Insane on Trinity Lane - The Great Bazaar: Record Store Day Drops + Outdoor Pop Up Market

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

Well friends, summer is almost here! We’re all set for Record Store Day Drops on Saturday, June 18th—it's the release day for RSD exclusives that weren't ready in time for the big day back in April. And we thought what better way to celebrate than to hang out with a bunch of our talented and creative friends and neighbors while we listen to great records and enjoy our wonderful community here in East Nashville. We partnered with Be Good Market last fall for a fantastic outdoor pop-up event and are so excited to work with them again to bring you Insane on Trinity Lane - The Great Bazaar. We’re going to kick things off at 10:00 am, when Grimey’s and Anaconda Vintage will open and the outdoor market will begin. Living Waters opens at 8:00 am, so head over early for a brew or to hop in line for the RSD exclusives. Just as with Record Store Day in April, we will offer RSD exclusive “menu style” where customers line up at our back entrance and then at 10:00 will receive menus from which to “order” their records. we We'll have all the goodies from Prince, Jerry Garcia, Linda Martell, Miles Davis, Halestorm, Paul McCartney & St Vincent, My Morning Jacket, Pearl Jam and more. See the complete list at the Record Store Day website. (If you missed Record Store Day in April, make sure to check out our selection of exclusive RSD titles still available, for time being anyway.) And for the first time in years, we’re setting up a sidewalk sale of super cheap LPs, CDs and 45s which will be part of Insane on Trinity Lane - The Great Bazaar!

Our neighbors Anaconda Vintage will be hosting a Children’s Clothing Pop-up, in addition to offering their awesome regular selection of vintage wares (including their $5 racks). And neighbors Living Waters always serves as an oasis where you can find delicious beer and coffee—the best of both worlds—as well as wonderful plants courtesy of Jungle House Plants. Special Bazaar pop-up vendors include Chelsea Faith Ceramics, Lost Cause, Wildland Woodworks, Green Ray Books, Nicole Atkins (art), Gift Horse, Black Cloud Metal, Forestdale Incense, Robbie Stillwell tintypes and Be Good Market who, in addition to coordinating our awesome event, will also be offering their own delightful vintage goods. Treats will be available from a couple of our favorites, Retro Sno and Salty Cubana! Plus there will be face painting by Olivia Tallon, DJ sets from our amazing all-volunteer, people-powered radio station WXNA, and a voter registration drive with the Nashville Chapter of the League of Women Voters. It’s going to be a super fun day and we can’t wait to hang with everyone!!

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION! Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is limited. In addition to our lot, there is an inexpensive paid parking lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's on Gallatin Road that is a short walk from the shop. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the nearby, narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, the police being called, and cars being towed. (This is no fun at all.) If possible, please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to The Great Bazaar.
