At our High Lights listening party we’ll be spinning albums from the dank Jazz Dispensary catalog, sharing party favors, and selling the copies of the new Jazz Dispensary limited edition compilation, Cosmic Stash: High Lights*, available exclusively at shops hosting anniversary celebrations. (While supplies last. Purchases limited to one, per person, in person only; no holds or special orders please.)

Jazz Dispensary was founded in 2016 with the Record Store Day release of the original Cosmic Stash, a 4 LP set of some of the most iconic and hard-to-find drum breaks, legendary samples, and a who’s who of players and producers including: Bernard Purdie, Isaac Hayes, David Axelrod, the Lafayette Afro Rock Band, the Blackbyrds, Pharoah Sanders, and more. The series has continued ever since with a compilation for Record Store Day or Black Friday each year, plus straight reissues of some of the deep gems in the Concord catalogs, always with the connoisseur in mind. Our own co-owner Doyle Davis personally curated two of the label’s legendary comps, The Dank D-Funk Blend Vols. 1 & 2, both released as limited editions for Record Store Day and Black Friday in 2019 and 2021.

At our High Lights party we’ll be staying hydrated thanks to the good folks at Louie Louie, who are providing complimentary thc seltzers for the occasion (for those 21+ w/ valid ID), plus we’ll have fizzy waters and sodas for those not in the mood to partake.
