Green Day Saviors Listening Party + BEER:30

  • Grimey's New and Preloved Music 1060 East Trinity Lane Nashville, TN, 37216 United States (map)

Green Day is not your savior. But the spirit of rock n roll might be! And as one of the greatest punk band alive, they're the loudest vessel we have... to give it a shot. Green Day are ready to flip off the famous, stupid and contagious, by putting a mirror to the present tense like only they can, with Saviors—an inspired new studio album to be released on January 19th via Warner Music. Amazingly, Saviors is Green Day's 14th studio album, yet somehow this enduring power trio, Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool & Mike Dirnt, remains devoted to their defiant craft that has fueled their career-long destruction of every boundary bestowed on the genre (and landed 3 East Bay punks in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame). The new album was recorded in both London and Los Angeles under the audacious ear and Rock prowess of Green Day's longtime friend & collaborator, GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo.

We hope you’ll join us on Saturday, January 13th for your chance to hear Saviors almost one week early and score some sweet Green Day swag! We’re going to spin a copy of the new album right at 5:00 PM, aka BEER:30, and will be giving away prizes including exclusive lyric books, pins, posters, shirts and more.

Every Saturday at 5:00 PM we host a special hang we call BEER:30, where we share free Tennessee Brew Works beers with our of-age customers (21+ only; valid state or federal ID required.) While there is not cost for the beers provided, we do encourage you to tip—all tips collected go to support an ever important organization, The American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee. ACLU-TN is dedicated to translating the guarantees of the Bill of Rights into reality for all Tennesseans. They are an enduring guardian of justice, freedom, fairness and equality, working to protect and advance civil liberties and civil rights for all Tennesseans. It is their goal to preserve the Bill of Rights for future generations. They work extend rights to individuals and communities who have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color; LGBTQ people; women; prisoners; people with disabilities; and the poor—If the rights of society’s most vulnerable members are denied, everybody’s rights are imperiled.

This is a free & all ages event, so come one, come all!
