The Black Keys Ohio Players Album Signing & Record Release Celebration

The Black Keys Grimey’s Signing

Our signing event is now sold out! Thanks to all who participated. We’ll see y’all soon.

We’re big fans of The Black Keys and have a fun history with the band, having hosted them for performances in our old spot on 8th Avenue and having had a couple of sweet Black Keys murals on the walls of our current location (check out the newest mural here.) We are so pumped to announce that on Thursday, April 11th we’re hosting Dan and Patrick for an album signing to celebrate the release of their new album! The guys will be signing copies of Ohio Players at Grimey’s at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 11th starting at 4:00 PM.

To participate in The Black Keys album signing, purchase a copy of Ohio Players on our website here or in the record store and you’ll receive a wristband for our event. Wristbands are required for the album signing line. Due to time constraints and so as many fans as possible can participate, The Black Keys will only be signing copies of their new album. Each customer can order as many as four (4) total copies of Ohio Players on vinyl and/or CD for a total of four wristbands—one wristband per album purchased—allowing for up to four people to participate per order placed. Wristbands are non-transferable and are required for participation in this event. (Wristbands are not required for those 12 & under if attending with a wristband-holding adult.) If you already purchased Ohio Players through Grimey’s we will have wristbands reserved for you based on the number of albums you initially preordered (if you purchased your album from us in the shop, please reach out to anna @ grimeys.com before Thursday, 4/11.) You must be present to participate in our Black Keys Ohio Players album signing. (Sorry but we are unable to have albums signed for mail order or those who order the album but cannot attend.)

Wristbands for this event will be distributed with album pickup on Thursday, April 11th. We encourage you to arrive no earlier than one hour prior to event start time--everyone who receives a wristband will be able to go through the signing line, so no need to line up extra early. The signing line will form outside our front entrance and wrap around our building starting at the Paramore Record Store Day mural. Before hopping in line, please be sure to grab your wristband and album from one of the upstairs counters in the record store. This is a rain or shine event, which involves standing in line. Please arrive with that in mind and consider bringing along a tote bag so you won't' have to hold your album in your hand during your time in line. If you need assistance or accommodations, please reach out to us via email in advance of Thursday, so we can help.

Because parking on-site is VERY LIMITED, we request that you please carpool, ride-share, use public transportation, or walk to our event. (For those who haven’t been to the shop in a while, please note the grassy lot next door is no longer available for parking.)

IMPORTANT PARKING INFORMATION!
Our parking lot is shared with other rad businesses and it is a finite space, so parking is very limited. Another parking option is the pay lot behind Elegy Coffee and Mickey's off Gallatin Road, two blocks down the street. Please use EXTREME CAUTION if parking on the narrow neighborhood streets. Too many cars make these roads impassable and result in angry neighbors, police calls, and towing. Do not block driveways, mail boxes or otherwise park in such a way where you make the road impossible to drive down. If you block driveways, mail boxes or illegally block traffic you will be ticketed or towed. Please consider carpooling, ride-sharing, walking, biking, scooting, roller skating, or taking the bus to attend this Grimey’s event.
