduring all-ages space, that thrives as a hub for connectivity and creative collaboration. Beyond being a music venue, DRKMTTR stands as a nexus of resilience, cultivating a dynamic community where the DIY ethos transforms into collective action. Through cross-pollination initiatives, DRKMTTR links artists, organizes communities & the under-21 crowd, and as a 501-C3 non-profit, they seek the backing necessary to perpetuate their pivotal role and create a lasting influence.
