His new album will officially be released on Friday, April 26th and he’ll be hanging with us in the record shop the next weekend to welcome it into the world with a free & all ages in-store performance. You can preorder New Age Rage now in the record shop and on our website here. All preorders placed for local, store pickup will include a wristband for Slick’s album signing. Space is limited. *Wristbands are required for the signing and guarantee entrance to the in-store performance; these will be available for pickup starting on Friday, April 26th, along with the album.
Slick is a Nashville cat these days but he hails Philly and first came to our attention as the drummer for one of our longtime faves, Dr. Dog. In addition to playing in Dr. Dog, Slick worked with everyone from Nels Cline to Daniel Rossen (Grizzly Bear) and Ruston Kelly to Ween. For the last decade Slick has also worked as a singer and songwriter, releasing solo albums on a handful of labels. His new album, New Age Rage, will be pressed on vinyl and CD via Slick Records (Thirty Tigers). We’re pumped to spend our afternoon with Eric and can’t wait to see him play songs from the new album in the shop. Read more about New Age Rage on our site now.
