We’ll be welcoming Kip back to Grimey’s on Tuesday, June 2nd at 4:00 PM for a Q&A and album signing. He’ll be signing copies of his new album for attendees as well as answering questions provided by fans. All who preorder his new record from our site here will receive a wristband for our album signing. Wristbands will be distributed with preorder pickup and are required to participate in the signing for anyone 13 and older. (*Kids 12 & under don’t need wristbands if attending with wristband-holding adults.)
On Reason To Believe Kip Moore sings about grief, faith and the weight of time–documenting a man standing still long enough to hear himself think. While recording the album, Kip lost his mentor, champion, first producer and songwriter Brett James. He even named the album after a song James loved that Kip wrote years ago alongside longtime collaborator Dan Couch and Scott Stepakoff. He produced the entirety of the album with DeRoberts, marking the first time he worked with the lauded producer. DeRoberts brought a sonic philosophy Kip hadn’t explored as deeply before: space over volume. The process pushed him into a place where he let passion and familiarity guide him, as he did in his early career working alongside James .The result is an album that feels career-spanning with upbeat rockers meant for the crowd, vulnerable meditations on hardship meant for quiet and other songs that are meant to be lifelines by giving the listener a sense of comfort.
Reason to Believe is officially out on Friday, May 29th via Virgin Music and will be for sale in the shop starting that date, however to attend our event you’ll want to lock in a preorder for a CD or vinyl on our site here now.
Our event with Kip Moore is an in-person, Q&A and record signing only. We’d love to collect questions for our Q&A with Kip in advance. Please email your questions to us (here: grimeys.records@gmail.com) using the subject line “Kip Moore Questions”. Please do not bring photos, posters, gear or merch to this signing event. Kip will sign as many as four (4) albums (records & CDs) per person. Due to time limitations photos will be limited to those taken from the sidelines and signing line; no selfies or staged photos please. Wristbands are required* to participate in this signing experience.
