Join us on Wednesday, September 3rd at 4:00 PM when we’ll gather in the record shop to listening to the new Big Thief album, Double Infinity! The record officially drops on Friday, 9/5, so this will be your first chance (and our’s!) to hear the album in full. We’ve loved “Incomprehensible,” “Los Angeles” and “Grandmother,” the first song all three members of Big Thief wrote together, so really can’t wait to hear the album’s other tracks! In addition to spinning the Double Infinity in the shop, we’ll also be sharing party favors and distributing raffle tickets for our grand prize giveaway. (Raffle tickets are free, however you must be present to win.) This is a free & all ages affair, so come one, come all!

Double Infinity is Big Thief’s sixth album, their 4th for 4AD, and it’s their first since original bassist Max Oleartchik left the band. Though operating as a three-piece, Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, and James Krivchenia and joined by contributing musicians Alena Spanger, Caleb Michel, Hannah Cohen, Jon Nellen, Joshua Crumbly, June McDoom, Laraaji, Mikel Patrick Avery, and Mikey Buishas. Recorded over three weeks at The Power Station in NYC, Double Infinity was produced, engineered, and mixed by Dom Monks.
